This thread really looses a lot of its value when viewing it through the firewall at work.

I can't even see turkeygirl.

It's a picture of her carving a turkey. The word breasts comes to mind for some reason.

Evolves Pikachu into Raichu, but you can normally force an evolution to cancel by pushing the B button.

bhlloy 11-29-2009 07:36 PM

I'm not sure I care, but why wouldn't you want Pikachu to evolve?

He's considered such a signature character that even evolving which would change his look has been deemed a big no no. Even if he would be a more powerful character in doing so. It would be similar in "evolving" Mickey Mouse, or let's say Bart Simpson at this point.

My wife actually caused a minor neighborhood mom flare-up by making fun of the Twilight Moms phenomena on her Facebook page. She didn't realize that one of the other moms in the neighborhood had been planning a Twilight Party (not sure of all of the details, but apparently the Twilightinis were delicious). Needless to say, my wife did not get an invite.

Dude, you're NRA membership might be revoked simply by writing that phrase. I am not sure. I will have to check the charter.

I checked with John Milius, NRA board member and the man behind such classics as Conan the Barbarian and Red Dawn. He told me I can say ten "Wolverines!" and absolve myself.

DataKing 12-01-2009 11:17 AM

Shout them from the top of a boulder while waving an AK-47 in the air...such absolution requires a lot more than just "saying" it ten times.

Excellent. That sounds fair. You may want to throw in one "What is good in life, Conan?" reponse just for good measure.

CamEdwards 12-01-2009 11:40 AM

LOL. BTW, the "twilightinis were delicious" is an exact quote from the facebook page of one of the moms who attended.

I'm also thinking about hosting a "Lolita" party for the neighborhood dads just to mess with the Twilight Moms. :)

Yeah, i saw them last summer off Victoria, unbelievable :) Been reading like every book on them in the last 5 to 6 years, itīs just fascinating how diverse they are (most closest to humans in terms of having different culture) and went on 2 boat tours when i was in Canada (one from vancouver and one from victoria).
You typically absolutely donīt come as close, arenīt allowed (rightfully so) unless you travel in a direction or are stopped and they come closer (then of course it would do more harm than good to coldstart the engine to get away from them).
Still, even from a distance and seeing the more stealthy variant of Orca (transients aka the seal-eating population as oposed to the resident fish-eaters who are more tolerant to observers) itīs amazing how freaking gracious and huge they are.

DaddyTorgo 12-03-2009 12:27 PM

yeah.

i've been on whale-watching trips out of Boston here out to Georges Bank. And also from Hawaii - both primarily to see humpbacks. In fact we have a picture from Hawaii...one humpback literally came right up alongside the boat and people were reaching over to the extent that if it had raised a flipper it would have "shook hands." I think we've got a picture somewhere...not digitized though probably yet (this was...17 years ago).

DaddyTorgo 12-03-2009 12:28 PM

also went snorkeling with the sea turtles in hawaii...had one brush up against my leg...that freaked me the fuck out.

Kodos 12-03-2009 12:30 PM

When we were in Maui for our honeymoon, we had some dolphins swim past us. Of course, my wife was like "Are you sure they're not sharks?!" :D
