Yeah, it´s Vancouver from a beach called "Jericho". Vancouver really kicks ass as a city btw, totally going back there, hope to do a long trip in 2,3 years :) I´ve got a Panasonic Lumix TZ 4, it´s a 10 zoom (optical, plus more digital) digital cam. Bought it mainly because it has the highest zoom and everything while still (barely) fitting in your pocket.
I took it with 30 seconds of lighting, basically with the options you normally use for taking pictures of stars . Makes for some interesting pics depending on light sources, including camp fires that look like it´s a gray and windy afternoon and not midnight ;) (here there was a highly lighted building at the beach just to the right, which set it up perfectly).
