I really hate this rejailing idea.

Poli 04-14-2007 06:44 AM

So, Narc, make a decision?

The idea is for someone to hire the attorney to check them out.

People have suggested hiring the attorneys to cross-check each other and I think that is a fine idea. The other "best" option is to scan the people who are headed to jail so we can get an easy innocent/guilty vote. This is even more effective if we have two people going to jail.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:03 AM

Yeah, I don't buy that actually happening, either. Too many variables. As in, more than one.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:04 AM

Off to nap a bit, be back in a few hours.

Chubby 04-14-2007 07:04 AM

I'm just a loyal senator, nothing more nothing less I'm afraid :(

Poli 04-14-2007 07:05 AM

Welcome, Chubby. Have fun navigating the thread. I hope you received a summary before jumping in. If not, good luck.

I think that is true for whatever person we arrest.

Ardent, if you were in this spot who would you jail?

Narcizo 04-14-2007 07:15 AM

Narcizo seems to be leaning heavily toward arresting Neon (a move I disagree with actually), but he hasn't outright stated that's what he will do. You were the first to make that sort of commitment.

So I figured I would want him to know. :)

Sorry guys. I have sent in the order to arrest Neon. I was pretty tired and being stressed last night. I thought I had come out and said it but I hadn't. And I did mention re-arresting LoneStarChubby so that could have caused confusion. Sorry for the lost ten minutes Hoops.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:16 AM

Honestly, that's what my message to you was about. I was hoping you'd receive it during this day instead of at the end of it.

My original message to you was Barkeep and Path.

However, barkeep's explanation works with me. I don't believe he'd bring outside influences into the game.

I would not rejail Chubby. It's going to end up being the same deal.

If Narc jails Neon, go ahead and jail me.

Otherwise, I'm fine with Path or Tyrith.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:16 AM

Well, there you have it.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:18 AM

I guess jailing both of us isn't such a grand idea after thinking about it. I doubt Neon's going to be able to look into anyone.

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 07:20 AM

Yeah, jailing both attorneys is extremely risky. And if he is going to be jailed then it almost forces your hand to view him.

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 07:20 AM

Well, forces the hiring person to view Neon since you (AE) don't get to pick your client.

Poli 04-14-2007 07:21 AM

Alright, seriously, nap time.

pms are next, I'm going to go through the thread first, so give me a few minutes.

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:21 AM

Interesting - haven't crunched the numbers yet but it appears that lawsuit results basically flipped. Wonder what this means?

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:23 AM

Upon further review, flipped for KWhit. Other results look more expected.

Lorena 04-14-2007 08:29 AM

Oh that's nice a 9 am deadline. I hired ardent but didn't send a PM, sorry about that.

st.cronin 04-14-2007 08:31 AM

pms coming

So he's reached a certain level of wealth, apparently, and is going to have trouble moving higher. Interesting.

Lorena 04-14-2007 08:39 AM

I might have chosen the wrong game to play I just can't keep up with everything. Maybe putting me out of my misery is the best thing to do, feel free to jail and execute me.

Yeah, talk about a bad time to not send a PM. This is the first time out of how many games have I played? About 15 or so that I missed a vote or in this case, sending a crucial PM... I feel really bad about that :mad::mad:

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:44 AM

I didn't mean it like that, DC. It is just that the lawyers seem to be the only seer options and without their information we are really handicapped. So having hired him and not exercising that option is a lousy outcome. Plus hiring him leaves the killer at large below you for others to acquire.

st.cronin 04-14-2007 08:44 AM

pms sent - as always, if you do not receive one, you were outbid

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:45 AM

So, we can publish Day 4 updates on services now.

Barkeep, as long as you are around - I have not recorded you posting any of your attempted actions for Days 1-4.

st.cronin 04-14-2007 08:46 AM

The following Senators have been murdered:

Hoopsguy, by poison
Antmeister, by sword

The following Senators are in jail:
Chubbus Chubbus
Neonus Chaosus

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:49 AM

:+(

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 08:49 AM

I obviously need work on my emoticon skills.

Good game, all. I'll be watching with interest.

st.cronin 04-14-2007 08:50 AM

The Consul of Rome is:
Narcizus Lispus

The Tribune of the Plebs is:

Peregrinus Barbarus (will have temporary Consular authority for one day)

Barkeep49 04-14-2007 08:53 AM

At least we have two choices to chose from today.

Doh!

Barkeep49 04-14-2007 08:56 AM

Ok I'm going to go ahead and suggest we need to be executing every day with two options. Builds a voting record amongst other things.

So I'm going to go ahead and Vote to execute Neon

I've found him quite suspicious frankly.

st.cronin 04-14-2007 08:57 AM

Well that's odd, I won three lawsuits and I dropped way, way down in money. Oh well, at least we have two choices today, finally.

Lorena 04-14-2007 09:08 AM

Wow Kwhit, you've done very well for yourself, weren't you like at the bottom when we started this thing?

Primer:

With two Senators jailed, the rules are slightly different. Whichever Senator gets a majority of the votes to execute, will be executed. Everybody must vote to execute one of the players in jail - failure to cast a vote will be considered an abstention.

You must also vote two new Consuls today. Players that have served prior terms are eligible - the only Senators ineligible are Peregrineus and Narcizus.

Barkeep49 04-14-2007 09:17 AM

Last time I voted for CW. My trust of him as slipped since then. I'm really at a lost about who I trust at the moment and am struggling with which way to cast my vote for consul. I'll be interested in hearing who comes forward as a nominee.

Ironhead 04-14-2007 09:25 AM

I bid on and won the services of Furius Lucius - there willl be no sword kill against the village this day.

I find it incredibly curious that despite the obvious fact that having the sword kill in the hands of the village is INCREDIBLY important the people in the top tier of wealth do not seem to be targeting him. Why the hell is that?

Poli 04-14-2007 09:42 AM

Sorry to hear about Antmeister and Hoops. :(

Poli 04-14-2007 09:43 AM

Someone sent me sex slaves. I'm guessing the bad guys think that will keep me from investigating. :(

Poli 04-14-2007 09:43 AM

I bid on the 2nd legionaire. I didn't get him.

Poli 04-14-2007 09:43 AM

Vote AE for Consul.

Poli 04-14-2007 09:44 AM

Throw Neon Chaos off the rock.

I think I have to vote for one or the other. :(
