I'm pretty sanguine on timmae being truthful here, and I'm still leaning Telle as VV which leaves me with leaves me with render and CF
I had assumed CF was the sorcerer which it seems like was actually brit, so now his game is just confusing to me render has skated by without much attention since he was involved in the d1 voting, which in retrospect i kind of wish we'd put more towards him d2 |
so what do you think of each of the remaining people jackal?
|
they both put late votes on CW, CF's originally was going to be the 3rd vote so at that point he could have been hoping render wouldn't switch
|
I mean, I guess I still have to consider the scenario that timmae got the lucky priest reveal, which throws a lot into question in terms of the voting record
|
it's bath and bed time for the kids i'll think about it a bit more and come back later, it's not the end of the world if I go down because I'm pretty sure we'd have one more shot, but i'll run through everyone again when I get back
timmae -- probably priest, maybe lucky wolf telle -- probably villager, maybe a lucky slow play / late save at the d1 deadline cf -- thought he was sorcerer, maybe a wolf, but being the 3rd vote on CW looks good if timmae is legit render -- being the 4th vote on CW also looks good if timmae is legit assuming timmae is legit, I'm guessing one of cf/render bought some credit by being one of the late votes on CW, and possibly even left timmae alive to reinforce that credit? it's not a bad move |
Day 3 Voting as of Post 405:
1 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386) |
vote jackal
|
vote CF
|
I'm gonna watch the flyers but definitely seems like timmae and CF have their minds made up.. telle/render let me know if you have any questions
|
Let's Go Flyers!

I have zero evidence either way, I' assuming the best and that he's alive for the time being. Quote:
This is exactly how I play, almost always. Quote:
I was wrong on Timmae, plain and simple. When given evidence enough to move my vote, i did so. Quote:
With only 2 wolves, there is no way I would have voted for my teamate when it was a one vote swing. if i were a wolf I absolutely would have been forced to switch to keep him alive. As I am not a wolf, history is what it is. |
I absolutely have been inactive today. I apologize profusely to you all. I am working now and just remembered to check in. totally my fault.
|
2 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386), timmae (407)
1 CrimsonFox - The Jackal (408) |
So my next report invention is going to have to be the vote count as of a given post. Since I don't have that yet, I'm going to try to manually figure out what the vote count was when things suddenly swung heavily towards Coffee.
Btw, the consensus at this point seems to be that timmae is legit. I'm not personally comfortable with that conclusion but admit that I'm possibly just being paranoid. |
Day 3 Voting as of Post 417:
2 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386), timmae (407) 1 CrimsonFox - The Jackal (408) |
I'm going to cote CrimsonFox, my reasoning is weak, I admit, but last game he was a key good guy and he was quiet as a mouse. this game he's been bouncing off the walls.
Also, its a key vote move to have the earliest vote on someone in this ruleset, because ties are broken by the oldest vote. CF placed the first vote today by a long margin. Perhaps padding the tiebreak safety net a bit for himself? VOTE CRIMSONFOX |
End of Day 2
As of post #304, 9:19pm (with JAG's official count in post #308) 4 timmae - Coffee Warlord (186), RendeR (230), Telle (293), The Jackal (299) 2 Coffee Warlord - timmae (228), EagleFan (236) 1 EagleFan - CrimsonFox (304) timmae reveals as Priest at 9:42pm in post #310 No vote movement until 9:55pm when CF attempts to vote Coffee but doesn't unvote in post #327 RendeR almost simultaneously votes Coffee in post #328 9:57pm CF unvotes and votes Coffee posts #330/331 |
Quote:
This paints both Render and CF in a very good light (assuming timmae is the Priest as he says he is). timmae was the vote leader by a two-vote margin. He revealed but people didn't immediately jump off him. Then with five minutes to go, both Render and CF move from timmae to Coffee, who has since been identified by timmae as a wolf. If either of them is a wolf and made that move, not knowing that another would be moving their vote too, then they had nothing to gain from it.. the likely result would have still been the Priest dead and nobody to say that they voted for a wolf last-second and must therefor be a good guy. There was not likely any panic that maybe everyone would move their votes, since more than ten minutes had gone by and we were still all trying to decide whether or not to trust timmae and it wasn't exactly looking good. So at this point, I think my only option is to VOTE The Jackal |
3 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386), timmae (407), Telle (420)
2 CrimsonFox - The Jackal (408), RendeR (418) |
since neither CF or myself could have known the other was literally voting at the same time the other was, and no sensible wolf os going to break a tie in FAVOR of lynching a wolf teamate, this leads me to believe that perhaps CF is not the other wolf.....thoughts?
|
Are we all assuming telle is ok then? and if so, why?
|
Day 3 Voting as of Post 423:
3 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386), timmae (407), Telle (420) 2 CrimsonFox - The Jackal (408), RendeR (418) |
Quote:
timmae laid out his rationale upthread |
UNVOTE
VOTE THE JACKAL |
Quote:
She highlighted that CF's last vote that lynched CW was not legit allowing him to cast the deciding vote. Clears both I think. |
After thinking over yesterdays vote more, this is where I'm at.
|
Quote:
Band-waggoner. Well if we don't win when we lynch The Jackal then we can go for you tomorrow ;) |
You can but you'll lose totally then.

Honestly, if it's not The Jackal, then we're likely screwed anyways. All current info points to him, but that's LARGELY based on accepting what timmae has been saying as truth. If timmae isn't who he says he is, we lose with this lynch and there is no tomorrow. |
Final Day 3 Voting:
4 The Jackal - CrimsonFox (386), timmae (407), Telle (420), RendeR (426) 1 CrimsonFox - The Jackal (408) |
You have decided that The Jackal is the lynch for today. He is killed.
The werewolves have been eliminated. The village has won! |
Yay for the village! Awesome game peeps.
Thanks for running this JAG. It was.... interesting. |
Thanks for playing all. A very nice job by the village, a lot of good work put in by folks.
Your cast of characters: 1 seer - mauchow / EagleFan 2 priest - timmae 3 hunter - CrimsonFox 4 villager - Telle 5 villager - RendeR 6 villager - Autumn 7 werewolf - The Jackal 8 werewolf - Coffee Warlord 9 sorceror - britrock88 |
Wooohoo!
|
Holy crap, disnt see that coming. EF didnt have a N1 peep.I guess so didnt claim. Wow. I lucked into my entire worldbuild. Mind blown.
|
Telle runs the next game in a couple weeks ;)
|
What were the two seer scan results?
|
Quote:
Eh... I don't think so :) |
Playoff hockey distracted me there but I don't think it would have mattered much -- EF being the seer slightly vindicated my waffled decision between NKing EF/timmae, I suppose. Good game village!
|
EF actually told me he was thinking about making a post near night deadline with his information (that timmae was his N0 scan), but timmae was able to convince people without the help which was crucial. The wolves I believe were offline or occupied at the time of the big day 2 reveal so they couldn't react, which was probably in the end what sealed the deal.
|
I was around for timmae's reveal but was hoping it wouldn't shift to CW so quickly. I don't think he was able to be there though
|
Quote:
Only one, since mau missed the N1 scan. N0 = timmae not wolf. |
So the late reveal helped us... hell yes!
|
Thanks again for the game JAG, although I had some BS going on in life I had fun and would enjoy playing some more
|
Quote:
you played a very solid game, kudos |
I probably should have done a fake seer reveal or something, clearly hunter wouldn't have helped too much
|
Speculation thread has been opened to all in case anyone wants to have a look.
Werewolf Xtreme III I can validate anyone's account if they don't currently have one. |
So the N1 kill was just taking out a tough player I guess.
Kinda wish we would have seen more Brit D1 but since he was the sorc, maybe not! |
yeah, bummer for us that we took out the sorc there, in retrospect probably should have just backed off at that deadline and let telle et al make the moves ;)
|
Considering there was thought to whacking an inactive on day 1, the other option besides the sorc was the player who was the seer.
Now think about how the game could've gone with brit being able to make a seer claim that didn't go countered because the real seer was dead (assuming the wolves didn't kill him). |
Oh, well timmae would've known the seer is dead I suppose.
|
For anybody that's curious, this is the current URL for my WW database website I've been creating https://telle-werewolf-db.glitch.me/
While I am a computer programmer, I have very limited web-related experience. I started this with a vague understanding of HTML and style sheets.. and now have something of a grasp on SQLITE3, javascript, and JSON. The site could obviously be prettied up a bit and have some existing features tweaked, but I've been learning as I go. |
Quote:
Then no one would have believed me for sure, lol. |
Quote:
I'm still not sure I believe you ;) |
That's pretty cool Telle.
|
Quote:
Awesome stuff... nice little hobby. I was off seinking beer and whiskey most nights. Lol. |
Good job. I only had the N0 clear of timmae. I tried to beg JAG for a lsmate N1 scan but to no avail. I had a scan in for Telle last night, though I would have changed to either RendeR or Jackal if I saw CW was lynch.
Sorry, last night was a little crazy around deadlines. I thought I screwed up and missed saving timmae. |
Err. Drinking. And yes, you likely will never believe anything I say. Ha!
|
First rule of werewolf:
Trust No one. |
Gotta say, I like rolled up villager EF.
Renders I am not inactive post was epic greatness. |
Damn kids keeping me occupied at yesterday's deadline, couldn't counter timmae's reveal.
Ah well. I was absolutely convinced from the start I was gonna get seer scanned super early, since it'd been forever since I've played. |
whew! I fell asleep and didn't make it back!
werewolf is a cruel mistress i was the hunter btw |
you were fantastic realdeal!!!!!!!
|
so glad to finally play a game with you coffee :)
|
i hope render and telle have made up and aren't mad at each other
or is render still couch surfing after that v/v fight |
wow telle that's amazing db! <3
can you teach me how to do that? |
Quote:
I thought v/v Tender was quite mild in the anger department. Not sure about the couch surfing but I think the in game communication was awesome. @Autumn: What happened to your second half of D1? That through me for a loop. Interestingly enough how it worked out the read I thought you had mau actually had. With Brit going down instead of Mau our sorc wasn't around to wreck chaos. If mau went down this is a completely different game. @telle: Was brit just a coin flip at that point? Your vote on him was the turning point early on. |
Quote:
I'm still teaching myself! :) Basically I poked around at glitch.com and found a few projects that use databases. I decided that I liked the ones that use actual SQL statements since I'm well versed in that. I then picked one that had a simple input field, copied it to be my starting point, and started playing. Google was very helpful when I had questions about how to do the things I was trying to do. The date-picker for the game start and end dates was something that I found online. It wasn't quite plug-and-play though, so there was a lot of trial and error while I tried to get that to work properly. |
Quote:
We had a fight this game? :) Nothing compared to two games ago! And no we don't allow werewolf fights to bleed over into real life (although he is still kind of miffed that I actively didn't remind him that deadline was approaching Day 1 in the hopes that he'd get lynched instead of me.. I still maintain that it's his responsibility to be aware of the deadline and that we're not supposed to be talking outside of the game anyway). And about brit, it wasn't much more than a coin flip. I remembered that he had gotten really busy during the last game so thought that could likely continue this game and I don't know mau so I figured I'd give him a chance. Basically we got lucky :) |
Yeah, a big thanks to EF for stepping into this game on day 2. mauchow reached out to me later on day 2 and mentioned he had forgotten to reset his messages to ping his email which is why he missed the start of the game.
|
Quote:
Great game indeed. I just got really busy Monday and didn't have a chance to check in, which was sad--I was looking forward to playing the Sorc. I thought it would be okay to be lynched as an inactive Sorc in a no-reveal game, because the role's real value is in causing doubt and (if lucky) outing the Seer to the wolves. But the Priest role (which, again, timmae played really well) negated the potential advantage. |
I almost forgot, this was a humorous moment for me:
Quote:
Yes, who was that amazing seer...oh right, I remember! Front Office Football Central - View Single Post - Small game - Return of Werewolf Xtreme (Game over! Result in Post 401) Quote:
(the wolves ate their own night 1, so there was only one left to scan and he did so) |
Good memory, JAG.
Man, I was a sparkling VV in that game. Funny we spared an inactive Sorc on D1 then... :D |
Quote:
Too bad I played like ass. :) |
Oh, hope there are no hard feelings Telle. :)
I knew I had to go at someone when I started, based on how I was playing last game. Didn't want to see "different" since I ended up as seer. With the back and forth between you and CW I assumed that one of you was a wolf, and personally I was leaning towards it being CW near the end of the day (D2). I had a scan in for you for N2 but if I was actually and saw how the vote turned out I was thinking of switching it to Jackal. I had you as a scan with CW as conditional if you happened to be lynched that day, which I submitted early. |
Thanks for the invite JAG. Was fun, though I probably set a record for the briefest appearance in a game. :)
|
Fun game, guys. Thanks, JAG for running it.
@Timmae - unfortunately it was just bad luck that I got caught up with other stuff and didn't get back here in time. I was kind of lucky I got killed because I ended up being really busy this week. |
