Parvus Caesar (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited) vs. Hornsmaniac (Rank 2, House Corax)

Weapons: Knife, Warhammer, Chains, Longsword

Purse: $25,000

Parvus Caesar meanders out to the stage at the paddocks. He looks to be in pretty good form. However, when Hornsmaniac comes out to the stage, you can tell he's ready for the fight. The odds don't shift, as the crowd still favors the presence of the knife in the ring. Today's guest host is Tony Danza. We only get A-list celebs at Thunderdome. The two fighters make their way towards their corners. Tony Danza takes the microphone. "Check me out in my new sitcom where I play a character named 'Tony'. The new series is called the 'The Brooklyn Brawler.' My character 'Tony' is an undereducated New Yorker who boxes. BEGIN!" Both men dart for the knife.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:10 PM

And Caesar slips coming out of his corner, so much so that he heads for another weapon. Caesar changes his direction and grabs the chains and circling ensues. Hornsmaniac is a little shy about the chains whirling about Caesar's head, but he pulls himself together and stabs low, then high. The misdirection doesnt' work on Caesar as he tries his one double feint. His attacks are just as futile.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:11 PM

Caesar tries an aggressive attack, but can't come close to Hornsmaniac with his strike. Horns counters, but still can't find a good angle to get around the chains. He stabs again quickly with the knife . . .

KWhit 02-08-2005 12:11 PM

B-B-B-Bonzo. DEAD?!?!

NO!!!!

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:12 PM

Caesar smacks Horns' hand with the chains. In an all-time Thunderdome moment, Caesar executes a phenomenal maneuver. The chains wrap around Horns' hand. With a quick tug on the chains, the knife comes loose and heads directly for Caesar's own body. With the grace of a cat, Caesar pulls the knife out of the air and poses for grandeur as his teeth glint with a broad smile. THE CROWD GOES WILD!

JAG 02-08-2005 12:13 PM

Curses! The death of Mr. T and Quikshot was supposed to finish the House of Four Fingers but T survived.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:13 PM

Suddenly finding himself without a weapon (and his opponent with two), Hornsmaniac dashes for the warhammer. Caesar swings the chains at his legs. The chains capture Horns' leg and in short moment, Caesar is on top of him with the knife. With a reverse grip on the knife, Caesar stabs down into Hornsmaniac's back. The knife plunges deep into Horns' back piercing a lung.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:13 PM

It's only a matter of time now. Hornmaniac tries to roll over to his back to get Caesar off of him, but Caesar is too quick and stays perched atop his fallen foe. Another quick stab pierces Horns' heart and Horns' body goes limp.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

Parvus Caesar has won the fight. He is promoted to Rank 3 and receives 2 prestige points. Torbjorg collects the sizable purse to add to his winnings and offers to teach Parvus another fighting style (Normal, Defensive, Aggressive, Misdirection). Parvus is uninjured and can fight at his own leisure. For the next 20 minutes, the stadium super screen replay TV shows the unbelievable maneuver that Parvus pulled out of his ass.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:15 PM

Godzillius Blitz II (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited) vs. Raven "The Imposter" Hawk (Rank 2, Malice Unchained)

Weapons: Spiked Club, Lead Pipe, Chainsaw, Axe

Purse: $25,000

Godzillius Blitz II looks to be in ridiculously good shape as he struts out on the stage. Raven Hawk looks to be in just as good of shape. Rumor has it that Raven "The Imposter" Hawk put up 190 lbs on the bench press during training this week. But who believes rumors? The fight goes off at 1:1 odds. The two men are led to their respective corners and Tony Danza takes the microphone. "The funny thing is my character's dad's name in the show is also 'Tony,' so I'm trying something new out. My character is actually 'Tony Jr.' It got confusing on stage because they'd keep saying 'Tony' and two people would answer. Huh-heh. BEGIN!" GB II goes for the spiked club - a favorite of the family - and Raven Hawk goes for the chainsaw.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:15 PM

Raven Hawk gets to the chainsaw and gives it a tug and the chainsaw begins purring. It appears as though the two men will begin circling, but GB II charges in and Raven Hawk goes defensive. Raven Hawk gets of the first shot as GB II charges, slices out a chunk of GB II's arm. GB II retaliates, but can't get a good attack in.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:15 PM

GB II swings aggressively again with the spiked club. The club catches a small piece of Raven Hawk's shoulder. Raven Hawk's return shot is easily turned away by the club. Both men exchange wiffs again. The focus in their eyes shows how good the two fighters are.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:16 PM

GB II begins to take another swing, but Raven Hawk uses his cunning to intercept the attack with one of his own. The chainsaw strikes off GB II's shoulder, opening a mid-sized cut. GB retaliates, but once again can't break Raven Hawk's guard.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:16 PM

GB II follows up quickly with another strike. This time GB II feints an overhead strike and lands the spiked club in Raven Hawk's midsection. The spikes are covered with blood as GB II rips them out. Raven Hawk maintains his concentration as he retaliates, but his swing falls short of its mark.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:16 PM

Again, Raven Hawk correctly anticipates his opponent's maneuver and is able to break in for a strike of his own. Unfortunately for Raven Hawk, his strike misses its mark. GB II follows in with a fancy maneuver from his stylization, bringing his club to overbear his opponent. Raven Hawk gets his block up in time, but the overbearing attack pushes the spikes of the club for his face. Raven Hawk finally passes the club by, coming out of it with only a scratch.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:17 PM

GB II takes the opportunity to swing again as Raven Hawk goes defensive. GB II deftly breaks Raven Hawk's guard and sticks the spiked club back in his belly. That shot brings Raven Hawk to one knee. GB II swings with a powerful overhead stroke . . .

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:17 PM

But Raven Hawk manages to block and regain his feet, but his eyes begin to glaze over from blood loss. Raven Hawk swings, but can't get enough behind the swing to put a good attack on GB II. GB II counters with another forceful swing, which is turned to the side, but still nicks his opponent.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:17 PM

GB II, knowing his opponent is weak, swings hard, again looking for the kill. But Raven Hawk won't give up. He side steps yet another blow leaving some strength to counter. But GB II easily avoids the soft swing.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:17 PM

But it was a feint! The reverse swing catches GB II by surprise. GB II barely avoids a nasty chainsaw wound and gets nicked by the teeth. Raven Hawk continues to struggle and parries another blow. Once again his return is week.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:18 PM

The blood is pooling at Raven Hawk's feet and he can feel his own mortality starting to set in. He needs to make a move now, or forever rest in peace. He lashes out with the chainsaw and opens a huge wound on his opponents leg! The blood starts flowing and the two men drop to their knees exhausted.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:19 PM

GB II passes out first, but Raven Hawk doesn't have the strength to get over to finish off his foe. The match is called a DRAW! Doctors rush out to the field and are able to save both fighters lives. Neither fighter gets promoted, but both fighters receive 1 point of prestige. Both fighters are in critical condition and will not be able to fight until next season.

The crowd starts throwing their fruit roll-ups at the official and the doctors as they release a volley of "Boos!" into the air. Perhaps the next match will be better . . .

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:20 PM

JAGus "mAd" MAXimus (Rank 4, Pain Unlimited) vs. Qwikshot (Rank 3, The House of Four Fingers)

Weapons: Longsword, Warhammer, Rapier, Spear

Two fan favorites have come to fight each other today. JAGus has it out for The House of Four Fingers after and incident earlier this season. It was discovered that Flynn, the owner of The House of Four Fingers bribed weapons officials to not fill the gas tank on the chainsaw. As the two walk the paddocks, neither looks to be in great form. The odds stay set at 7:5 in favor of JAGus.

The two fighters are led from the paddocks amidst the fan fare and the half-naked dancers out to their respective corners. The air is electric and both men pace nervously, kicking dirt here and there digging small holes with their feet. Finally, Tony Danza takes the microphone. "Are you ready to fight," Danza asks the fighters rhetorically. "BEGIN!" JAGus goes for the spear. Qwikshot goes for the Warhammer.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:20 PM

Both men get to their weapons and commence the circling procedure. It is Qwikshot who is first to act. He closes the gap cautiously and tries to evade the length of the spear. The attack is defensive, but lands square upon JAGus' shoulder! The crowd winces as the sound of cracking bones fills the stadium. JAGus falls backwards and drops the spear!

Can I upgrade my normal again? Will that do anything? How do these styles work, anyways?

SI

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:21 PM

JAGus uses his experience to regain his feet quickly, but he still has a problem. He needs a weapon to use. His eyes turn to the rapier and he sprints towards it as he grabs his shoulder in pain. Qwik pursues and takes a swing just as JAGus grabs for the rapier. A heavy shot lands to JAGus' body, but JAGus rolls with the blow to minimize the damage. He doesn't lose his concentration and he is able to pick up the rapier.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:22 PM

JAGus turns and swings with the rapier, but Qwik slides outside the arc of the swing. Qwik returns a shot, but it is parried away by JAGus and his quick rapier. JAGus strikes again, but can't seem to get into range with the rapier. His shot falls short once again. Qwik swings hard with the warhammer and misses completely, falling off balance.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:22 PM

JAGus stabs with the rapier but only catches a small piece of his opponent. At the same time though, he uses his stylized expertise to remain in an advantageous position. He swings again. Moving off to the right as Qwikshot passes by, JAGus slips the rapier into Qwikshot's kidney. The resulting wound bleeds profusely. Qwikshot staggers forwards and drops to the ground, grasping his side, watching the world go hazy.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

JAGus takes the opportunity to taunt Flynn by sitting on his fallen opponent as he takes his last breath. Soon after Qwikshot expires, JAGus cuts off one of Qwikshot's fingers and holds it up to Flynn shouting, "One finger down, three to go! Then my collection will be complete!"

JAGus "mAd" MAXimus has won the fight. He is promoted to Rank 5. Torbjorg collects another purse and offers to teach JAGus yet another fighting style. JAGus' shoulder is in bad shape and he will be out of competition for the rest of the season, unless he hires Terrell Owens' doctors to release him early.

Raven Hawk 02-08-2005 12:25 PM

That's it for today. We'll have another auction on Thursday, so make sure to sign up. I will not be able to update the tables until later today. There were some good fights out there, but once again, Pain Unlimited is a locomotive that is hard to stop.

JAG 02-08-2005 12:32 PM

Sweet victory and another blow to the House of Four Fingers! Soon Flynn will be all that remains of his House and then he will have to fight me in Thunderdome. I will cut him to guppy-sized pieces and toss his fingers to the mangiest dogs I can find. Then my revenge on him will be complete.

Little Jeebie Dee, circle Week 1 of next season on the calendar if you still live. I will put an end to your life while I wait for a worthy HOFF candidate to kill.

JAGus will train defensive style again.

JeeberD 02-08-2005 12:43 PM

Damn you Qwikshot! Now who am I supposed to destroy?

Little Jeebie Dee opens the floor to all challengers. Who wishes to have a peice of the mighty little one?

Your assumption is correct.

JAG 02-08-2005 04:15 PM

Well Jeebie, I promise you this. If you kill off the final member of the House of Four Fingers for me (assuming he can't buy another auctionee with his Mr. T prize money), I'll make your death a quick and honorable one as thanks.

Not quite the idea here. Actually GB II was the one that benefited more from the draw. I just couldn't let such a good battle end with two people bleeding to death in the arena.

Here is a rough idea of how styles work.

All fighters know how to use all styles, however, some are better than others (if they train it) in particular styles. Each style trumps one other style. At the beginning of each round, each fighter declares a style. If a fighter's chosen style trumps the style of his opponent, he gets a bonus for that round. The higher you have a style trained, the bigger the bonus.

Aggressive > Normal
Normal > Defensive
Defensive > Misdirection
Misdirecton > Aggressive

So if Fighter A chooses to fight Aggressive in the round and his opponent, Fighter B, chooses to fight Normal, Fighter A gets the "Aggressive" bonus for his attack and his defense for the round. If Fighter A happens to be trained in that bonus, the bonus is larger.

There is roughly a 25% chance in each round that your player will get a bonus. There is a 6.25% chance that each particular bonus will come up for you in each round. A good example was in JAGus' fight where the Normal Style pretty much won the match for him. He was getting pummeled pretty bad by Qwikshot, but then the Normal bonus (which he has trained up twice) kicked in and he was able to land a critical shot and end the fight.

I'll do a bigger write up of all the training effects for Season 2.

Just for clarification, I already have Fattoe having trained Normal, Defensive and Aggressive. Seeing as he has won three fights and has not gotten 5 prestige points (He's fought against Rank 1 fighters in all three), he's not eligible for any new training. Unless one of the prior trainings isn't correct.

Just out of curiosity, does that mean that style bonuses from training only kick in if one of the advantage situations show up? For example, JAGus trained normal twice and uses normal, but his opponent uses aggressive. There's no bonus for JAGus using normal in that case and in fact his opponent gets a small bonus which would've been higher if he had trained aggressive. Is that right?

I did forget to mention one other thing. It is also used to negate your opponents bonuses against you. So if JAGus was fighting Normal and his opponent was fighting Aggressive, it would effectively reduce or cancel opponent's bonus for having the right fighting style. However if his opponent was fighting using Misdirection, the skill would not be used whatsoever.

The Black Stallion (Rank 1, Pain Unlimited) vs. Pilot the Cripple (Rank 1, Malice Unchained)
Weapons: Machete, Longsword, Rapier, Rapier
Analysis: No luck for either of these rookies. Pilot is a crowbar fighter and the Black Stallion is a chainsaw fighter. Look for the match to be a long an bloody one. Plenty of edged weapons = plenty of blood. Oddsmakers are setting this one at 1:1.

No Chance of Surviving (Rank 1, Malice Unchained) vs. Windstorm 1 (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited)
Weapons: Axe, Lead Pipe, Spear, Lead Pipe
Analysis: Both fighters wish they could switch weapons draws with Black Stallion and Pilot, No Chance being versed in rapier and Windstorm being versed in longsword. Unfortunately, they are slaves and they don't get what they wish for. Windstorm is slightly favored due to his experience and his defensive technique. Odds start out at 4:3 in favor of Windstorm.

Hung Lo (Rank 1, House Corax) vs. Mucius "The Lefty" Scaevola (Rank 3, Bloodhaus)
Weapons: Spiked Club, Chains, Rapier, Machete
Analysis: Once again, we have nobody getting lucky on the weapons draw. Mucius is deadly with the spear and Hung Lo prefers the knife. Regardless, Mucius will come off as the heavy favorite. His armor will get in the way of a lot of Hung Lo's attacks. The odds start out at 3:1 in favor of Mucius.

Mr. T (Rank 2, The House of Four Fingers) vs. Little Jeebie Dee (Rank 4, Malice Unchained)
Weapons: Longsword, Machete, Chains, Warhammer
Analysis: Finally! We have a worthy match. Both fighters get "lucky" in this match. Little Jeebie Dee finds his longsword readily available and Mr. T finds his chains in the ring. Jeebie Dee will be favored to win the fight, but Mr. T could surprise Little Jeebie Dee. The first person to make a mistake, will find it to be a deadly mistake. Oddsmakers cautiously set this one at 2:1, but the longshot betters are putting down some money on Mr. T.

Erik Flamebeard (of the neither here nor there) (Rank 3, Malice Unchained) vs. Fattoe the Smashifier (Rank 4, Pain Unlimited)
Weapons: Spear, Knife, Spear, Crowbar
Analysis: This should be a good fight. Both fighters are pretty experienced, but neither has gotten their weapon in the draw. This one might take a while to sort out, but it will be a fun one to watch. Fattoe gets the oddsmakers' favor as the odds start off at 5:4 in favor of Fattoe.

This week's fights will be run late Wednesday evening, due to a rough work schedule this week. Our next auction will be on friday. Don't forget to start making challenges for week 10, we have an open card right now.

Fool I'm focused right now, don't you start no jibber jabber about next week. I'm fighting for my life and you want to know if I want to play later? Damn, I'd kick your ass now, but I'm saving that for the bitty baby Jeebie Deebie. Don't be so excited for your turn with me, I'll get to you once I take care of my business.

Since Mr T is on his way to a gruesome death and thus will not be able to accept the challenge he declined, Parvus Caesar will accept your challenge if you dare fight him.

Fighting a dead man will be quite an advantage.

You don't know what you're talking about fool. Not only am I winning this fight, I'm about to become the centerpiece of this whole show. I will single handedly pull the House of Four Fingers from the ashes and rebuild it. Through me this house will grow until we dominate everybody.

Until I win my 10th fight, then you will experience the birth of something truly terrifying, that is, if you don't face me before then.

You so wish! My crippled ass, is going to do a little dance on your corpse!

When this is all done, I would be glad to kill you King! Or maybe the next incarnation of Pilot will if he doesn't make it.

It would only make sense since he is your 4th and the Cripple is my 3rd. Someone might as well get a win.

Bring on the Cripple!!!

Raven Hawk 02-17-2005 11:26 PM

The Black Stallion (Rank 1, Pain Unlimited) vs. Pilot the Cripple (Rank 1, Malice Unchained)

Weapons: Machete, Longsword, Rapier, Rapier

The Black Stallion is the first to enter the paddocks and he looks to be in decent shape, but nothing special. The excited onlookers watch for Pilot the Cripple to take the stage, knowing that he can sway the odds if he looks to be in good shape. When Pilot makes it out to the stage, a collective sigh shows the crowds disappointment. Pilot is in worse shape than Black Stallion. The odds go off at 1:1, no different than the morning line. The two men make their ways to their respective corners and the host takes the podium. "BEGIN!" The Black Stallion dashes for the longsword and Pilot goes for one of the rapiers.

The two men make it to their respective weapons uninhibited, grab the weapons and begin circling each other. The circling action has become almost ritual in Thunderdome fights, unless there is one highly contested weapon. Black Stallion attacks first. And throws a crossing shot at Pilot. Pilot was strangely unprepared for the shot and takes a hard shot to his left arm. It's a bleeder! Pilot backs off an collects himself.

Black Stallion moves in for another shot and swings low at Pilot's legs. Still slightly stunned from the previous shot, Pilot can't get the rapier into blocking position in time. However, the blow was slightly off its mark and only creates a small cut on Pilot's leg. Pilot thrusts back, but Black Stallion is too quick and makes the block.

Black Stallion decides that he wants to end the fight quickly and moves in with an aggressive maneuver, swinging the longsword hard overhead. The longsword drops hard, Pilot puts his rapier up for the block, but the aggressive attack pushes straight through the block down towards Pilot's head. The longsword penetrates into Pilot's skull and pops back out as Pilot continues to push up with his rapier.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

In a moment Pilot the Cripple falls over dead, still cling to his rapier with white knuckles. The Black Stallion has won the fight. He is promoted to Rank 2 and receives 1 prestige point. Torbjorg struts out to collect the purse showing off quite a bit of bling, having the most successful house this season. The Black Stallion is uninjured and can fight again at his own discretion. Torbjorg offers to teach the Black Stallion a new fighting style.

Raven Hawk 02-17-2005 11:53 PM

No Chance of Surviving (Rank 1, Malice Unchained) vs. Windstorm 1 (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited)

Weapons: Axe, Lead Pipe, Spear, Lead Pipe

No Chance walks out to the paddocks looking pretty buff. He is in good shape. Windstorm 1, however, is looking magnificent. It is obvious the Torbjorg didn't let Windstorm look past this match for future fights. As the windows close, the fight goes off at 3:1 in favor of Windstorm 1. The two men enter the arena and head to their corners. The host takes the podium and makes the familiar call, "BEGIN!" Both men opt for a fan favorite, the lead pipe. Luckily, they each decided to go for different lead pipes.

Both men pick up their weapons eagerly and cautiously begin the circling ritual. No Chance tries to give himself a chance by acting first. He swing low for the legs and amazingly catches Windstorm off guard in his specialize defensive stance. The lead pipe leaves a large welt on on Windstorms leg. Windstorm is not happy.

The object of Windstorm's anger is standing directly in front of him. Windstorm makes a retaliatory strike at No Chance. No Chance attempts to move out of the way, but takes a hard shot to the chest. The air crackles with the sound of shattering ribs as the lead pipe impacts No Chance's midsection. Amazingly, No Chance keeps his wits about him. He returns a shot at Windstorm's head . . .

At the last moment, Windstorm gets his own lead pipe up to block. The resulting collision of lead on lead rings out loudly and causes a few fans to cover their ears. Windstorm attacks again and slams the lead pipe into No Chance's left arm. No Chance just flexes and shrugs off the pain.

Slightly unnerved by No Chance's flexing, Windstorm falls back into his comfortable defensive stance. No Chance swings for the same leg that he hit earlier, which has now turned a strange shade of blackish-blue. Windstorm blocks low, but No Chance changes his motion to swing high. The lead pipe hits Windstorm squarely in the collarbone and shatters it. The pain is so intense that Windstorm drops his weapon.

As Windstorm moves to clutch his shoulder, No Chance brings his vengeance swiftly. It all appears to be moving in slow motion as No Chance returns the lead pipe over his head, then swings again. The lead pipe hits Windstorm squarely in the face, sending bone fragments flying through his brain to the back of his skull. Windstorm falls over dead.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

No Chance of Surviving pays off big for the longshot betters as he wins the match. He is promoted to Rank 2 and receives 2 prestige points. No Chance, however is injured for two weeks, which would be the rest of the season. No Chance does have the choice to fight injured in week 10 if he would like. The Rooster collects the purse and teaches No Chance how to better anticipate his opponents attacks.

That'll be all for now. I'm getting a little tired. The auction will move back to sometime next week and week 9 will be finished this weekend.

Hung Lo (Rank 1, House Corax) vs. Mucius "The Lefty" Scaevola (Rank 3, Bloodhaus)

Weapons: Spiked Club, Chains, Rapier, Machete

Hung Lo comes out to the paddocks stage looking very svelt today. The crowd approves of his ability to fight a good fight. Mucius on the other hand looks as though he hit the free buffet a little too hard this morning. The odds settle in to 2:1, still in favor of Mucius prior to the fight. Today's guest host is Billy Crystal. As he takes the podium, he channels some Howard Cosell as the players make their way to the arena. "Welcome everybody to ThunderDOME! We have a lovely show for you today the scrappy Hung Lo is taking on the Marvelous Mucius Lefty Scaevola. This southpaw packs quite a punch! Let's see what these modern gladiators have got. BEGIN!" Hung Lo heads for the machete and Mucius heads for the Spiked Club.

Both men reach their weapons safely and head towards the center of the ring. Mucius looks to be overconfident in his armor and forgoes the circling ritual and heads aggressively for Hung Lo. He swings low and to the left, but then changes his swing in a misdirection attack and swings at Hung Lo's weapon arm. The club strikes Hung Lo hard in the arm and Hung Lo drops his machete. This is getting ugly quick.

Amazingly, Hung Lo is able to pick up his machete with his off hand. He gets it up just in time to block a heavy shot that would have surely sent spikes through his brain. Hung Lo attemps to counter with his off hand. He swing hard and Mucius paries the machete back toward's Hung Lo's own head. Another quick recovery by Hung Lo allows him to keep his head on straight.

Hung Lo attacks again. It looks as though Mucius is toying with Hung Lo a little. That is plain foolish on Mucius' behalf and Hung Lo makes him pay for it. A strong left handed swing from Hung Lo lands on Mucius' leg and opens a huge gash. Mucius drops to one knee.

Realizing his errors, Mucius stands up and attacks Hung Lo furiously. Hung Lo is able to partially get out of the way of the roundhouse swing of Mucius and his spiked club. One spike still scrapes hard across Mucius chest, but doesn't impact him fully. Hung Lo returns a hard back hand to Mucius, but the impact is aborbed by Mucius' finely crafted armor.

Mucius moves in for the kill and swings hard again at Hung Lo's chest. Hung Lo is full of surprises yet and is able to dodge what looked like a deathblow. Hung Lo retaliates with an overhead strike again, but he is parried by the Mucius and can't land the blow.

Both men are getting woozy from their wounds and become more cautious with their strikes. Each man adopts a defensive posture. Mucius strikes out with the blood covered club one final time. The club impacts Hung Lo in the chest and one spike drives straight into Hung Lo's chest.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

Mucius rips out a couple of Hung Lo's ribs as he yanks the nasty club from Hung Lo's chest. Mucius collapses to the ground, severely bleeding from a leg wound. Luckily for him, the medics were able to get to him in time. Mucius, the prize of Demetrius' stable, wins the fight. He is promoted to Rank 4 and receives 1 prestige point. Demetrius collects the purse and purchases a chest plate for his favorite fighter. Mucius is severely injured and will not be able to fight again this season.

Raven Hawk 02-21-2005 01:24 AM

Mr. T (Rank 2, The House of Four Fingers) vs. Little Jeebie Dee (Rank 4, Malice Unchained)

Weapons: Longsword, Machete, Chains, Warhammer

Both men enter the paddocks in pitiful form. The crowd gathered around the stage lets out boos of displeasure. The odds remain the same as the fighters make their way to the arena, 2:1 in favor of the monster, Little Jeebie Dee. Billy Crystal takes the podium. "Wow! Did you see that last fight. With the bam! and the blood! Let's see another good fight! BEGIN!" Little Jeebie Dee heads for his longsword and Mr. T heads for his chains, fool.

The two men get to their weapons without problem and begin the ritual of circling. Mr. T thinks that he's got a drop on his opponent and moves in, but it is Jeebie who is the first to strike, correctly anticipating Mr. T's movements. However, even with all the battle smarts he's got, Jeebie isn't able to land a blow. He is, however, successful in interupting Mr. T's attack.

Once again Mr. T comes in strong and Jeebie sneaks his attack in again. He interrupts Mr. T's attack and lands a light blow across Mr. T's chest. This does not hinder Mr. T from swinging his chains, though and Mr. T retaliates. But Mr. T is looks like he's afraid that Jeebie will interupt his attack again, he loses his concentration and his chains go flying across the arena. Little Jeebie Dee grins broadly.

Before Mr. T can move to get a new weapon, Jeebie is on him like lightning. Jeebie opens Mr. T's belly like a can of sardines. Blood and entrails begin to spill out and Mr. T attempts to catch them as they fall out of his stomach. Jeebie D isn't inclined to let him do that. He slashes at Mr. T to finish the match off, but Mr. T falls to the ground, avoiding the blow and collecting his bowels.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

Little Jeebie reverses his grip on the sword and plunges it down into Mr. T's chest. Mr. T winces for a moment, then he is dead. Little Jeebie Dee has won the fight. He is promoted to rank 5 and receives 2 prestige points. The Rooster collects the purse and offers to train Little Jeebie Dee how to further anticipate the attacks of his opponents (how much more could there be to learn?) Jeebie is uninjured and can fight again at his own leisure.

Raven Hawk 02-21-2005 02:04 AM

Erik Flamebeard (of the neither here nor there) (Rank 3, Malice Unchained) vs. Fattoe the Smashifier (Rank 4, Pain Unlimited)

Weapons: Spear, Knife, Spear, Crowbar

What more could you ask for in a fight. Both men enter the paddocks in top form. This will be a legendary match up as the two fighters will face off in the main event. The crowd should get their money's worth today. As the men head to the arena floor, the odds end even at 1:1. The crowd cheers loudly as Billy Crystal takes the podium for the last time this evening. "Can we possibly have a better fight to end this night on than the one between these two great fighters!" The crowd erupts. "Erik Flamebeard. I here that he's from neither here nor there!" The crowd erupts. "And Fattoe THE SMASHIFIER!" The crowd erupts again amidst the fireworks, fanfare and scantily clad dancing girls. The two men make their way to the corners dodging random pyrotechnics on their way. When they get their Billy gives the signal "BEGIN!" Both men head for different spears.

The two men make it to their spears uneventfully. The two then begin the circling ritual and play it out to the crowds enjoyment. Soon enough, however, it is Erik who is the first to move in. He thrusts his spear towards Fattoe's midsection and opens a small wound in his stomach. The wound stings a bit, but Fattoe is able to retaliate. Fattoe's spear thrust hits Erik square in the leg. Erik winces, but stays in the fight.

Erik returns with a high thrust and Fattoe slaps it out of the way with the shaft of his spear. Fattoe thrusts low again at the same leg he hit before, but he wiffs. Fattoe moves in for another strike, but Erik anticipates it correctly and thrusts low to stop Fattoe's charge. Fattoe is able to evade the spear tip and continues his charge. Fattoe misses his mark and only scratches Erik with his attack.

Erik is once again the quicker fighter, but he can't get past Fattoe's guard. Fattoe once again manages only to scratch his skilled opponent with his retaliatory strike. Erik starts to feel a little woozy from the leg wound that he took and he tries to press forward to gain a better advantage. He once again out maneuvers his opponent and strikes at his midsection. And again he opens a small wound in Fattoe's stomach. Fattoe grits his teeth and returns with a thrust of his own. The thrust lands squarely in Erik's chest. The tip breaks through Erik's rib cage and punctures a lung. Erik begins spitting up blood as Fattoe stands back and watches.

TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!

Erik Flamebeard clutches his chest, falls to his knees, then topples over to the ground. The crowd cheers on Fattoe as he holds his spear aloft, victoriously. Fattoe has won the fight and is promoted to Rank 5. He receives 3 prestige points. Torbjorg collects yet another purse in a very successful season. He offers to train Fattoe further in fight stylization. Fattoe is injured and will be out for the rest of the season.
