It is true, you learn something new every day. |

I still can't get Van Dam's swaying hips out of my mind. Perhaps there is something more to his hips than just face value.

I'd vote for the middle guy. |

The D&D ad? I didn't get it. |
I think all there is to get is the idea that they're pitching D&D as some cool alternative to being a juvenile delinquent. PLus they think that kind in overalls is cool.

The kids are still smiling in the ad. Obviously they haven't met the fury of the hermit yet. |

![]() I was in the convenience store this morning, and saw some JCVD movie where he froze a guy and then kicked him to pieces. Nifty. He should have done this dance afterward. |
Quote:
Hmm...sure you're not thinking about Sly Stallone in Demolition Man? |
No, it was definitely JCVD. I've only seen a couple of his movies, so not sure which one it was. Looked like it had a sci-fi bent to it.
|
Why on earth is JCVD doing that gay ass clap every few seconds?
Oh wait, it's JCVD. |

They're kicking a little "Keep on the Borderlands" in the background. Very nice. |

Was the Boston PD down there to investigate it as a possible terror threat? SI |

I think at the end of Timecop he freezes the bad guy and shatters him. |
Quote:
isn't that the ending of demolition man? :D |

It was almost but not quite the ending of Terminator 2 as well. And probably a billion other scifi movies. |
What movie wouldn't be made better by somebody getting frozen then shattered? :)
Heck, they even did it in Heroes. |
Quote:
Karate Kid would have. Imagine if Daniel's leg was frozen and then Johnny swept it. |

That's the movie I felt was being ripped off as I watched it. |

I thought he threw the guy into the other version of the guy and they destroyed each other because you can't have the same matter in the same place at the same time or something like that. |

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure they froze first before disintegrating. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Really there are so many freakin' scifi movies with freezing guys shattering that I'm pretty sure JCVD was in at least one if not more, especially given all the low-budget fare he's in these days...) |
Actually, I was going to comment on one of these in the 'V' thread. In the original there was a scene where a worker was handling or exposed to liquid gas, it froze his arm, then he bumped it into a pole/rail and it shattered off. Freaked me out.

I'll have to wait for them to show it on Spike again, to be sure. ;) |
