As a Reds fan, one thing that has always stuck in my craw is Reggie Sanders in the '95 postseason. 4 for 29 with 19 strikeouts. I don't know if he's Public Enemy #1 for Cincinnati, but it's gotta be close.

Ozzie Guillen for the Twins? Seriously?

Sure, after he's modeled his team around what the Twins have won three straight division titles with the White Sox are ahead with a sizeable lead halfway through the season while the Twins have been playing poorly, but Ozzie Guillen the most hated by Twins fans? Twins - White Sox isn't even much of a rivalry with the exception of the games being important this year. As far as Guillen goes, he's not really a hateable figure for an opposing manager as far as I can tell. This kinda reminds me of what someone from Syracuse said about West Virginia fans during the Big East conference tournament, "We don't care about them. They make one conference final and think they're suddenly a basketball school."

Knoblauch is currently second on the poll, but I can't really hate him. Sure he demanded a trade, but I've got to say that worked out rather well. I'd say we got rid of him at the right time, and the trade is still helping the team. We had got Guzman, who played well for several years, Milton, who pitched well and as a result of trading we now have Punto and Silva, and Buchanon who was traded for Jason Bartlet. The Knoblauch deal is the trade that keeps on giving.

I noticed he was leading in the polls with over 50%, tho.

Sosa over Bartman is odd, but understandable. But how is Alex Gonzalez not on the Cubs list? Has anyone in history every been let off the hook so easily? If Tony Fernandez can be on the Indians' list, how is Gonzalez not there for the Cubs?

And while we're at it, no mention on the Braves poll of Ed Sprague and/or Jeff Reardon? I realize it wasn't exactly Carter/Williams, but the Braves would have won the World Series if it weren't for that at-bat.

Guillen's a total piece of crud, but Guillen over arch-nemesis 1986 anti-hero Dave Henderson? Hendu's one swing not only cost us our first visit to the Series, but destroyed a man's life (Donnie Moore).

They got the Giants right, too. The poll voters are nuts, though, for not putting Garvey second. Garvey was right up there with Lasorda as a villain. And where's Don Drysdale in the poll?

They got the Pads right even though for much of the Lasorda years, the Pads were irrelevant. Gibson or Brosius or even Tino hurts but the Pads were going up against juggernauts anyway. We hate anything from LA, esp. their arrogant fans.

Personally, I would go with Dan Miceli. He cost us a World Series visit last year. We lost six games in the post season, and I think he lost four of them. The bastard... :mad:

Our favorite Korean pitcher is one of the featured albatrosses for the Rangers (not leading, though, alas).

This is probably the most sickening moment of my sports watching life, along with Roger Craig's fumble in the NFC Title game against the Giants.

Dusty Baker could also be there for taking out Ortiz...and giving him the game ball when the game wasn't even over yet.

Not to mention that it ruined an absolutely incredible comeback. Pat Mahomes would be a legend if the Mets had pulled that one out. If only Bobby V had started him rather than bringing Leiter back on three days rest. .

And the real shit of it is that by wearing the Braves down so completely, we handed the Yankees another World Series.
