Biden is at .65, when he was at .59 before the first debate. Pence has skyrocketed from .03 to .08 |
We can't believe any of this. All of this could totally be a plant job by the WH.
I see this being a situation where he fakes having it, recovers and talks about how it really is the just like the flu. Everything about him running for POTUS, getting elected, policies he's put in place, etc. has been all about him making money. So, him getting re-elected is the same. This is just another desperate ploy by him to try to win. He knows he's losing so he's trying anything possible to win. |

Some pro-Biden movement overall and in the individual states. As someone noted, Pence to win shot up. Also, pretty big movement in "Will Trump finish his first term," which has been sort of a hybrid impeachment/illness/resign-if-he-loses market. |
{facepalm}

And yet 40% of people are voting for him and another percentage are considering it or voting 3rd party. Speaks volumes about us as a society, as well. SI |

They really don't believe in the germ theory of disease. Like, it isn't like they know it and just pretend that they don't to keep the President from looking bad. They really, sincerely and honestly, do not seem to understand how germs spread. |
It would be so fucked up if Trump really has it, gave it to Biden, Biden dies and Trump wins because of it.
That would be a 2020 fucked up thing to do. |
Here's how insane this week has been: less than a week ago, POTUS made the most controversial Supreme Court nomination of our lifetime, and right now there is NO mention of the nominee on the front pages of CNN or MSNBC's web sites, and barely a mention on that of Fox News.
|
"Alright, sir - what do you think is the best way to get out of 2 more debates?"
"How about we fake COVID and a miraculous recovery?" SI |
Thinking through governing, and it's a nightmare to have the President in quarantine. How is he briefed? What happens if there's a national security crisis? How are materials brought back and forth?
Even things like food and clothing should work differently. |

I love one of the responses to it, too
It's like when we talk about "if only he handled the pandemic well". He just doesn't have that tool in his toolbox. SI |
Also, the media has generally given her a pass over the last few years because she almost looks cute, but Hope Hicks is a pretty horrible person, right?
If you spend a lot of your work hours maskless within 6 feet of the President of the United States, then maybe you should spend your non-work hours isolating and staying safe? We could end up in a nuclear war because she just had to go to some cocktail party or whatever. |
Saw this on twitter:
This month is going to be an October Surprise Advent calendar. |

Haberman at NYT reporting that Trump has "cold-like" symptoms.
|
The President knows Hope Hicks tested positive, is feeling lethargic himself, and yet still goes to a fundraiser without a mask. *Pounds head on table*

And you just know that there was a non-zero chance, they would have planted the seeds for a "Biden gave Trump Corona" conspiracy theory had the Hope Hicks news been kept quiet (or she would have tested negative, false negatives being not that unlikely, thus no obvious candidate). Also, get mentally ready for a lot of Hydroxychloroquine Infomercials ... |
From Oct. 2nd, 2016

Trump's camp didn't even reach out to the Biden camp to let them know about this.
Fuck them all. |
The Lincoln project and Biden camps need to hammer home the fact that this disease has long term consequences we are still learning about and do we want to elect a leader for 4 more years not knowing how this could effect his health in the long run.

Chris Wallace keeping it real on Fox News. Trying to fight the good fight.

I wish people would include at least some details with these sort of posts. Pretty please, for the bored german sitting alone in his office ? ;) |

Holy crap - Chris Wallace throwing dirt on Dr. Atlas SI |
Quote:
Basically saying Atlas is a political dope and that people should listen to Fauci and Birx. And that masks are really important. Of course, then they brought in some random doctor right after that to try to walk some of it and tell people not to panic. SI |
Thing I am not looking forward to:
If the GOP loses this November, lots and lots of serious people writing serious articles about how the GOP only lost because Trump got the novel coronavirus and so it would be improper and norm-breaking for the Democrats to pass any laws or appoint any judges for the next two years. |

Mitch is already sipping his morning bourbon and typing up this talking points as we speak. Hell, who are we kidding. He had them already months ago. SI |

haha. sorry was typing from my phone. HE recounted how at the debates Bidens whole camp was wearing masks throughout and not only did the Trump camp not wear masks, they were offered them and waved them off. He also pointed out that was in violation of the rules set by the Cleveland clinic. They also played a clip of Trump mocking Biden for wearing a mask, but cut it off before the really incriminating part and Wallace immediately chimes in that he wished they played the whole clip. |

So this probably means the 2nd debate is canceled right (the Town Hall one). No way Trump is going to agree to a Zoom debate. If I was Biden, I'd push for it be rescheduled instead (it's Biden's best format, and even Trump realizes that interrupting when someone is trying to answer a question by a voter is even worse optics than arguing with a moderator).
Also thankfully it means no rallys with a bunch of unmasked, standing close together people for the next 2 weeks. |

The White House is acknowledging that Trump is having 'mild symptoms'. I imagine they are probably underplaying it.

The Russian connect was a HoAx! - Good thing he got covid so no one would notice this

The lack of tweets from him makes me suspect that as well. |
It is so hard to tell with his scrambled egg way of thinking and talking, but I think that he's saying something along of the lines of "Y'all know how sluts be, always fucking cops and soldiers, amirite?"

A friend of mine got it over the summer, and it has caused Pulmonary Embolism in his lungs. He's dealing with clots and hasn't been able to go back to work. It's gotten to the point that he's started a Gofundme to help cover bills. |
Quote:
I think it's obviously not what he's saying. It's not like Trump doesn't do enough things to criticize that we have to make the things he does say worse than they already are. After all, 'stand down and stand by' is going to be the gift that keeps on giving by itself. |
What he's saying is, you know, she's a pretty young girl, and of course all these strong military men and cops want to hug and kiss her. They can't keep their hands off of her! Of course she got sick.
|
Quote:
Well yeah, but of all the things you can say? Literally nobody is coming up to them for hugs and kisses. The man has never understood the concept of less is more. It always has to be grandiose and superfluous, so he invites it. |

Exactly and with how this white house lies, you have to think if it was really just mild symptoms, they would have pretended he was fine. |
It will be "cold like symptoms" even as they rush him to the hospital for a "physical."

According to the medical people on the news, we likely won't know how bad this might be for the President until middle-late next week.
