Congratulations M&Ms, you're number 1!

Not only do they melt in your mouth and not in your hands, the whole world agrees...well, in sales at least.

Cadbury is a client of mine, and although I'm sure they know this news already, they will not be happy when I share it with them.

Isn't that the one where a rabbit shits a chocolate egg?

Klinglerware 06-29-2009 04:53 PM

It does seem rather odd that they are quoting national rather than global sales numbers though...

Sun Tzu 06-29-2009 04:59 PM

Yeah, but what does Bill Abner think of M&M's?

EagleFan 06-29-2009 05:00 PM

M&M's..... (drooooooooollllllllll)

Give me a bowl of chocolate chip mint ice cream and throw some M&M's on top, that is the definition of heaven (if it existed).

JediKooter 06-29-2009 05:44 PM

If M&M's made Reeses Pieces, I'd push that number well over 2 billion a year.

I'm still bitter about the color changes.

But they're all milk chocolate on the inside. ;)

No love for the British equivalent, Smarties?

I also like Reese's Pieces better, but my mother-in-law is big into M&Ms...even collects those candy dispensers they come out with for every major holiday. She has a ton of them.

wrong Smarties..those Smarties are like crack to 6 year olds. :)

Autumn 06-29-2009 08:47 PM

So, let's do a poll. Who eats their U.S. Smarties one "pill" at a time and who stuffs a roll in their mouth at a time?

RendeR 06-29-2009 10:02 PM

Whole pod at a time.

MikeVic 06-29-2009 10:48 PM

Those aren't Smarties, those are Rockets.
