I REALLY want to send people out to explore-I think the flatlands would be pretty safe, but you are right, the explorers need to have some protection and a way to defend themselves.

okay here is what I would like to hear from my fellow colonists today:

-If anyone is starving, let me know immediately so we can find a way to help you.
-if you have been holding on to information that could help us until you could tell the Leader privately or for other reasons, please tell me today as my "term" might be short. We now have ways to protect you that we didn't have at the start if you feel your life may be in jeopardy.
-contribute in the discussions of the day and feel free to bring up new issues you think we need to discuss. I am going to be more suspicious of those who stay quiet.
-if you feel that you are being underused/not used at all, speak up, but politely please-give me suggestions where you could be of use.
To section leaders:

-I am going to rely heavily on you to keep me up to date on what is happening in your section-that means details on new discoveries, any suspicious results from work on various projects (someone tampering with or trying to sabotage a project)

-letting me know who you will and especially who will NOT be used so I can use them in other projects as necessary. I think you guys should be the ones to do the official nominations rather than me since its your section not mine.

-let me know what project/area of research you have available each day, and which you are thinking of doing. I may disagree and ask you to consider another, but the final decision is yours. You section leaders have been good at doing this so far, so not expecting problems here.

I also think there's merit in having weaponry before we explore places, even if by not exploring we're kind of in the dark. But rushing out to unknown places without methods of defending yourself seems foolish.

my general schedule:

I likely will be here late mornings, mid-afternoon, and after dinner-time most days. I will inform you if I'm going to be away from the computer for long periods of time (tomorrow or Friday afternoon will likely be one). I am on EST here in America.

What exactly do you want to know Autumn? I can tell you I established martial law IC because I felt I had to with Font forgetting to post confirmations and such. As I stated from the beginning, I was looking to be the leader. I didn't tell you the why-it was one of my OOC victory conditions to become the leader. That's why I came on so strong at the beginning-which is so different than how I usually play. And its how I felt a retired general should be played.

I have no victory conditions left now, so I don't necessarily have to stay in power even though my character would want to stay. I have no conflict with Font-she was given a very tough job to do, and has made it easier for me and for all of you to do our jobs going forward. I just think there is one way I will be a better leader than Font-my activity level will be higher than hers.

You've seen from my previous posts today how much I would be involved-how much I've invested already in this character and game. And I want to see it through to the end. So I hope you trust me enough to be the leader going forward.

I'll be away from the computer for a couple hours or so now. Be glad to answer questions about anything when I come back.

Short of any adverse change to anyone's health, I would surmise only one doctor will be required to continue to heal Crimson Fox, the one colonist under health due to injury.

I would also figure that will either be me or Autumn. I don't know how Autumn grades out in his other skills. Since we're gathering supplies (likely), a poor Engineering skill won't likely keep me from being useful on such a mission. So Autumn can then heal CF.

If you need help working on projects, though, I would guess Autumn will be better at Engineering than me, meaning I would stick around and watch over CF.

Either way, I don't need ntndeacon, so if he could offer to help you in some way.

I think this is an opportunity for those that are not confident in either Thomkal or Font to express their displeasure for them in this vote. I suggest we also have an option to vote no confidence for our current leadership.

Considering my physical skills I would like to continue to assist with groups goal of gather supplies.

Thomkal, I would like you to remove GoldenEagle from the Engineering team and appoint The Jackal.

Thomkal - Use me as you see fit. I have no information to provide, and as has been obvious I am not much use in our medical, scientific, or engineering efforts.

My background was falsified in an attempt to make a run for sheriff which was my original goal. As the passenger manifest may or may not reveal, I am not a private investigator. I am pretty much just a bruiser, so you can assign me to any physical tasks that are required.

As long as weapons aren't in the picture, I should be pretty capable for any offensive or defensive assignments. Which basically means I should be able to stand my ground in a brawl, but going hand to hand against a gun would probably nullify anything I bring to the table.

Not sure what else I can offer. Looks like I am best used for grunt work at the current time.

Not much I can offer outside of the social/political realm. I have decent physical ability so I can do grunt work but I'm not cut out for anything role specific. I hesitate to say I could be a good #2 because it looks like I'm angling and/or it would put a target on my back but my skills say I that's just about the only place I'm worth a damn.

Does anyone else get the feeling there's more to this decision than just a simple leader vote? I may just be paranoid but this game has my guard up.

This list is still fairly accurate of my thoughts. Those not listed have appeared to act in the interests of the colonists. Doesn't mean much but that's how I see it.

WTF. I've been voting in the interest of the colonists the ENTIRE time. I've warned the group of running out of supplies and have stayed consistant with my voting throughout the process. If anyone should be on this list it's you. You've consistantly vilified me for looking out for the colony's best interest!

That's the question he keeps skirting every time I ask him how I'm any different than anyone else. We all have secrets we are keeping, but because I was trying to lead our colony I'm vilified.

No, but I feel like I should have been able to pick my team. That was not the case as it was with the Science Dept.
