TCY/FOF Interactive: Year 7- TCY
2010 will begin soon.
Remember to give a holler if anything needs fixing or you have an idea to make this more enjoyable. I will, as you can see from the title, split the dynasty into separate threads for the TCY and FOF portions. We'll see how it goes. Maybe GB can join in a bit, now. New? Check out TCY/FOF Interactive: Year 6 Here. You can get to the rest of the history from there. The FOF section for year 7 can be found Here. Sign-up for your own player Here. Coming shortly... |
Updated sign-up list. It is H.S. Class of 2010's shot at the big time.
If anyone notices, and wonders, Florida's QB crop sucked badly. I contacted Coolclint and he has changed to another position. I do try to deal with these 'executive' things before a decision is made. If there is any mistake, let me know. |
We seem to have a decent group of recruits this season, with a couple of genius types and some excellent athletic prep scores.
Anyone care to guess on the schools we will get this time? Our recruits are spread around pretty well, with 3 QBs and 2 defenders. We are now watching 14 colleges, as Oregon State and South Carolina are not FOFC anymore, but Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Pitt are in. There are 5 NFL teams now, btw, for the FOF thread. We are now watching 6 players in the NFL, 24 in college and 5 new HS recruits. We have 5 seniors that will graduate- Copeland, Whit, Nielsen, Mayes and Brice. |
High School: "Cool C"
James has been scouted by Coach Ripken, who is poor with defensive backs. Here are Halfords's stats thus far:
|
High School: "Pistol"
T.E. has been scouted by Coach Valentine, who is fair with quarterbacks. Here are Almighty's stats thus far:
|
High School: "Greenie"
Martin has been scouted by Coach Forest, who is decent with quarterbacks. Here are Blank's stats thus far:
|
High School: "007"
Marc has been scouted by Coach Hildebrandt, who is pretty good with quarterbacks. Here are Adams' stats thus far:
|
Yikes! I'm retarded!
|
High School: "Tuck-n-Run"
A.J. has been scouted by Coach Markham, who is pretty good with linebackers. Here are Tucker's stats thus far:

You shoulda seen the other choice. |
a) these QBs LOVE to run
b) these nicknames are getting tough to come by |
Bad year for Jersey football, eh?
What's "rate cons"? |
Yearly disclaimer... as Anchorage is the school I have to view recruits by, I hire new coaches each year, if needed, to maximize their abilities in the positions that have been requested for the recruits to come in that year- if I know the position, and not just the state.
Unfortunately, since I do nothing for the Anchorage team, they suck very badly, and getting any half-way decent coaches to come to Anchorage is very difficult. When trying for a new scout, I usually have just 15 or so to choose from- most of whom really are terrible. |

"Ratings consistency" is what it is. What it really does or tells you, I don't really know, though I bet one of our compatriots could tell us if they saw the question. |
Quote:
The only other candidate has a 2.14 gpa with a 702 test score and a 12 academic prep score. Academic probation for sure, I would think. The only other NJ prospects in the top 200+ are O linemen. |

I was always under the impression is that it is how long your bars are in relation to each other. i.e. if you have high ratings consistency, all your green bars will go to a similar length. |
Bring on the college coaches and booster funds!
|
Hopefully I'll actually get some mf-ing playing time this season...
|
This is the year for the Cougars. Everything(minus offensive line) is falling into place.
|
I want a bowl game or the tackle title. Whichever comes first! ;)

Just give me the First Team All-American Award now. :)

NCAA: "The Deacon"
Derrick gained 1 pound in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting OLB Copeland had an excellent 19 point gain to his Current. He is now the man at OLB for Michigan, which has shown a steep decline in overall defensive strength. With their D-line, the linebackers better step it up. Derrick is getting 20% Weight and 19% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Whit-Lash"
Kel gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting WR Kel must deal with a much lower ranked QB. It remains to be seen whether the 'Huskers will ever throw the ball enough to suit Whit, as the RB has over 400 carries each of the last 2 years. Kel is getting 17% Weight and 32% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Warlord"
Rob gained 2 more pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting QB Nielsen is finally the man in the Michigan huddle, but will we get the QB that was a super-sub 2 years ago or the mediocre back-up from last year. The offensive line is average, so Rob will get a few carries, one would think. Rob is getting 8% Weight and 31% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Blade"
Colton gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Mayes bounced back in Current from last years drop, gaining 12 points. With the crappy FB (a true freshman), Michigan may go to a pro set. Either way, Colton should get more than the 104 attempts of 2009. Colton is getting 14% Weight and 23% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Eagle"
Tim gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Tim dropped 2 points in Current, but raised his Future, which should help in the next NFL draft. Tim has a very good offensive line and, with mediocre receivers, look for Brice to be at the top of the rushing leaderboard this season. Tim is getting 15% Weight and 25% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "DeTox"
Danny gained 5 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting DE Wilson is now, Current of 41 or no, the #1 DE on the team. The defense is not the shutdown group of past years, but with another year left and Future still at 100, Wilson looks to be an anchor for the Wolverines. Danny is getting 22% Weight and 14% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Cool Breeze"
Benton gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting CB Gale, up 9 more points in Current to 89, is the highest rated player on the preseason #1 State team. The defense has several holes, so the CB play will be a key to the season. Benton is getting 15% Weight and 23% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "J.C."
James gained 3 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting DT Clark has a R.S. So at 61 Current, so he better stay strong and work hard. The D-line is a strength of the Nittany Lion team and will be expected to cover for some of the weakness at S and LB. James is getting 27% Weight and 14% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Vanilla"
Cody gained 1 pound in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting QB Myers gained another 14 points to Current/Future. Unfortunately, though the ofensive line is much improved from a year ago, the WRs are terrible, leaving the Cougars to try and run the ball as much as possible. Hopefully, this will cut down on the sacks, and the potential for injury. Cody is getting 8% Weight and 30% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Duckman"
Kevin gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting S After 2 of the worst recruiting years in history, Miami finally has a decent class of freshmen. That won't help Heath much. As Emmitt Smith would tell you, Kevin is a diamond surrounded by trash. I don't know why they are rated #24 in preseason, but don't look for too many wins- just look for lots of tackles from Heath. Kevin is getting 16% Weight and 20% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Commish"
Mack gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #3 OLB JeeberD made a 9 point gain in Current while keeping his 100 Future. That wasn't enough to get into the starting lineup, but he's now in a position to play more. Now he needs to work on academics to say eligible next year. The other OLBs on the Texas team are:
|
NCAA: "The Hulk"
Rob gained 5 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #3 OT Tennessee has 10 OTs on their roster, as they recruit 2 every year. While Rob has jumped 18 points Current, he is still not a starter- ever so closely. Expect another great offseason from the Hulk and, eventually, the stardom we expected out of HS. The other OTs on the Tennessee team are:
|
NCAA: "Ewok"
Jesse gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Ewiak gained 14 points to Current and is now the 2nd best Lion, behind Benton Gale. His O-line is not too strong while the WRs are quite good. Maybe more passing than Jesse would like for Penn State this season. Jesse is getting 15% Weight and 24% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Bug"
Kyle gained 1 pound in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting WR Kappe was pretty stagnant in the offseason, but still managed a starting nod. There is a senior at 49 Current, so Kyle cannot slack-up a bit. With a bad QB, you may see the Trojans run the ball more than in the past. Kyle is getting 13% Weight and 26% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The King"
David gained 5 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting ILB (3-4) Gonzalez has gotten very good, very fast. He gained 28 points to Current and is already, as a true sophomore, one of the Trojans best players. David may get a few picks this season, dropping in coverage to help out the 8 Current Trojan safety. David is getting 20% Weight and 16% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Big B"
Brian gained 6 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #2 QB Butts had a lousy off season, maybe due to a coaching change. Even with that, he is still #2 at his position, but with a R.S. Fr staring at him for the whole season. One would hope his 31% Football Study this season will rocket him back where he belongs. The other QBs on the Georgia Tech team are:
|
NCAA: "Professor"
Tater gained 7 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting WR Gator rose 14 Current but dropped 36 Future. That puts him starting on a not so good WR corps. Of course, Tim Brice hopes he never sees the ball, but Tater is young and will adapt as needed and bide his time. Tater is getting 14% Weight and 23% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Doc"
Mister gained 3 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #3 RB Sachmo gained 8 Current and 21 Future. On most any other team, he would be looking at a 4 year starter, Hall of Fame career. As a Vol, he's looking at a ton of talent and a fight for any playing time each and every year. The other RBs on the Tennessee team are:
|
NCAA: "Gazelle"
David gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #3 WR Williams gained 16 to his Current. Two WR recruits every year means lots of competition. David is #3, though, so should get some balls thrown his way on passing downs. The good news- both the starters are gone next season. The other WRs on the Colorado team are:
|
NCAA: "The General"
Mike is redshirting this season. He gained 21 pounds in the summer. Ritschel is in need of a good year of work and study as the Jr and he are neck-and-neck for the #2 spot next year. The other CBs on the Georgia team are:
|
NCAA: "you WILL puke"
Tobias is redshirting this season. He gained 3 pounds in the summer. Beecher is at a position at Michigan with many talented but slow/undeveloped players. If he takes advantage, he will star. If he is lazy, he will wallow on the bench for a few years. The other DEs on the Michigan team are:
|
NCAA: "dyno-MITE"
James is redshirting this season. He gained 15 pounds in the summer. Jackson is at a school where DTs are few and far between. That's good in terms of competition, but bad in terms of plays available from the DT spot each game. He better get good if he wants to play. The other DTs on the Florida State team are:
|
NCAA: "Grassy Knoll"
Stan is redshirting this season. He gained 11 pounds in the summer. Gunner has an excellent situation. The starter is gone next year and the other ILBs leave a bit to be desired. He could be a 4 year starter. The other ILBs on the Pittsburgh team are:
|
NCAA: "BMOC"
Jay is redshirting this season. He gained 8 pounds in the summer. Upstate has a good Future, but a lot of work to get there. Fortunately, the other Fr is even lower on Current than he is, and the rest of the DTs are very subpar. The other DTs on the Clemson team are:
|
Damn, I'm a STUD!!!
|
Run Ewok Run.
We're going to need a big season from you. Keep that 19 at one of the OLB spots off the field. That 19 is a bit concerning. |
Alright, my Michigan bretheren.
Your General has arrived. We play now for the beer. We play for the women. We play for our 5,000 square foot "dorm room". All will tremble in the path of the One True Team. All will fall before out wrath. Now tell the cheerleaders to bring us some god damn beer. |
