With effective communication, it would seem you can get a team do develop and play pretty much any way you want. I only have one player on my own team, and they've evolved pretty well exactly how I've hoped they would - both in terms of player development and each player's advanced tactics.

Obviously I don't KNOW this - they could all be on relaxed soaking up PT instead of the Intense that I call for...but we're doing remarkably well (5-1)against teams that are roughly equivalent in terms of player levels.

Had no clue you were a FOFC'er. After Mary's early success, our starting interior line (LG, C, RG) now has an average strength over 50. :cool:

My FB hit level 8 today. With 5 skill points to spend plus 4 more points with the equipment upgrades, I'm gonna dominate!

Our team forum is pretty active, so I'm pretty sure it isn't just one guy and me on our team. There are scouting reports, strategies, etc. that guys come up with so it's pretty organized.

The other team I'm on...that one isn't and it looks like we will continue to lose.

On your earlier comment, i know you don't know if everyone is doing it but it sure seems like we have an active team that all seems to be focused on winning as a team as well as improving as players. Special teams again, 20-17 loss to Skydog and Low Country.....We fumbled twice, but had 2 picks so that worked out about even. Our problem is we can not stop the frickin running game.....My middle LB had 3 tackles cause we can't absorb blocks up front and he can't shed them.....

Luckily we will stave off relegation and should be better next year.

Agree, his ratings look good but... he is playing like crap. Not sure if the problem is the team strategies or that he is not following my advice on setting his own tactics. He says he is but...

To tell you the true, i'm thinking on bringing my own QB to this team. He is 4-0 in a team that is #1 in another league. QB is the field general and probably it's better if can control him.

I said i didn't want to have my own players in my own team, to avoid conficts about playing time or about starting my own players, but... maybe it's a good time to do it for the QB.

The thing is that he seems loyal, wants a long contract and he owns also our #2 CB. Also if i put my own owned QB as starter, nobody will want to backup him, knowing my guy will be always the starter.

Not a bad start for my new guy...6 tackles and a forced fumble.

I don't know if this has been done before, but I was bored and did a small experiment. I made several guards (since I only had 100 flex points) and compared their starting stats. Basically I found out that all players start with the same total stats, divided among the three areas (no real surprise there.) There is a small variation of 2-3 points per player of difference, but all players start with good scores in the attributes that are important for their position (for guards this was Strength, Confidence, and Blocking.)

My goal was to find out if min-maxing by repeatedly making a guy and retiring him until the desired stats were seen would pay off. In the end, if you were only looking for one stat, say strength, to be its maximum, you could get a 2-3 point advantage in this by remaking your guy three or four times. Once you are looking at two key stats, you could get a 1-2 point advantage from several remakes. Once you look at all three stats, at best I saw a 1 point difference in quite a few remakes.

In the end I don't think this strategy helps very much, unless you are trying to go with a build that's extremely heavy on one stat, say the OL "Mary" build which is mostly strength. I have yet to test how boosting the player adds to this, as it seems to me that you get some points automatically added to your base stats for each level, before you add your skill points.

Lucky you, my start was awful, going to raise the agility a little bit.

The problem i see right now is more related to the tactical limitations than to your guy. Right now we can only choose if we want to run inside or outside.

The #1 RB is a power guy, so i selected to run inside more, your RB is an elusive one that will do better running to the outside, so he was hitting a wall everytime when running to the inside. I hope things will change for next season when the new tactical options are implemented.

Looks like at least the Silverback's game didn't sim properly and now the clock is counting into negative time from our sim time without displaying the negative sign.

All games delayed about an hour because trades didn't get done overnight. (per the forum)

Yeah, I can feel the active separation between the wheat and chaff at that position as we speak. Cash is king in this game.

I won't be offended if my guy needs to be cut loose to help the team in the future... I don't see myself being willing to make the investment necessary to keep up at the highest level in this game. I got a few referrals to level up this season, but I don't think I'm likely to spend cash and therefore am eventually going to lag behind.

I only got 7 carries, but about 60 rushing yards, 1TD and 2 carries for over 20 yards. I'll take it. :D

There, now THAT's the kind of game I was hoping to have at some point.

This game is stomping on my nutz.

I had to spend a week trying to get on a team, but finally some guy offered me a back up spot (which i was more than happy to take) on a super active team with a full and active forum. One of the first messages I read said there will never be any releases, if you're on the team you're on the team to play....roughly three hours later I was released .

I pimped myself out for a couple days on the forum and finally find an owner who'll take me on. He has another LVL 4 FS (which is what I am), but I'm fine with playing backup or splitting carries, and I tell the owner just that, and that I'm happy to play in whatever capacity he needs me. He replies with "Great, you're JUST the kind of owner I need, willing to play whatever it takes." I make a post in the team forum, which is entirely empty, wishing some luck to the fellas on the team.

Finally today, our game rolls around after all the delays, and I'm waiting to see if I can get in a couple plays and make some impact, hopefully at least getting my name in the rotation. The result:

Well, I've resisted posting any highlights of middle linebacker Bulletproof Vest, but I put together a pretty good game and hit level 8 at the same time (of course we got smoked unfortunately). 9 tackles, 2 for loss, and 1 pass defended:

I finally had a "breakthrough" game for DE Arthur Fonzarelli in our glorious win over the Springfield Atoms. The line: 4 tackles, 2 hurries, 1 sack (4 yds) and 2 passes blocked.

And to celebrate I decided to buy my last two boosts of the season. The Gators will now be able to unleash a Level 10 Fonzie on some sorry playoff opponent's ass!

Wow some guys are taking this so seriously. In one of the teams i'm in, the owner is going to pay real $ by paypal to his players for reaching the playoffs, winning the champ, being player of the year etc. I guess next will be real $ salaries. The Tottenham Trolls win their first round playoff game 20-7!!!

This marks the 6th time in the 9 games since I took over the team that we've held an opponent to 10 pts or less. (7-2 record)

Best part is since the #8 beat the #1 team, we get a home game. That's anywhere from 600 - 850k in additional revenues depending on how many tickets we can sell.

I may be able to buy me one of them there high level DTs I've been needing.

Well Chilton was not one of the FOFC teams in the playoffs, but we did win our last two and today knocked Omaha out of the USA AA Western conference playoffs scoring a 20-14 upset on the road. Congrats to the Trolls, Gators and Silverbacks on making the playoffs, hopefully I haven't missed ony of the FOFC teams.

It will be a tough game for the Gators today. Our offense and defense have picked up over the past 2 games, so hopefully we can make a game of it. It will be tough going in as a #8 against #1.

I'm sure people will be split 50/50 on whether or not this is good or bad.
