There are more where that came from. The stream of pictures can be nearly endless. :)

But he was an asshole. And then he left the team so suddenly, I know I didn't see it coming. Same as Kent. Thank goodness we got rid of him.

WSU, I'm glad to see that you and your family are properly attired in your pics!

Thanks, Icy...

I went on two different diet and exercise "kicks" over a two year period. The first time I weighed 245 and got down to 195 primarily through reducing caloric intake to less than 2000 per day and then just exercising. That took about 3 months, but I gained most of it back. This past April I was 220 and decided to try the South Beach Diet - at the same time I also started training for a marathon. I got down to 163 in about 3 months or so. South Beach is pretty easy. The name is unfortunate because it is just so trendy-sounding, but the principles behind it are pretty sound. Eat foods that keep your blood sugar on an even keel...stay away from high glycemic foods and alcohol. Eat lots of vegetables, eggs, cheese, whole grains, lean meats...

Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know :)

I'm hold a grudge, so the ex is cut out of this photo.

If I had the full photo on my computer though, I would post it. No reason not to. This just happens to be the only thing on my computer. It's about a year old:

okay, you're the first person to post a picture that bears no resemblance to the way I pictured you.

I was thinking more along on the lines of Silent Bob, not the guy from Keane.

Any of you St. Louis folks think cthomer5000 looks like a young Martin Kilcoyne?

Fonzie 01-07-2005 08:46 AM

Here's one of me from a while back:

Pumpy Tudors 01-07-2005 08:48 AM

Two things about that above picture which was quoted by rkmsuf:

1. My teeth aren't yellow. I blame the poor lighting in the room and the camera flash, or maybe I had just eaten something silly.

2. For those who weren't here, don't remember, or didn't care, I took that picture especially for this thread. My, that one was fun!

Isn't the human body an odd thing? If i ate eggs and cheese as a normal part of my regular diet I'd be in some major pain, but Subby has it as a part of his weight loss regime. Im jealous, cause i likes me some cheese.

Cutting out processed carbs lowers triglycerides and cholesterol, and hence is good for heart health. So you are pretty balanced out - especially if you add exercise into the mix. In fact, I have two eggs, cheese, bacon, V8 juice, coffee and a glass of Lite Vanilla Soy Milk every morning for breakfast and when I tested my cholesterol in December I was at 185, down from over 200 a few years ago.

The other great thing about eggs and cheese is that the fat in them satiate you - so you don't eat as much. Plus they pack a lot of nutrition. Really hard to get that kind of nutrition from any other source at breakfast time.

Skim milk is lame. Fat helps absorb nutrients. Without fat your bady is getting little of the good stuff that comes with the milk. At least switch to 1%.

Fiber One is okay, but has a ton of nutrasweet...which has lots of concerns of its own.

Eggs!

I have been drinking Healthy Rewards lately, it has a bit more fat than skim, less than 1% and tastes like 2%

sexual preference notwithstanding, you look exactly like i pictured you (the slimmed down version). good job on that diet, although i don't know about the long-term ramifications of such a diet the cosmetic results can't be denied. i think i'll do some research on the diet.

plus i love South Beach.

Eaglesfan27 01-07-2005 10:20 AM

There was an interesting study in the most recident edition of the Journal of the American Medical Academy that demonstrated that the South Beach, Zone, Atkins, and Weight Watchers diets all had similar effects on weight loss, improved cardiac health (as measured by decreased LDL, increased HDL, and one or two other factors which are escaping me right now) as long as they were adhered to. Congrats to Subby and all of the other people who have lost a lot of weight (something I'm working on now.)

Loren 01-07-2005 10:24 AM

switch to soy like subby  but im biased since we dont eat meat :D sorry subby i thought everyone had seen the pics already try again..
