You broke it, didn't you?!

We're sorry, some parts of the Friends feature are temporarily unavailable.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you've previously added Friends, don't worry — we've saved all of your friend information for you and it will be back in no time. In the meantime, please enjoy the rest of the site.

Antmeister 06-21-2007 01:15 PM

DC, I will be your netflix friend. You should ask me by email when I get home and I will send you my email address. Poor thing...only 1 netflix friend. :D

Lathum 06-21-2007 01:32 PM

what is the benefit of the friends feature?

Well the cool thing about the friends feature is that you get to each learn how a group of friends ranked a movie you are about to queue, write reviews for all to see and vice versa.

Based on my group, I have already been exposed to a number of movies I either had no interest in watching initially or have never heard of before.

Yes, I think I did. Actually, it's been unavailable for days... hopefully it gets back up soon I'm curious to see what's in your queues.

So um.. I don't see your email address anywhere in this thread. Am I getting the hook up or what? :)

Axxon 06-22-2007 12:14 PM

axxon2wire AT yahoo dot com although I just started last month so my queue isn't all that exciting right now.

Doug5984 06-22-2007 09:40 PM

I can't find it- but where / how do you add friends?

Lorena 06-22-2007 09:43 PM

Leave my friends alone Antmeister!!11!!

Added you all, thanks again :)

I have added Karas to my Q thanks to Sachmo's review and moved it up to the top. I've never seen a horror anime, should be entertaining.

RendeR 06-24-2007 09:20 AM

I added a few of you that added me, interesting thing with the friends quiz thing. I didn't get a single one right =)

I looked at how everyone rated movies and I've gotten a several of them right. I've also gotten a few of Antmeister's questions wrong which makes no sense

Alan T 12-28-2007 12:05 PM

I added a handful of people to my netflix friends list. If anyone wants to add me, drop me a PM. I like looking at other people's ratings to get ideas for new movies. :)

ISiddiqui 12-28-2007 12:11 PM

Uh oh, Alan... you have an 80% similarity to me in movies!! :D

I wonder how that is measured, you only have a 72% similarity to me on my page. (which puts you third)..

On a related note, should I be worried that the person with the closest taste to me is a girl? :)

RomaGoth 12-28-2007 12:16 PM

Damn. I don't have any friends on Netflix. Of course, I don't have any friends in real life either...............:( .

Anyway, my email is [email protected]

That's pretty awesome. $7.44/DVD :(

spleen1015 05-11-2009 01:45 PM

Are any of you guys using Netflix through your 360?

sabotai 05-11-2009 01:46 PM

$3.40 per DVD. I'm a bit surprised, actually, because I've been very lazy about returning them in the last several months.

If I tell it to do my entire history, it comes out to $0.49 per DVD.

wade moore 05-11-2009 01:54 PM

Nice.

Your cost: $20.98 per DVD
With Instant Watch: $20.98
You're in the 99th percentile. i.e., 99% of FeedFlixers pay less than you per movie

wade moore 05-11-2009 01:56 PM

That was 3 months history..

All time history:

Your cost: $16.86 per DVD
With Instant Watch: $15.29
You're in the 98th percentile. i.e., 98% of FeedFlixers pay less than you per movie

wade moore 05-11-2009 01:57 PM

I really have gotten much less usage since I moved into my new house because I spend a lot more time working in the yard, etc, etc.. but really my use has always been HEAVY TV show netflixing in the summer and very light use otherwise.

Alan T 05-11-2009 02:01 PM

Your cost: $0.94 per DVD
With Instant Watch: $0.83
You're in the 23rd percentile. i.e., 23% of FeedFlixers pay less than you per movie

I use it on my tivo. I am a fan, particularly for TV shows.

lordscarlet 05-11-2009 02:23 PM

Netflixer since: June 2005
Returned to date: 68 titles
Most recent return: 25/Feb/09 i.e. 2 months ago
Average time you keep DVDs at home: 27 days
Movies seen per month: 1.4 by DVD and 0.9 by Instant Watch
Your 2 at-a-time (Unlimited) plan costs you $13.99/month
Your cost: $9.67 per DVD
With Instant Watch: $5.87
You're in the 89th percentile. i.e., 89% of FeedFlixers pay less than you per movie
The above stats reflect your activity over your entire rental history

lordscarlet 05-11-2009 02:24 PM

last 3 months was heavily weighted to instant.. liek.. $0.44/dvd or something. Hwoever, it counts each episode of a tv show as a disc for instant.

Alan T 05-11-2009 02:28 PM

I notice that it doesn't take into account that I have three profiles with 3 discs out at a time. So my $0.94 per dvd is actually quite lower I imagine.
