Firefox and banner ads on FOFC

Hey guys,

Just cracked out the new laptop and downloaded Firefox and Ad Blocker Plus but I'm seeing some banner ads here (I blocked the ones where the little block icon came up). On my old laptop, with Firefox and Ad Blocker Plus I don't see any. Any thoughts what I need to do to the new one to make sure I'm not getting these? Thanks in advance,

Brad

You've subscribed to the EasyList (USA) filter?

Yeah, when I got a new laptop, I had to pick a filter to subscribe to.

Next thing you'll tell me is that Facebook has ads.

I'm onto you.

I use Opera every once in a while, just because I like the looks of it for some reason, and I am always surprised how different websites look.

I use noscript with Firefox and it's frankly amazing how many websites are completely non-functional without javascript.

Edit: We've come a long way since people used to bitch about webmasters not putting in ALT for image tags so people with "browsers" like lynx could still understand the website. :D

People should still put alt tags so that those with sight impairments can see them. :)

My alt's almost always say "a picture of a duck" these days.
