Took a while, but Trump has now come to the defense of Russia regarding the hacking.

Nothing to see here. |
Yeah, I saw he tweeted it may be China and tied it into the election. Just another month (hopefully).
I also love how he downplays it and has been "fully briefed". There's a reason almost every IT person you'll talk to is like "holy crap - this is going to be a huge problem for years to come". SI |
He’s been bought wholly
It’s Crystal clear and the gop who was the patriotic party will never again authentically hold that mantle They are complicit to the selling of America to the Russians They’ve won, Russia won Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Not sure where to put it, but we shouldn't forget to make fun of the Space Force Guardians. Those folks are gonna take so much shit from the other services.

Basically, according to the New York Times Trump tried last night to have a military coup to stay in power. Completely nothing to worry about, right?

I haven't found anything on this, from the NY Times or anywhere else. Can you give us a link? I'd be very interested to see it. |

I looked too - this is all I could find: a reference to a NYT story about sending in the military to battleground states to redo the election Trump wanted conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell as special counsel on voter fraud – report | Donald Trump | The Guardian |
That's it. He had Mathis championing Martial law in the White House, and Trump supporting the idea.

Lou Dobb is so pathetic.

The problems the the Postal Service are experiencing right now are real and so infuriating. Lots of delayed packages. I heard a story about a package taking 17 days shipped from FL, on an order that would normally be delivered in 2. I mailed 4 packages last Monday. Most were supposed to be delivered last Thursday. One was on time. One was 2 days late, and the most important one of the bunch has made it about 8 miles to Cincinnati. It took 6 days to do that too, and no mention of it beyond that. Just that it arrived there. We have packages coming that I can see in my informed delivery that were shipped as far back as the 11th and haven't left their state of origin either. It's the confluence of actions and the total lack of leadership and planning from the government. It's so frustrating. I have little faith now that these packages will get where they needed to be on time. You can't call anyone and ask either, because the phone system is 100% automated.
|
A friend of ours had a package take 3 weeks to get here. It arrived in Seattle 3 times as it bounced around different locations in Washington before finally being delivered.
|
I have a buddy who is a mail carrier, says this went out nation-wide the other day, which gives an indication of the straits they're in:

The USPS also used to require some sort of math/counting entrance exam and a drug test & my buddy tells me those standards have also been discarded in the past couple years (at least locally).

I refuse to give Sportsdigs credit for this reporting. Trump Is Already Wondering What Airport Will Bear His Name |
I nominate the Dothan Regional Airport.
|
I am sure there is some shitty dirt air strip that crop dusters use that would be happy to oblige Trump, or maybe an air field in Puerto Rico that is still in disrepair from the Hurricane and on the verge of being abandoned.

73 cadets at West Point caught cheating.

Is there an airport in Hell, Michigan?

Some weird stuff happening at the Oregon capital in Salem today.

Imagine if they were black or muslim?
IMO the second they tried to access the building with guns they are a threat and should have been shot. |
Thanks Lathum, pretty scary if it gets more organized than this.

Armed men trying to break into the Capital. No teargas anywhere in sight. Weird.
|
Ironically, this protest at the Oregon capital appears to mostly be the work of Joey Gibson and his Patriot Prayer organization, who are based in Vancouver, Washington.
If you're not intimately familiar with that geography, Vancouver is basically a suburb of Portland and likely wouldn't exist without it, but it IS still across a bridge, a river & a border, in an entirely different state, and subject to that state's laws & regulations, so driving down to violently protest at the Oregon capital seems especially misguided & moronic. |
Quote:
Wouldn't that also make it fall under a federal agency's jurisdiction as well? |
Sure seems like it, but they appear to be getting zero pushback for kicking in the doors of the state capitol while armed. Go figure.

The police did use some kind of blue colored gas. |

Barr made a big stink about crossing state lines to commit crimes but it hasn't been enforced equally. Shocking I know. |

Teargas for others, smoke on their own. |

I'm not a big fan of the whole protesting on government property with firearms thing either but given the situation right now shooting one of them without shots having been fired first is the worst thing the police could do. At least they're still trying to talk to their government, it's when they no longer wish to that it hits the fan. |
Newsmax, like Fox News, also apparently got sent to the principal’s office for lying about voter machine fraud. The claims they are refuting make it sound like an SNL sketch. I’m glad they clarified that the machines were not owned by the Pelosi or Clinton families or Venezuela (or Hugo Chavez).

Silly me. I forgot the police only shoot unarmed black people. White guys with guns storming a state capital are off guard. I mean, if a couple of them got capped can't we just say they deserved it for not complying? |

The issue seems to be one side gets teargassed and beat up while the other gets free reign to do whatever they want. Why the disproportional response? |
newsmax finally does fair and truthful reporting and all of a sudden they're deep state

So, the plan is now to have 6 states challenged on January 6th, forcing 12 hours of debate that will force the process to go two days. At this point, I think Pelosi should refuse to seat the members that signed on to the Texas lawsuit. If they don't believe in elections, then they don't belong.

All this really does is underline how easy it is to overthrow an election. Does anyone believe the Republicans wouldn't ignore the results of the votes if they had a majority in both the House and Senate?

There's a difference between a protest environment and cops making an arrest on the street. Protests are political in nature and if people start getting capped in political environments I think that's something that'll be very difficult to come back from. It's like crossing the Rubicon. |
Quote:
This summer it was predominantly one side who put themselves in a position to be tear gassed. |
Quote:
So all the BLM protests don't count? How many reporters were shot with rubber bullets today? Arrested? Tear gassed? IMO trying to enter a government building armed crosses the line from protest to insurrection. I'll go back to what I originally said, what do you think the scene would look like had they been Muslim? |
Quote:
Trying to storm a capital building while armed isn't what I classify as a protest but YMMV. |
