Dodgerchick - You have claimed to hire Ardent several times. Can you backup what Anxiety is saying regarding scanning someone being unavailable when using a lawyer for defense/prosecution?

Narcizo 04-16-2007 01:20 AM

Um.... Wow!

Clearly I'm now in a position of immense power. Obviously this makes me very happy. However it also makes me a teensy weensy bit scared. For the good of the village I would suggest that I have to be scanned and protected today. It seems to me that the wolves have a plan to keep killing the tribune until they get one of their own in.

Secondly, I hope you got my message Chief. I didn't get a reply so I'm not sure but with st cronin away I suspect that the message got to you too late for you to read it yesterday. I want to point out that I sent that message around the time I made my statement of who I bid on. Although I posted to state my arrest order I was not around to fully read what was being said. If I had I would not have followed the plan outlined to you. I'll state now that I did not get the service I bid on.

Those are two things I needed to post now. I'm going to review the happenings in more detail now.

Narcizo 04-16-2007 01:57 AM

Next, I apologise about Neon. (assuming Ardent isn't playing games with us - I can't verify that Neon was good by the way. It seems that you have to have been a lawyer for one day to get that info) My instinct told me he was our best shot at getting a wolf and we needed to get a trustworthy lawyer. Looks like I played right into the hands of the wolves. I feel very bad about it, not necessarily to Neon, who helped his cause almost as little as BS or ITC in my opinion, but bad for the villagers. I thought I was a good, if inexperienced, werewolf player until this game but this has really been a cold shower for those ideas.

Narcizo 04-16-2007 02:23 AM

Holy dola!

I've tried to work out who bid on what and how it should work out and I'm just completely confused. Ardent shooting up the wealth chart like that has completely thrown my reckoning out. It's annoying that I'm probably not going to get all the information until after I go to bed.

I'm glad it's someone else's job to pick arrests today I can tell you that for nothing.

I've been reading through and noticed this. Might as well field it now while - no Neon didn't miss a vote. However he did vote to re-elect Alan, a move that is illegal. I mentioned it to no avail, he only changed the vote when Alan pointed it out to him.

No biggy (I thought that we only had one consul vote for example) but just something I thought was slightly iffy when we had very little to work with.

Care to expand on that? To me it seemed the only arrest to make, almost everyone wanted it, herself included.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 03:19 AM

All right, lots of interesting stuff today. I feel bad about Neon, but there's not much we can do about that now.

I am going to try to go back to my plan and see if I can nail down again who ended up bidding for what. Then we'll see where we stand.

I'm shocked at the wolves' choice for poisoning. Perhaps they were aiming for someone they felt wouldn't be protected. You could reasonably guess that I, ardent or Narcizo would be protected, and the top three wealth people were all at some point under suspicion/being looked at in the past day cycle. So maybe it's not too much of a surprise. But I still am abit.

Frankly, I thought I made my last post in this game earlier today.

Narcizo, I did receive your message. So the horses work I guess, Still not sure if it does much good. Even given you would not have done what you did had you been around to read further, I will take it into consideration and see if it had any effect on things.

I do have the ability to send a response. My PM suggests you would get my message at the deadline tonight (Monday). So the horse thing (from bidding to sending a message to receiving a reply) really does take three days. Wow, that's a long time in WW.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 03:21 AM

BTW, very interested to hear CW's response to what Ironhead discovered.

Narcizo 04-16-2007 03:31 AM

So here we go

The following are the wealthiest men in Rome:

Ardentus Enthusiastus - Don't know
Kayus Whitus - Swordsman #2224

The following Senators are known as extremely wealthy:

Abeus Anxietus - Pimp Dude #2059
Dodgeus Erchickus - Ardent #2205
Passus Caglius - Vitus Avidus #2069
Pathus Twelveus - Ardent #2275 - Failed #2340

The following Senators are known as moderately wealthy:

Coffeus Yakus Warlordus - Swordsman #2071. Failed #2294
Grammus Atticus - Swordsman #2206. Failed #2328

Autumn - Failed on Ardent #2327
Ironhead - Failed on Senna #2331

Narcizo 04-16-2007 03:32 AM

Nice bit of cut and pasting there Narc. :o

Narcizo 04-16-2007 03:37 AM

Chief you're not going to be around much today correct?

Narcizo 04-16-2007 04:00 AM

So what do we have. Presuming no one is lying.

Ardent must have philosopher. Otherwise Senna would have fallen to Ironhead.
KWhit must have the swordsman. Ardent must have the philosopher so no-one can outbid KWhit.
Anxiety must have the pimp. Same story here. Ardent must have taken the philosopher.
DC must have Ardent. Same again. It's her or Ardent.
Pass must have the bodyguard.

Which means that it's pretty clear that I've been lying. I didn't take the bodyguard. I was trying to set up the wolfs by bidding for another service. At the time I thought that DC wasn't playing ball so there was a danger of the service dropping. I thought that if I put in a bid and no-one claimed him then we'd catch someone out. This is the plan I outlined to Chief Rum. A plan I concocted yesterday afternoon (my time). I trusted Chief because he came up with the plan which I think is a good one. I figured it was worth the risk. It might give a wolf Chief some ammo to use on me but it might also help us catch a wolf.

Which means there's a very good chance that we've only got one bodyguard today. Unless DT or Mustang bid on him.

I give up. I suck at this.

Keep in mind the bids are done off of yesterday's wealth list, not the new one today. I think most if what you have there is still true, but there are some changes, and some different conclusions.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 04:20 AM

BTW, never officially said. I did not win the sex slaves today.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 04:27 AM

ORIGINAL PLAN

Dodgeus Erchickus-- Bid for MACRO, the sword killer
Kayus Whitus-- Bid for ARDENT, lawyer
Abeus Anxietus-- Bid for DURUS PIMPUS, sex slave dealer

Ironus Headus-- Bid for MAXIMUS MAXIMUS, legionnaire/BG
Passus Caglius-- Bid for VITUS AVIDUS, legionnaire/BG

Coffeus Yakus Warlordus-- Bid for MACRO, the sword killer
Pathus Twelvus-- Bid for ARDENT, lawyer

Narcizo and I are in the next wealth group, so we should submit backup bids as well. I will bid for the sex slave dealer, if Narcizo will bid for one of the legionnaires/BGs.

I would welcome backup bid commitments from Autumn, Barkeep and Peregrine...

***

Actual reported bids:

Dodgerchick-- ardent lawyer (#2165 & #2205)
Kwhit-- sword killer (#2224)
Anxiety-- sex slaves (#2088)

Ironhead-- balbus senna philosopher (#2269)--changed from maximus maximus bodyguard (#2194)
Passacaglia-- vitus avidus bodyguard (#2069)

Who has said they have or have not received what they bid for. I have bolded whom we haven't heard yet what they got, if anything:

Dodgerchick-- ardent lawyer (#2165 # 2205)
Kwhit-- sword killer (#2224)
Anxiety-- sex slaves (#2088)[/b]

Ironhead-- balbus senna philosopher (#2269)--changed from maximus maximus bodyguard (#2194)-- DID NOT GET BALBUS SENNA
Passacaglia-- vitus avidus bodyguard (#2069)

Coffee Warlord-- sword killer (#2065 & #2071)-- DID NOT GET SWORD KILLER (#2294)
path12-- ardent lawyer (#2276)-- DID NOT GET ARDENT (#2340)

Narcizo-- sword killer (private bid)--changed from maximus maximus bodyguard (#2159)-- DID NOT GET SWORD KILLER (#2353 &2364)
Chief Rum-- sex slaves (#2059)-- DID NOT GET SEX SLAVES (#

Barkeep-- suggested he would bid on someone; actual bid not listed
Peregrine-- sex slaves (#2164)-- KILLED BY POISON

Grammaticus-- sword killer (#2206)-- DID NOT GET SWORD KILLER (#2328)

Note: Faustus Felix apparently fell to Tyrith.

Analysis coming shortly.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 04:28 AM

Oops, Dodgerchick/Kwhit/Anxiety should be bolded as not having said if they received their services or not.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 04:37 AM

If we believe Ironhead (I do), there is a definite Tarq in the following group:

Dodgerchick
KWhit
Anxiety

Passacaglia
Coffee Warlord
path12

Ironhead bid on Balbus Senna and did not get him. Only these six had the possible ability to outbid him for Senna. Which means the Tarqs may have control of a conversion skill tonight.

CW and path have said they did not get their bids. We have not heard from the other four (about their bids anyway). We had bids for the sword killer, sex slaves and ardent not get past this group, judging from bids from the next tier not coming through, so for sure, those three are also in this group. If the top three did as they said they would, they will be the three with those services.

Keep in mind nothing here says there isn't more than one Tarq in this group either. But for sure, there is one.

BTW, the odds are slim my Day One sword killer patron and the Balbus Senna usurper are one and the same, but path12 is the only one of the above who appeared on both lists. I haven't yet decided how far to think that out yet.

Chief Rum 04-16-2007 04:38 AM

I'm out for the night. I will submit votes and a new plan in the morning. I will incorporate ardent's already submitted bid.

Sorry. Didn't realise that. I'm going to redo this in the same format then, just because I think it's a bit clearer. And I want the glory of having my list quoted and altered.

The wealthiest men in Rome are:
Abeus Anxietus - Bid Pimp Bloke #2088/#2200 -
Dodgeus Erchickus - Bid Ardent #2205
Kayus Whitus - Bid Swordsman #2224

The following Senators are known to be extremely wealthy:
Coffeus Yakus Warlordus - Bid Swordsman #2071. Failed #2294.
Ironus Headus - Bid Senna #2269. Failed #2331
Passus Caglius - Bid Vitus Avidus #2069
Pathus Twelvus - Bid Ardent #2275. Failed #2340

The following Senators are of moderate wealth:
Autumnus Leavus - Failed on Ardent #2327
Barkeepus Valerius Fortynineus - Vote Ardent #2192.
Chiefus Rumus - Bid Pimp #2059 Failed #2370
Narcizus Lispus - [Bid Swordsman]Failed #2353.

The following (remaining) Senators are of ordinary wealth for the Senatorial class:
Ardentus Enthusiastus - ?
Chubbus Chubbus - couldn't bid
Daddyus Torgous - ?
Grammus Atticus - Bid Swordsman #2206. Failed #2328
Mustangus Sallus - ?
Tyrus Ithus - Fastus Felix #2314

I'm keeping completely out of the conjecture side until we have more data but CR's right. it appears that someone in the top seven is lying. And lying about the philosopher. Which, if I've read correctly and I'm not banking on it, means that there's a good chance of there being a conversion today.

Poli 04-16-2007 05:32 AM

Okay, almost in bed.

True enough, ardent. I didn't include senators in the lowest wealth tier. Didn't seem to be any point. Obviously, you are most definitely in the plan today.

Which bodyguard did you bid for?

Just following up here. Can anyone confirm this? It would help on a number of levles. Thanks.

So my deductions from the first list was right about Ardent - just the result wasn't :D

Poli 04-16-2007 05:41 AM

Poli 04-16-2007 05:44 AM

So Ironhead fails with Senna, and the slaves fall through to CR, but he doesn't get them. Someone who said they bid on me or the swordsman above CR is lieing then.

I wonder if it's CW.

Poli 04-16-2007 05:46 AM

Can we believe CW fell that much by just losing a lawsuit?

Claims he swung and missed. Ardent coming forward means that we know that it's very unlikely Ironhead placed his bid elsewhere. Given the vibes I've been getting from Ironhead I put him as the least likliest to be the liar in that group of seven.

Poli 04-16-2007 06:00 AM

Just seeing how the +/- on the list went since I noticed CW's plunge. Granted CW made a big deal about dropping as well.

Ardentus Enthusiastus +12, not surprising, I won a ton of suits.
Kayus Whitus +1, interesting he climbs a spot while Anxiety and DC drop 1
Abeus Anxietus -2, from 1st to 3rd while winning my service
Dodgeus Erchickus -2, from 2nd to 4th while NOT winning my service
Passus Caglius +1
Pathus Twelveus +1
Barkeepus Valerius Fortynineus +2
Coffeus Yakus Warlordus -4...interesting.
Grammus Atticus +7
Ironus Headus -5, while losing out on his bid.
Narcizus Lispus 0
Autumnus Leavus -3
Chiefus Rumus -2
Chubbus Chubbus +1
Daddus Torgous -1 I think now that Gramm climbed
Mustangus Sallus 2nd to last now with NC's death
Tyrus Ithus still last

From Saturday morning:

He only fell one level. If he was near the bottom of the second level then it's possible that he fell to the third level, and might have done so without being sued at all as we've lost more people.

I've just thought of something and I want this out there now. If there's a conversion ability I'm the prime target for a conversion attempt. We need to scan me tomorrow. :)

Ardent, the list isn't an exact guide. We don't know where people are in comparison to others within their wealth category - it's done in alphabetical order. However I'm going to stick my neck out and say that you're now the wealthiest among us.

Poli 04-16-2007 06:12 AM

This doesn't, however, take into account the other lawsuits...and I'll look more into that either during my workday or after I get home...depends on if I'm running around somewhere or sitting in the office again.
