Sorry that I haven't been able to run the fights. I have a new manager. Previous to my new manager coming aboard, I was reporting to the VP in the interim. Needless to say, my new manager walks by my desk more often than the VP did . . . This will become more sporadic, but I still haven't given it up.

Little Jeebie Dee is too strong to die! He will continue to fight as long as his heart beats and there is air in his lungs!!!

Dorrain (Rank 1, Bloodhaus) vs. Schizophrenic (Rank 1, House Corax)
Weapons: Axe, Axe, Crowbar, Claymore Dorrain walks out onto the paddocks feeling pretty cocky he looks to be in good shape. Schizophrenic, however, looks to be in awesome shape. He struts, not walks, struts out onto the stage and does a little dance to please the crowd. The oddsmakers shift the fight to favor Schizo slightly. 5-4 in the books. Today's guest host comes out to make a the call: It's Drew Carey, with long hair. What's that all about? "Did I ever tell you about the time . . . Ahh forget it! BEGIN!" Both men head for the crowbar! |
Dorrain is the first to get their, he picks up the crowbar and tries to chase down the Schizo, who changed direction as soon as he realized he wasn't going to get to the crowbar before Dorrain. Schizo is moving toward an axe with Dorrain in tow. Dorrain stumbles momentarily and allows Schizo the time he needs to pick up the axe. The two men head begin circling . . .
|
Both men assume defensive positions and it is Schizo who is the first to strike. A poor attempt at a sideways cut is an easy dodge for Dorrain. Dorrain counters with a clumsy strike with the crowbar and grazes Schizo's arm. Schizo maintains his defensive position and Dorrain adeptly adjusts his style to accommodate. He swings hard with the hooked end of the crowbar . . .
|
And this time grazes Schizo's thigh with the tip. Schizo tries to get in another sideways swipe. But the agile Dorrain easily evades. However, Schizo gets the advantage attempts striking again. That attempt is a god-awful attempt as he misses Dorrain by a mile. Dorrain counters, but Schizo blocks.
|
Dorrain's crowbar gets hooked on Schizo's axe during the block and Schizo gets a big smile on his face. Schizo gives a tug on his axe pulling Dorrain and the crowbar towards himself, he then twist the axe handle disarming Dorrain and thrusts forward with the blade landing a good size wound on Dorrain's chest. Dorrain runs for the other axe.
|
Schizo takes a heavy swing with the axe and it lands right next to Dorrains hand as Dorrain picks up the axe. That was close! Schizo maintains using his advantage and attacks again. But luck is on Dorrain's side as he's able to evade the heavy swing again. The momentum begins to shift and both men can feel it. The two both take big cuts at their opponent.
|
Shizo's blow lands quickly and with such great force that it cleaves his opponent from shoulder to navel. Dorrain, with the surprised look on his face falls backwards. His body pulls the axe out of Schizo's hand as he hits the ground. Schizo throws both fists up in the air and riles the crowd up:
"TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!" Schizo trots out of the arena to the delightful cry of the crowd. Raven Hawk picks up the $12,000 purse and offers to teach Schizo a new weapon skill. Schizo, uninjured, may fight at his own disgression. |
Wow. Welcome back, Kotter. :)
|
Sometimes I just need a good prodding. I'll get the last two matches of this fight day done sometime this weekend.

Hey! I brought something back to life! Thank god for these paddles I bought on Amazon!

The Real Deal (Rank 1, Malice Unchained) vs. Mucius "The Lefty" Scaevola (Rank 2, Bloodhaus)
Weapons: Lead Pipe, Warhammer, Chainsaw, Crowbar As The Real Deal steps up onto the stage at the paddocks, the crowd applauds. He has apparently been working out for the fight. Mucius "The Lefty" Scaevola, however looks to be in dismal shape. Mucius is hoping that The Real Deal swings continuously at the small piece of shoulder armor that Mucius is wearing. Mucius hopes to grab the lead pipe first and give a beat down to Mucius. Drew Carey steps up to the podium and introduces the two contestants as "Oswald and Lewis," before giving the familiar battle cry, "BEGIN!" Both men head directly for the Lead Pipe. |
The two men both get to the lead pipe at the same time and they immediately start wrestling with the weapon to see who can gain control! Mucius' small bit of experience wins out as he rips the lead pipe from Real Deal's hands and proceeds to swing at him with it. Mucius swings hard at the defensless Real Deal . . .
|
The hapless Real Deal tries to block with his head and is successful! The lead pipe lands squarely between Real Deal's eyes. The force of the blow splits his skull open and splatters brain matter over the first row of the crowd, most of which did remember to put on their souvenir ponchos. Now they have more souvenir's in the form of brain matter and skull fragments!
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! Mucius pulls the lead pipe from its cranial chasm and hands it to a young fan in the crowd. Mucius has obliterated The Real Deal and is promoted to Rank 3. Demetrius Cavish slides over to the payment window and collects the purse. He quickly purchases an arm guard for his new favorite fighter. Mucius is uninjured and can fight again at his own discression. That is about as quick as these matches can go. |
Love Hurts (Rank 2, Bloodhaus) vs. Little Jeebie Dee (Rank 3, Malice Unchained)
Weapons: Lead Pipe, Crowbar, Spiked Club, Rapier Love Hurts probably realized that he bit off a little more than he could chew when he challenged Little Jeebie Dee to a deathmatch. To make up for the lack of judgement, Love Hurts trained extra hard for the match and has come to the paddocks in phenomenal shape. Jeebie, the ever diligent, trained hard as well. Although he does not look to be in as good of shape as Love Hurts, he is still in remarkable shape. The oddsmakers still like Little Jeebie in this one and they the odds 7-4 in favor of Jeebie. Drew Carey takes to the podium and tells a "Mimi" joke before he let's out the call: "BEGIN!" Lover Hurts wants the crowbar and Jeebie wants the rapier. |
Both men reach their weapons without any problem and head to the center of the ring. They begin circling for what seems like minutes, then Love Hurts takes a tentative swing at Jeebie from a defensive position. The strike catches only air as it stops a foot short of Jeebie's chest. Love Hurts recovers as Jeebie counters . . .
|
Jeebie thrusts aggressively with his rapier, but over commits himself to the strike. Finding himself in excellent position, Love Hurts strikes quickly. But he can't land a shot as Jeebie lithely recovers and turns the crowbar away with his rapier.
|
Love Hurts is surprised that he did not land the blow, that he doesn't pay attention to Jeebie's follow up strike. Jeebie swipes horizontally across Love Hurts' belly and steps back into a defensive stance. The sharp rapier landed, but it takes a second or two for the wound to react and start bleeding. Love Hurts counters with a defensive blow to keep Jeebie at bay . . .
|
Jeebie parries the blow at Love's hand, opening a small wound on the knuckle, but just enough to get Love to drop his weapon. Jeebie quickly moves in to finish off his foe. He slashes downward across Love's chest. The shouder armor picks up some of the impact, but the blade slides off of it and continues to open a wound in Love's chest.
|
Love takes off toward the Lead Pipe and Jeebie walks after him as though he were playing the part of a serial killer in a bad slasher film. Love picks up the lead pipe and charges Jeebie. Love swings wildly and Jeebie parries the lead pipe away from his head. As he holds the lead pipe in check, Jeebie slides the rapier forward and stabs at Love's head. The rapier pierces through Love's nose and up into his brain.
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! Love drops the Lead Pipe and clutches the wound on his face, moreso, his involuntary reaction allows him to do that. Hunched over on his knees, Love is not quite dead yet, but he wouldn't want to live on with the wound that he suffered. Jeebie humanely drops the rapier blade hard upon the back of Love's neck, severing head from body. Little Jeebie D has won the match and is promoted to Rank 4. The Rooster, collects the large purse and trains Little Jeebie some more tactics on how to anticipate his opponents attacks. Jeebie is uninjured and can fight again at his own discression. After the match, The Rooster pats Little Jeebie on the back and says, "The boss would like to see you for some private time," as he pointed up to the box where his co-owner Ms. Jameson was sitting. |
I don't have time to update the tables right now, but I will do so on Monday. At least, we can now move on to week 8, which has not yet been filled (unless I missed some challenge acceptances). I'll go ahead and hold an auction before week 8 begins as well, since we haven't had one in awhile.
|
Incidentally Little Jeebie D has reached a Rank 4 with a prestige rating of 5, which means that he can gain additional training in one of the following areas:
Strength (Damage) Speed (Defense) Wits (Initiative) Weapon Profieciency Style Proficiency (Normal, Defensive, Aggressive, Misdirection) |
|
Hall of Fallen Warriors
|
Page 1 has been updated. I'm waiting to fill the Week 8 card, then I'll start running the fights. There will be an auction on Wednesday this week, so if you want to get in, do so by then!
|
Little Jeebie D would like to be trained in Wits (Initiative). I smart warrior always wins...
Little Jeebie wants a piece of Qwikshot. Is Qwikshot man enough to accept the challenge? |
Quote:
Quikshot is already slated to die by JAGus' hands (or chainsaw). You can fight with his remains afterwards, if you can find them. |
Not sure if I'm reading this wrong, but are Mr. T and King III fighting, have already and I missed it, or what's up? Sorry, was gone for a week and couldn't figure out if I'm missing this somewhere.
|
Quote:
Whoops, I missed that one. You guys are set to fight in week 8. |

Hmm, since Qwikshot has managed to duck me again (why does everyone hate him, anyways?) I'm up for the challenge, Parvus. I figure we can get the last fight for Week 8. I think this will work out well for both of us. You can die a miserable death, alone and missed by none. I'm unlikely to sustain an injury here, plus I can further position myself for one of the more elite fighters in Week 9 or 10.

Parvus Caesar vs. Hornsmaniac has been booked to fill out the Week 8 card.
hoopsguy: Horns may want to decide which weapon he wants to be trained in after his last victory. It may come in handy before the next match. The Black Stallion has been added to the Auction Block. |
Mighty Mucius "The Lefty" Scaevola will take on any and all comers -- even two at a time, if that's possible :)
|
Quote:
Fine then. Jeebie challenges the winner of that fight. In the meantime, who wishes to take on the mighty Little one? |
Hmm, it would be tempting to forego training for this fight if I could bank the training for after this one. I'm pretty confident (cocky, even) about my chances to win this skirmish without any additional advantages.
However, if I can't bank it then I'll take chains. I might actually need a secondary weapon for someone like Little Jeeber Dee down the line ... |
Last call for entries into the auction for today. If you want to sign up or re-sign up, now's the time to do it.
|
Quote:
If you'd like to bank it, that is entirely your perogative, however, I don't really see how it would help you. Regardless, you have one week of weapons training coming to you. |

I take you all on!!! |

Louis LeBeau (Rank 1, House Corax) vs. Bonzo the Death Monkey (Rank 1, Bloodhaus)
Weapons: Warhammer, Knife, Lead Pipe, Crowbar Analysis: Neither of these fighters got a good match on their weaponry. Louis favors the longsword and Bonzo has a fetish for chains. That said, this will end up being a fair fight. Look for this one to go the distance with plenty of blood being spilt. The oddsmakers set it off at 1:1. Mr. T (Rank 1, House of Four Fingers) vs. King III (Rank 1, Malice Unchained) Weapons: Claymore, Machete, Machete, Longsword Analysis: Another case of neutral luck as the two will have to match their wiles, instead of relying on those weapons that they so cherish. Mr. T favors the mohawk, I mean the chains and King III is a warhammer kind of guy. The odds fall slightly in King III's favor as he is a healthier fellow. 5:3 in favor of King III. Parvus Caesar (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited) vs. Hornsmaniac (Rank 2, House Corax) Weapons: Knife, Warhammer, Chains, Longsword Analysis: Et tu Hornsmaniac? It looks like Parvus gets a lucky weapons draw in this match. The knife showed up on the weapons listing for the fight. Parvus will use his weapon and style proficiency to try to get the better of Horns. Hornsmaniac on the other hand will try his best to keep the Knife out of Parvus' hand. Horns may want to reconsider the generous offer of training that his slave master gave him. Too late now . . . The oddsmakers post this one at 4:3 in favor of Parvus. Godzillius Blitz II (Rank 2, Pain Unlimited) vs. Raven "The Imposter" Hawk (Rank 2, Malice Unchained) Weapons: Spiked Club, Lead Pipe, Chainsaw, Axe Analysis: For the third time this week, the weapons draw has been neutral. For two neophyte fighters like GBII and Raven Hawk, however, it is a welcome chance to show of their other skills. Godzillius will flash some of his Normal fighting style technique and Raven Hawk will attempt to out wit his opponent. This one goes to the paddocks dead even at 1:1. JAGus "mAd" MAXimus (Rank 4, Pain Unlimited) vs. Qwikshot (Rank 3, The House of Four Fingers) Weapons: Longsword, Warhammer, Rapier, Spear Analysis: Yet again we are faced with a match where the weapons draw is inconsequential. Jagus finally gets a match without his chainsaw and Qwikshot will be missing his machete. The vengeance factor goes to Jagus as he has sworn to single handedly eradicate The House of Four Fingers of its fighters. Jagus will attempt to maneuver with his multiple styles and Qwikshot will rely on his defensive abilities to keep him out of Jag's way. The match falls slightly toward Jagus untile we get to the paddocks. 7:5 in favor of JAGus. |

When is Fattoe off of IR?
|
Daddy Longstroke and his knife would like to play.
|
Quote:
Fattoe is officially off of the IR after week 9, but could fight in week 9 if he doesn't mind wearing a couple of bandages into the arena. I'm sure that Thunderdome fans would love to see Fattoe fight in the season finale in week 10. |
Erik announces that he thinks he is healthy next week.
Erik wishes to smash once more. Erik demands someone challenge him. |
Quote:
Fattoe want to do cripple dance with Eric. |

Erik accepts. Erik will alert Valhalla you are coming. |

Do we want to schedule Erik vs. Fattoe for Week 9 or for Week 10? |
Fattoe leave that up to challenger. He open mouth.
|
It's time for THUNNNNNNNN DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!
Weaponsmiths put their final touches on the weapons that will be used in the arena. Mostly they are cleaning blood and skull fragments off of the weapons, but they take to make sure that blades are nice and sharp and that chainsaw motors run properly. Fans begin to filter into the stadium as the first two fighters: Louis LeBeau and Bonzo the Death Monkey make their way to the paddocks. |
Louis LeBeau (Rank 1, House Corax) vs. Bonzo the Death Monkey (Rank 1, Bloodhaus)
Weapons: Warhammer, Knife, Lead Pipe, Crowbar Purse: $12,000 The crowds continue to funnel into the Thunderdome Arena. Some don't even know that this fight is going on. It's the undercard, they won't miss anything, will they? As Louis LeBeau comes out onto the stage in the paddocks, he looks to be in prime condition. Bonzo the Death Monkey, on the other hand, looks like he just woke up 10 minutes ago after passing out from an late night bender. The paramutual pool adjusts itself to 2:1 in favor of Louis prior to the match. The two men enter the stadium and are led to their corners. The host takes the microphone and bellows the battle cry, "BEGIN!" Louis confidently saunters over to the knife and Bonzo goes for the lead pipe. |
The two men grab their weapons and meet in the center of the ring. They circle each other momentarily, until they both charge with their short range weapons. Bonzo stumbles as he charges . . .
|
But recovers in time to avoid the quick stab of Louis' blade. Bonzo wipes his brow and exhales a deep breath. Bonzo then swings low, drawing Louis' blade low to block. But Bonzo changes direction and swings for the Louis' elbow on his weapon hand as he tries to block. The strike lands, but misses the elbow and leaves only a small bruise on Louis' upper arm. Louis counters, slicing his knife upwards across Bonzo's chest. The blade opens a large wound as it trails off its victim's shoulder. We've got a bleeder!
|
Louis follows up with a quick, aggressive strike as Bonzo grabs at his chest wound with his left hand. Bonzo parries the blow at the last minute and strikes back. Louis jams the strike with his off-hand, stopping the attack before it gains any momentum.
|
Quote:
Erik says the sooner you die, the better. |
Bonzo strikes again, swinging wildly at Louis' head. The blow lands, but only lightly, catching Louis by surprise. The tap to Louis' cheek causes him to back out and abort his counter attack.
|
The two men start circling again. Blood from Bonzo's chest wound is now trickling down his leg and wetting the sand beneath him. Bonzo moves in aggressively from the left swings the lead pipe with vigor. But, that's exactly what Louis, wanted him to do! Louis slide-steps to the right and cuts his knife down at Bonzo's head!
|
Bonzo, uses his primal instinct to evade the blow! Louis is confused, that shot should have landed! Bonzo backs out and adopts a defensive style to recover a little. But, Louis is on him like stink on shit! Louis swings high again, but Bonzo scats away from the blow, barely evading the pointy tip of Louis' knife!
|
Bonzo starts to feel a little light headed as the blood continues to drip from his chest. He attacks, with nothing to lose. He needs to take Louis down soon, he will pass out! Bonze swings at Louis with all of his might . . .
|
The hollow lead pipe whistles through the air as it heads towards Louis' head. But it keeps whistling right past Louis' ear as Louis deftly contorts his body to avoid the blow. The motion is hard to recover from and Louis hits the ground.
|
Bonzo swings again with whatever he's got left in reserve and hits Louis in the knee. Oww! That's gotta hurt! Louis grabs his knee in agony as Bonzo moves in!
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! |
Louis curls up in a ball as the monkey-boy starts beating on him repeatedly. Bonzo lands three shots, but can't hit any vital areas.
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! |
Bonzo swings the lead pipe again in an attempt to crush Louis' scull, but Louis miraculously rolls out of the way. Bonzo swings again and Louis blocks the shot with his foot.
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! |
Louis tries to stab through his own guard and catch Bonzo unaware. Bonzo's too smart for that and avoids the stab. The blood loss looks like it's getting to Bonzo, his eyes are glazing over!
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! |
Bonzo collapses to the ground and takes a final swing at Louis before collapsing in a puddle of his own blood. The strike lands, but with no power. The medical staff comes out to the arena floor and check for a pulse. There isn't one, the doctor pronounces Bonzo dead!
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! Louis LeBeau wins the fight. He is promoted to Rank 2 and receives 1 prestige point. Raven Hawk walks out to check on his fighter. Louis' knee is in horrible shape. He won't be able to fight again this season. Raven Hawk claims the purse and offers to train Louis in a new weapon when his is fit enough to fight again. It's an ugly win for Louis, but a win nonetheless . . . |
Mr. T (Rank 1, House of Four Fingers) vs. King III (Rank 1, Malice Unchained)
Weapons: Claymore, Machete, Machete, Longsword Purse: $12,000 Mr. T is the first fighter to walk the stage in the paddocks. He looks to be in pretty decent form. King III follows his opponent out on the stage. Although he looks to be in a little worse shape, he still looks like he will put up a good fight. The odds fall to 4:3 in favor of King III prior to the match. The two fighters make their way to the arena floor and the host takes the microphone. "BEGIN!" The two won't compete for a weapon as King III heads for the Longsword and Mr. T heads for the Claymore, fool. |
The two men grab their swords and begin the ritual circling in the middle of the ring. Mr. T is the first to act and takes a wide swing with his claymore. The massive weapon blows through King's parry and cuts deep into King's midsection. The blank stare on King's face is information enough to understand that he's hurting.
|
King drops to one knee and Mr. T takes another mighty swing with the claymore from range. The heavy weapon comes down hard at the crook of King's neck and bites deep into his chest. King collapses and Mr. T pulls the claymore from his dumbstruck opponent.
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES! King coughs up a final splattering of blood before his eyes roll back into his head. Mr. T walks over to his victim and shakes head, mumbling "I pity the fool!" Mr. T has won the fight. He is promoted to Rank 2 and receives 1 prestige point. Flynn collects the purse and offers to teach Mr. T some defensive techniques. Mr. T is unhurt and can fight again at his leisure. |
