When I was in Ecuador I was staying in a bunkhouse in a jungle village. The room was maybe 15' by 10', with horizontal cross beams. I was sharing the room with our guide and we get in there after hiking into the village. We get set up and we notice on the wall this mud ball about the size of a football/soccer ball, with what looked like sticks poking out of it, underneath one of the horizontal cross braces. We asked the local guide what it was and he said not to worry, it was a bird eating spider, but it doesn't bother people. It only comes out at night when it hunts bats in the rafters of the building. The guy I was sharing the room with wanted to try and smash it, I told him not to because I figured that if he missed this thing would come after us alien style. At night we tucked the mosquito netting in as tight as possible and would occasionally turn our headlamps on too see if it was there. Once we discovered it was out hunting it was pretty hard to sleep. It was a very long couple of nights in the jungle.

These folks are friends of a friend. Through the mutual friend, we've gone to a few Penguins games together when I've got extra seats. Great couple, with a little guy who's had a rough first few years. Hunter spends a good deal of time in his chair.

Thisi is what I've been working on at the college for the past two months. Aside from directing,the set is my design. I'm a so-so designer at best, but I'm pretty proud of this, especially hubcap Texas.

Yesterday, they dedicated the new shrine room at the USS Arizona Memorial. Can't wait to go see it.

A local WW2 vet died recently. He was at Pearl Harbor. His family found a canister of film that wasnt developed. The family gave it to the VFW, who had t developed.
The film was pictures of the aftermath of the attack on Pearl. 5 pictures are on display at our Middle School.

They are awesome.
