I hate to get into a political discussion on here, but no, it's not even close to true.

The poster is from 1956, when the bastion of racism in the U.S. was ensconced in the Southern Democrat Party.

It wasn't until 1964 or so, when MLK Jr. blasted Republican Barry Goldwater, that the GOP began getting a reputation for the "home of the rednecks." Before that, at the time of the poster, the GOP was known more as "the party that freed the slaves."

The idea that GOP is racist and Dems are liberators isn't historically even remotely true - in fact, the flip opposite of reality, until Goldwater/MLK/LBJ began radically shifting perceptions in the U.S.

It's pretty lame to post political stuff in here but it is also pretty lame about the crackdown on good looking women as well so I guess they go hand in hand. Seems like there are enough divisive topics on this board that the images thread could do without the boring back and forth.
