For the most part, I like his gifs. They make me laugh. I have no idea where they come from or where people find them. (I don't want to know either, I like the mystery.)

Why would I do that? You'll are the ones with the problem not me, if it bugs you so much I suggest the ignore button. I have not violated any board rules by posting those gifs so absent of me being banned for gifs the solution would be to put me on your ignore button.

You should start a "Noop's Cool GIFs" thread and put them there. That way, people who like them can see them, and those who don't won't have to scroll through them to see the other stuff. Maybe even put a link to the thread in your sig.

I've never understood this mentality.

It's like when people complain about certain threads, if you don't like it just skip over it.

If you don't like the .gifs just skip over them.

Then what about the people who don't mind? A vocal minority doesn't represent everyone. I think the easiest way to solve this is to put me on ignore that way they don't have to see my post. It's a win win for everyone involved and no one can complain.

I have constantly said to anyone who has a problem to exercise their use of the ignore button it makes things easier.

Personally I have gotten more laughs out of most of GIFs than I have out of the pictures posted in here.

It has nothing to do with skipping over them, depending on a persons computer specs a page with 10-15 animated gifs can really slow down the response time in their browser. I personally don't experience the problem unless I'm at work, and it's annoying, but I put up with it.

Telling people to put you on ignore because of animated gifs basically tells me that you feel you add nothing to this board other then posting animated gifs.

So, Noop is supposed to stop posting animated gifs because it causes you hardship when you are screwing off at work???

No, but more then one person has made the request. This is basically the same as the parent who's child is making a scene at dinner, and has been asked to control their child by various other restaurant patrons, but tells them they could always go to another restaurant.

I guess I just don't understand the mentality of purposely pissing people off after something has been brought to your attention.

(please understand it doesn't bother me, I'm just trying to provide a solution that would benefit the whole).
