We were wondering the same thing. I'm not sure I want to find out. |
I would dip myself in lemon juice and crawl on my belly over 100 yards of broken glass to hear her fart into a walkie-talkie.

Played several rounds in Kelowna a few years ago...very nice golf in BC, that's for sure. Great pic with the rainbow but do tell us, how did that drive end up? |

Sun - love the perspective shot from the ground. I'm teaching a photography class in England right now and we're working on those types of unique perspectives. All the other pics are great as well.

The one on Ashland? Holy crap, that's like half a mile from my place, and we've been wanting to go there for a while now, but still haven't! |

That's pretty messed up of God to mock your drive with a rainbow. :D |
Great pictures Sun & Dan!

Worst family picture EVER.

That last picture is crazy Ksyrup.
EDIT: Damn it, this is not about the family pic. I was referring to the cloud pic. |
Sun Tzu, Is the picture of the shells on the beach, Sanibel Island, Florida?

That's the first thing that came to my mind as well. |
Actually, it was taken off of lake Michigan in Door County, WI.

I'm jealous of all these cool pictures. I need to get a camera and a hot wife to bang.

Nice, Sun Tzu. Sorry, the Utz crab chips make me laugh. A friend of mine in Kansas is addicted to those from visiting a friend in Annapolis and us when we were in Richmond.
Traveling around the US for 5 weeks sounds like fun, tho paying for it might not be. SI |

Yeah, I was curious about Matt Taibbi's take on financial reform, too, since he's one of the better writers about this (holy crap- why do people outside of the mainstream financial media like writers for Rolling Stone and Jon Stewart end up giving the best coverage of this whole financial crisis; it's just sad and damning) Oh, that's not what you meant ;) SI |

I'm normally not a Chicago style pizza eater.. I usually go to Nancy's when I'm in Chi town and get the thin crust, BUT Giordano's is always a "must eat" when I'm in Chicago. That place converted me :)

The site tends to feature lots of ghastly stuff (it's fun to read in a train-wreck sort of way), but there's something about that photo that makes that horrible thing look awfully, awfully good. "Such good photography!" says Diamond Dave. |
Love the pics of Norway. Visiting there would probably never have been on my radar before, but after seeing those it's now a place I'd be very interested in going to. Unbelievably clear water...

Dear Flowtown,
Randall Munroe says "hi" from 2007. Generally speaking, "credit where credit is due" should probably include credit on the image itself, not just on the heavily monetized site to which you're trying to drive traffic. |

Not so much cool pictures, but a story about cool pictures.
162 years later, famous photos restored | cincinnati.com | Cincinnati.Com Just after lunch on a sunny, September Sunday, two guys stood on a rooftop in Newport and took eight snapshots of Cincinnati's skyline. For 162 years, no one knew exactly what time of day Charles Fontayne and William Porter took their photos. Now, they do. Solving that mystery was an added bonus from a recent $40,000 examination, restoration and stabilization of one of the most famous set of photos from the 1840s. The images Fontayne and Porter captured from the current site of the Newport Aquarium are woven into the fabric of Cincinnati history. And, they changed the way the world looks at photography. "This is a tour de force, work of art of the highest level. It was a marvel in its day at exhibitions in Philadelphia and London and continues to be held in high esteem today," declared Ralph Wiegandt. As senior project conservator at Rochester's George Eastman House International Museum of Photography, he oversaw the work on the eight historic snapshots. Each is the size of a large postcard. "But they have the clarity of today's photos," Wiegandt said. "Only the stuff NASA does is better." The restoration project has been in the works since 1988. The work's owner, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, is raising funds to construct a display and website to let the public view this treasure for the first time in decades. ... |
That's cool. We just went to the Newport Aquarium about a month ago.

Don't watch movies. Name is familiar, but I couldn't have picked her out of a 2-person hot chick lineup unless I just guessed it correctly. That was just the first safe-but-hot chick pic I saw on another board. The pic I posted kinda looks like Britney Spears, actually.
|
I guess you never watched 24 either?
|
No. Sports, Investigation Discovery channel, some documentaries, and a few reality shows is about all I watch.

As one of the few that will probably see that pic before it is removed, I would just like to say thank you. Hopefully you do not get a vacation for this. She is obviously just using some sort of exercise equipment on the bottom pic. ;)

Quote:
I like how in the top one she's checking her butt for bruises before using the equipment, she probably got bruising from the last time and wanted to make sure she recovered. |
