So Alan, what if upon Spleen's death we find out he truly was of the light... what then?

Then I guess all of the poor horses in the stable won't be cared for any more :(

Like I said I already assume there are 2-3 villagers left in the uncleared list, -maybe- spleen is one of them. However his slip up seems to leave hiim as the best to be tested today.

Then tonight our seers (all of them!) get to scan a new person and we get to do this all over again.

Whatever its worth right now I feel ntndeacon is most likely to be wolf out of those left, but spleen is the safest play as he messed up, is not vouched for and has a role that we don't get hurt if we lose. (ie not a seer, bodyguard, etc)

ntndeacon 11-10-2006 03:17 PM

Vote Spleen

As others have said the slip up is at least suspicious. Plus it will keep the pressure on others and allows me to continue to live. (I admit this is a selfish vote :) I want to live.)

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:21 PM

Ntn, do you have any reveals to make? Are you on the side of light?

BrianD 11-10-2006 03:22 PM

Well, I wanted to show that I was willing to vote for Ntndeacon, which I have. I will be willing to tomorrow as well. I also don't want to make it look like I am trying to protect Spleen...who I've voted for before.

Unvote Ntndeacon
Vote Spleen

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:23 PM

Brian D, I wouldn't mind hearing that you on the side of light, as well... :)

Not sure how voting for ntndeacon on a day when most of the people who are interested in voting for ntndeacon are on a different candidate shows you are interested in voting him when he never was in danger :)

If you are still interested tommorrow though perhaps we can take you up on that offer :)

You are probably confusing him with his evil twin brother, Nob... er, I mean Lob. :D

Alright. So can you tell us when you found out the gossip you're now sharing with us?

Jonathan Ezarik 11-10-2006 03:25 PM

Play through the pain, DT. Play through the pain. :)

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:25 PM

Interesting that ntndeacon disappears immediately after me asking him to clearly state he is on the side of light.

It may have been a silly move, but you were talking about all the people who were afraid to tough ntn. I didn't want to just jump on Spleen and make it look like I was still trying to avoid ntn.

I will be willing to vote for ntn tomorrow.

I am on the side of light.

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:30 PM

Brian, can you clearly state that you are on the side of light?

I would like to use my ability to check a truth during the day to add you to the circle of trust.

sure!

night 1 I didn't get any gossip other than stuff which helped me understand Izulde's role a bit. It appears all of the "gossip" I hear is a day delayed.

night 2 I found out Lathum was ok. You can see this evident on day 3 with my behavior change torwards him as well as dropping hints to him that I already showed. I also found out Daddy Torgo seems ok. I've dropped him hints but not sure if he has found them yet or not.

Night 3 I found out that I was ok! (That helps me alot), and found out Swaggs was ok. I dropped hints for Swaggs which I have shown to you all.

Last night I found out that Jonathan and Grammaticus were ok. I have dropped both of them hints, but I havent seen much of Grammaticus to even know if he has seen it.

Do you get this ability during the day or is it a night action?

I saw that right after I revealed that last bit. Perhaps I should have kept it quiet a bit longer and made the same offer to ntndeacon. Still thinking it through.

Thomkal 11-10-2006 03:34 PM

Okay folks, I am here. Not 100%, but here. I am trying to catch up gods know how many pages from the time I went to bed last night until now. So bear with me

If you want to save us some angst, you can tell us who you scanned and the results of it before you spend the time to catch up. I'm sure we will have alot to say about it.

1) Who did you (Thomkal) scan last night?

2) What was the result of your scan last night?

3) What is your character name, race and role title?

If you choose to not answer these questions, I will choose to not believe your story any longer.

If you choose to lie about any of it, I'm sure I'll find out.

Yes, you definitely did.

Ntndeacon on the other hand, flaked out and did not answer. I'm hoping he does before the lynching deadline. If he wants to clear his name and give us a good direction to look to tomorrow, after I am presumably dead, he should tell us, very clearly, that he is on the side of light.

Did you already find information back? Or just from his willingness to say that?

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:48 PM

Alan, do you think this confirms that ntndeacon is on the darkside?

I haven't yet. I am suspicious of ntndeacon, since he disappeared so quickly after me asking him to say he is on the side of light.

Swaggs 11-10-2006 03:50 PM

I wonder what the odds are on Thomkal having viewed Blade last night...

Grammaticus 11-10-2006 03:52 PM

Been slammed with work.

I think Spleen’s story about hiding and being able to avoid night actions is sounding like crap. He probably made it up from playing in the tombstone game (Anxiety’s actor role). But even the actor role in that game had a risk with using the role. Put the Nob, to Hob name reveal along with the fact it should have been Bob is icing on the cake.

VOTE SPLEEN

Tyrith and LSG are sounding like they are bad too.

LSG, what method do you use to make your scans?

I’m going to try to stay caught up with the posts, but will leave around 5pm and likely not be back until after lynch.

It doesn't really affect my view of either person to be honest. I already had ntn most suspected, and this behavior in my mind just adds to my suspicion of him.

I've voted for him the past 2 days, so you don't really have to convince me much at this point.

As for brianD, its definitly better than him not answering it. For the record i was a wolf once and pulled the stunt where I said something like that for a soothsayer to scan with the hope that they would take my willingness to do it as trust and choose someone else, and they did fall for it.

So My personal opinion is that Brian D is more trusted than Ntn, but that was the case before this. I would still scan Brian's statement before putting him into the CoT though. And as for ntndeacon, I already plan on voting him tommorrow unless something amazing happens.

I'm trying to decide exactly how to say what I'm about to say. I think this is the best way:

Hello folks, your friendly neighborhood GM is here checking in. I want to discuss some current votes real quick, and then I'll nip back out of your hair.

If you want to vote for someone because of a valid, in game reason, then feel encouraged. Feel free. If you want to vote for someone because of a feeling or a sense of the person based on their posts, feel free.

However, please do NOT base that vote on outside information, such as what an authentic Tolkien name might be and so forth. That's outside the bounds.

-Abe

I can understand that, just was playing devil's advocate is all since he could be hedging on your trust of his willingness to let you scan him as a way to get past the scan and gain trust.

Or he could really be a good guy.

Except that by setting it in the Middle Earth world, that which is the lore has now, by extension, become part of the in-game. It's true that either side can win without anyone knowing anything about ME, but I still believe that knowledge of it can be an added bonus.

No he didn't flake out he finished talking to a student in his office then shut off his computer without seeing said question. Answering it 30 min later when he was again in front of a computer.

Thomkal 11-10-2006 04:15 PM

Well I'm only on page 36, stop posting so much people! :) So let me just post who I viewed last night and why since you all need to know that.

I viewed Grammaticus last night. I had several people to choose from, but chose Gram because I was suspicious of his change in vote to save me since he wasn't one of the three people I had viewed as good, and just wanted to make sure he was on our side. I am happy to report Grammaticus is on the side of Light. So I thank you for saving me last night.

Sure.

What he is telling you is that using the fact that my name doesn't match the pages of a book is a poor reason to vote for me and you shouldn't do it.

I'm telling you guys, I'm a good guy and my name not matching the book has no bearing on the game.
