Yeppers, Hand of Fate 2 and Alien: Isolation are the free games this week |
Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is the free game at Epic this week. Characters from D&D Novels, modules, and shows like Critical Role and the Yogscast D&D shows are available to play. It's kinda of an idle game where you don't have to pay a lot of attention to I think while playing.
|
It's always BEEN free-to-play. I think they're giving away a character pack for it or something.
|
Quote:
it's always free |
Thanks for the correction
|
it definitely is a rabbit hole of endless adventures
|
|
Pine, an action adventure game where humans never reached the top of the food chain and are looking for a place to live is the free game at Epic this week.
|
Thanks again to Thomkal for posting these deals each week.
I frequent an Aussie bargains site where someone always posts the free game from Epic that is coming up in seven days. All well and good but I want to know what got released this week. |
Quote:
Glad to help. I just like seeing everyone here get free and discounted games. Everyone should feel free to post what they find. I won't get upset if someone beats me to the punch. |
The Lion's Song, an episodic adventure game set in 20th century history (Austria?) is the free game at Epic this week
|
The game for this week has not been revealed yet-it's a surprise, so maybe something big?
|
Rumor is the latest NBA game (I guess that would be 2K21?)
|
Quote:
I suppose that would be a big one for some :) |
Quote:
And the rumor would be correct Sir. NBA 2k21 is the free game this week. Also may have DLC's or other games in the series on sale. Also scroll down past the free games and you can claim a $10 coupon for any game $15 or more through June 17. Next week's free game is also a mystery |
So you know me I'm always in search of a good bargain. Especially when it comes to Epic's $10 off coupon-I'm looking to get a game I'm interested for less than $10. I have two for you from this sale:
1) Legend of Keepers-$7. Take the weekly management of Darkest Dungeon but none of the depressing atmosphere. You are the business manager of an adventuring company that specializes in keeping the evil overlords of the world safe from those serious, no good heroes. Hire and manage monsters to stop them in their tracks, use and discover traps to slow them down, use the power of the overlord itself to stop them in their tracks, and if all of that fails the might of the overlord itself in final battle 2) Before We Leave-$10 Your Peeps survived the devastation that almost destroyed your civilization. Now they emerge from the bunkers to rebuild the planet enough to find the technology they need to escape from the planet and start all over again on another planet in the solar system. All while not repeating the mistakes of your ancestors by recreating the things that led to the devastation in the first place. EDIT: I can add a third Curse of the Dead Gods for $5 ( I think you can use the $10 off on this). An Action RPG/Roguelike where you fight your way through the endless tunnels of an accursed temple. Fight the corruption of the place or succumb to it and be reborn to fight anew |
I was thinking of Pheonix Point for $16 after coupon. Then again I'm afraid that it'll be free offering next week!
|
Quote:
Yeah that's a good choice too. I don't think the free games work that way, so should be safe to use it on that. Would probably be a lot of angry people if they spent the coupon on what would have been a free game in a couple of weeks. |
Rogue Legacy 2 for $5.99 after coupon was right down my alley.
|
Quote:
Another good choice |
I just picked up Before We Leave on Steam for $15. Haven't had a chance to dig into it much, but it looks interesting.
|
So I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow about when the next free game opens up at Epic. So no search parties needed, but I do need someone to step in tomorrow and report on the game(s), It's another mystery game, so worth checking out
|
Rumor is rise of the tomb raider: 20 year celebration
|
Quote:
Not worth the doctor's appt then? :) |
Free game this week is Among Us. Next week is another mystery.
|
Well it turns out I'm here after all after the doctor rescheduled my appointment (right before I was getting ready to leave) until tomorrow.
So Bee hold on to that Tomb Raider free game rumor because that it not this week's free game. That game is Among Us, a wacky party game set on a spaceship/space colony/airship where one or two players are actually killers and working against the other good beans. They have to figure out who the killers are before they get killed or something horrible happens to the ship. All the cool kids are playing this on YouTube/Twitch and really does look like a fun game. Next week's game is a mystery for now. |

Beat me to it! |
And the mystery is solved-FrostPunk, another good game is the free game at Epic this week. It's a survival sim where you are the ruler of the last city on Earth trying to survive on a very cold Earth
|
I know how I'm spending my evening!
|
And the last week of the Epic sale has another biggie free game-its Control, a supernatural action RPG where you have supernatural powers and have to take control of a secretive agency
|
They are also advertising Genshin Impact a free MMO heavily influenced by Asian anime-its already free but you get other free stuff with it if you play through Epic. I've dabbled a bit, and it's hard for me to ignore the Asian influences, but I do like it overall and worth a try if you are into anime/Asian MMO's
|
Epic's Mega sale is done so back to their regular method of revealing free games in advance. This week's games are Overcooked 2, and Hell is Other Demons
|
A racing game, Horizon Chase Turbo and Sonic Mania are the free games at Epic this week
|
The Spectrum Retreat where you check into a swanky hotel and then have to find out why you can't leave in puzzle/adventure flavor is the free game at Epic this week.
|
2 free games at Epic this week:
1: Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead-What could be more fun than building a bridge? Destroying said bridge when a horde of Zombies are chasing after you! 2: Ironcast: an interesting RPG set in an alternate history with steampunk and Victorian-era culture combine as captains of massive walking war machines. Looks like combat (maybe?) happens through a match-3 type of mini-game. So yeah weird but intriguing too. |
2 games at Epic this week:
1.OffWorld Trading Company-a repeat free game I think. 2. Obduction, a puzzler by the makers of MYST |
Two free games at Epic this week:
1. Verdun:Western Front-A WWI simulation 2. Defense Grid:The Awakening-a digital version of a board game (I think), it's a Tower Defense type of game |
I've spent many hours with Defense Grid and it's sequel.
|
A bit of an early start on the soon to be free games at Epic this week:
1-Mothergunship-a "bullet hell" first person shooter 2-Train Sim World 2-I think you can figure out what this one is about :) |
At some point, I will download the Epic launcher and play all of these free games.
Maybe.... |
Quote:
you'll probably do what I do...which is download them and never play them |
or do what I do...which is "buy" them but never download them.
The exception being the somewhat recent basketball game offering from 2K. I played that for maybe 1 or 2 nights. The "My Player" mode was garbage. Uninstalled. |
2 new free games from Epic:
1)A Plague Tale: Innocence. A brother and sister try to escape from the Plague and the Inquisition and Rats. One of the most striking game ad covers I've ever seen. 2) Minit_An adventure game played 60 seconds at a time. They changed this from some other game I had never heard of at the last minute, so curious what happened here. |
In about 20 mins, the free game at Epic will be:
Rebel Galaxy. Would not surprise me if there's another free one, so stay tuned! :) Color me surprise, no other game offered. |
2 free games this week:
1) Void Bastards-In this strategy-shoooter mix, you are leading prisoners of the Void Ark through spaceships to freedom. 2) Yooka-Laylee-an open world platformer where you control two adorable(?) friends, gather collectables, learn special moves, etc. |
So Epic snuck in a third free game this week-Saints Row: The Third: Remastered. It's free to claim until Sep 2. One(?) more game goes free in about 4 hours-its:
Automachef_a resource management puzzler where you design kitchens and program machinery |
In all the excitement of the No Man's Sky Frontiers update and the new Pathfinder game coming out, I totally forgot about the Epic free game. Sadly I don't think it will match the excitement of those two:
Yoku's Island Express: A platformer that uses pinball mechanics and open world exploration. |
The free game at Epic this week looks interesting: Sheltered. A survival management after an apocalypse game. You and three family members work together to try to survive
Edit: Epic snuck in another free one: Nioh: The Complete Edition: An action game set in the time of the samurai |
I'll be away from my computer today when the free games go live, so here's what they should be:
1-Speed Brawl-pretty much what you expect from the name-a brawler where you use speed to power your moves in combat/ 2-Tharsis--a space strategy game with dice where as the commander to the first mission to Mars you must discover what the signal originating from the Tharsis region of Mars is and survive it and whatever an untamed Mars throws at you |
Sorry I'm late on this, the free game at Epic this week is:
1-The Escapists-a repeat of an earlier free game here Next week its looking like Europa Universalis 4 is the free game so stay tuned for that. |
