I wonder if he scanned Telle as a wolf and was trying to save her?

Abe Sargent 05-18-2009 07:13 PM

Who does the self vote implicate? Did we have wolf as ne of those with a lot of votes?

Danny 05-18-2009 07:14 PM

Out of curiosity guys, how you set a link to a specific post within a thread as opposed to the page that it's on?

I'm 100% certain he didn't :)

But fact wise.. he self-voted long before the run on me. I'm not sure but I think at that point hoops was the second contender. And then he voted me right at deadline, producing a tie which we don't know how it would settle out. Doesn't sound much like trying to save me.

Lathum 05-18-2009 07:15 PM

click on the post number then cut and paste the link

Danny 05-18-2009 07:16 PM

But will that link to the post within the page or just to the post by itself? I want it to go the page and then adjust the browser to the post.

Thanks, but that's not what I am trying to do :)

Lathum 05-18-2009 07:22 PM

Then I cant help you

claphamsa 05-18-2009 07:22 PM

wow. wierd

Passacaglia 05-18-2009 07:24 PM

Won't quoting the post do that?

dubb93 05-18-2009 07:26 PM

Lerri was up to something. What he was up to I don't know. Sometime tomarrow I'll go through the posts for today and see if I can figure out what he was trying to do by self voting.

claphamsa 05-18-2009 07:27 PM

im guessing he had a legit stratgy,... wheather or not it will make sense in a week when the game is over.... well see :)

Passacaglia 05-18-2009 08:05 PM

I took lathum's link, but changed 'showpost' to 'showthread'

Passacaglia 05-18-2009 08:06 PM

And why did I do that, if Danny figured it out? Good question.

I was thinking this, too -- then thinking that's what he wanted us to think. Maybe he simply thought that dying would help the wolves, since he was a villager, so he might as well? Also, Telle's right that the run on her started after he voted himself.

hoops, I have another q for you -- where am I on your trust list currently?

Because you care :)

Well here is the thing and I think it is pretty damning for Telle. Why not vote her to try and save himself earlier?

At best he kills a villager and at worst he goes anyway?

I don't get the play.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 08:18 PM

Nice result, good to not have to worry about the sympathizer. The best thing about our lynches is even when we've hit villagers, they weren't exactly vital to us. We've got a seer with potentially 4 scans after tonight if they survive? That's gotta be some helpful info there.

At the moment, neutral to mild distrust. But I'm going to see if that changes after reviewing tonight's votes.

I don't think we learn much about the wolves from today since the wolves don't know the Sympathizer. So I think that Autumn's feeling that "it was too easy" to build a consensus on Lerri was exactly right.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 09:13 PM

I really don't know what to think of Telle at this point.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 09:25 PM

So Lathum, when the hell is your "ability" going to help us? Because the longer nothing happens, the more suspect you look.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 09:29 PM

Do we have lerriuqs voting history handy? Obviously day one is irrelevant, but by day 2 or 3 he could've learned something.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 09:30 PM

I suppose these questions can be answered after the night deadline is processed, not trying to throw info out for wolves, simply just got back and throwing some thoughts out.

Poli 05-18-2009 09:35 PM

Will someone please listen to me and help me get out Telle?

Poli 05-18-2009 09:36 PM

At least we got rid of the sympathizer, though I have no earthly idea what to think of what "licorice" was doing.

Poli 05-18-2009 09:36 PM

Speaking of "earthly". I highly recommend watching Star Trek, even if you're watching it on your birthday alone.

I watched it with my dad on his birthday, and I concur. Great movie.

Autumn 05-18-2009 09:48 PM

Lerriuqs counts as a wolf for win conditions, so why self-vote and risk himself? Surely he's a better loss than a real wolf, from his standpoint, but not a good loss overall. Clearly if he thought he was running against a wolf, but at the time he self-voted I think he was the clear vote getter. Perhaps he hoped it would be a sympathy ploy, or that we would buy the idea that he had a weird role, which I obviously was wondering?

Obviously at the end he was keen to maybe tie things up, but it did seem to me he was willing to risk Telle getting the ax. Let's put up a detailed voting history here.

DaddyTorgo 05-18-2009 09:49 PM

i'll listen to you tomorrow poli. nuff said

Danny 05-18-2009 09:49 PM

The sympathizer counts as a group member for win conditions.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking that then convinced myself otherwise. That makes more sense then.

like your one to talk.

Is this your way of probing for information so you can determine if you wanna kill me tonight?

I really don't like this question and I like it less in between phases.

You ever think it's part of my role and I can't say more about it?

No? I was just asking a question. I know my votes on PB don't look good, but I was just asking.. I haven't voted for you or come close yet, but the longer nothing happens the more likely it was that you were lying. I still think you're probably telling the truth and are a group member, but I wouldn't put it past you to make up a role to gain trust early.

No need to get offended..

The Jackal 05-18-2009 10:05 PM

And I even said you don't need to answer until after the NK, wtf.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 10:06 PM

Looking back on this game I guess I made mistakes voting for PB, and I should've trusted my gut since I never thought he was bad, but I'm a group member through and through and I want to makeup for the PB voting with finding wolves.

The Jackal 05-18-2009 10:08 PM

I suppose saying "when the hell" came off as hostile, didn't mean it to.
