I grew up just barely south of that photograph range. Pelee Island is a remarkable place for birdwatching, oddly enough. Maybe more so with an algal overgrowth.

If you've been reading my dynasty you've seen some cool pics. I swore years ago that I'd stop posting in this thread, but this is an exception. I snapped this picture flying west in the early morning. The horizon is low, not where the colors are. The colors start high in the sky as the sun rises from behind, while the Earth is still in darkness. The big shadow on the left is where the light is being blocked by some big thunderstorms that we had passed. This entire picture was only available for a few minutes as the sun was rising. It's an incredibly rare and cool shot that the average person will never get to see in their lifetime.

MizzouRah 09-15-2015 09:48 PM

That's a really cool picture PilotMan!

Aerial shot of Star Wars hanger location being built for movie. You can see the Millennium Falcon at the far end. X-wings covered in blue tarps.

Grover 10-01-2015 01:41 PM

Hmmm. Yavin IV?

Looks like a Landspeeder under the white tarp, maybe a B-Wing in front.

Alf 10-01-2015 02:36 PM

That's what I call a cool image indeed !

Draft Dodger 10-01-2015 05:46 PM

that's no crane...

tarcone 10-01-2015 06:01 PM

Are you sure that's the Star Wars set? Or is it a secret government facility using alien technology to build new jets? And the Falcon is just a decoy.

I wonder.

whomario 10-05-2015 02:18 PM

speaking of aliens ...
