Now, I request this thread and all its reponses be moved to the thread, "Surprise, Surprise, Another Cowboy In Trouble" |

Why do you need to get banned and have your account deleted to not be a part of the message board? Ever heard of just not coming here anymore? Sheesh, why do people have to be so frickin' melodramatic about stuff. |
I think the very best post in this thread was by Anrh---oh damnit, Buc!!!! :) Also others about company procedures and firings.
A major company like Dell will have a set standard of the way they fire people. The offenses for "IMMEDIATE" dismissal will be in your employee contract. I was a supervisor at a major periphial card vendor. I gave THREE weeks notice that I was moving back to Colorado. I met with HR within an hour and had my exit papers signed. I then talked to the president of the site and was told that I did a terrific job there (I had 4 promotions in my first 2+ years there) and that if I ever needed anything-including my old job, to give him a call. It was at that point I was told by HR that I would have 1 hour to say good-bye to everyone at the office and that I would have to be escorted by another supervisor around the building until I exited. I cannot imagine how Dell would be any different. A first warning for excessive internet usage will usually not get you fired. If they read all of the posts, they'd have also seen the pregnancy announcement and if Kyle was a well respected employee before this, they'd have shown mercy. The entire thing does not add up. That said, if someone really tried to get him fired, I think they need to get a life. Oh, and to Mel Kiper's hair: Just like the lawyer for the people who sue McDonalds for hot coffee? The actual case has a lot more merit than people think it does. Maybe you should actually read the case before you jump all over the medias assumption of it. (I had a lawyer explain this one to us in a journalism class to show how the media could twist stories, it isn't nearly as rediculous as the media made it out to be) Just like the criminal who sued when he got shot breaking into someone's house. In some states there is a make my day law where you can blow anyone in your house away. In others, you need justification to pull the trigger. I hate those states. I'd have pullen the trigger. Yet, the homeower broke the law by shooting a clearly unarmed intruder. Life sucks. Just like the guy who sued God? Case was thrown out in a week because God could not testify in his own defense. Suing gamespy? For what? Posting messages at work? Being so good of a message board that he had to keep posting? Give me a break. At the end of the day, I call "bullshit" as well. If it is true, I wish Kyle, Kevin, HM, NCAACrazy and all of the other aliases luck. TroyF |
Although I have never really been exposed to HM due to the fact I havent been at this board that long, I have read this entire thread and from it and other things of HMs I have read I have to agree with the notion that this is all bullshit and just his way of stirring the pot even after he was banned. I think he is getting a good laugh right now at the expense of everyone who is wishing him luck or praying for him. IMHO

Whew.....been out meeting with people from late morning until now. Just read this whole thing. I KNOW I won't remember everything I need to respond to, but here are a few comments:
1. This should NOT become a thread for a banned member to continue sending e-mails and responding publicly, however. He asked me to post his e-mail addy. I did so. If you feel the need to follow up with him about this to determine a feel for his veracity in the matter, the address is posted. 2. I had already un-banned some of the Dell IP's, because, as astralhaze has already mentioned, Horns isn't the only FOFC'er to have posted from Dell. Horns is, I'm fairly certain, aware of that fact. There's no reason he did this just to get me to un-ban the Dell accounts. 3. The e-mail wasn't "to SkyDog." It was sent to the FOFC community in general, through me. Everything in the e-mail is addressed to the FOFC community as a whole. I was just the conduit. 4. No, I didn't take any time to determine the veracity of what he said. However, I don't believe that to be reckless. I read the message, went through a thought process (which I'll detail in a bit), and decided to post it the message with the names edited out, and then decided a few minutes later (thanks to the advice of a concerned FOFC'er) to hide the phone number that he provided. 5. Here's the thought process on, "why did SkyDog post it?" There are only two possibilities here: a. he did lose his job b. he didn't lose his job Yep, I know that Ol' SkyDog is known to see things in black-and-white only, but dadgummit, those two options are black-and-white only. So, my thought process about posting it was something like this: If "A" is true (ie, he lost his job) In that case, once again there are only two options: either someone from the online community called Dell, or no one from the online community called Dell. I figured that IF someone from the online community called Dell, I was doing a service to the board by posting his story as a reminder that these things CAN happen. If someone DIDN'T call Dell, I was doing a service to the board by posting his story as a reminder that your workplace CAN monitor your internet habits. Either way, I felt like I was doing a service to the community. If "B" is true. (ie he didn't lose his job) Well, first of all, if this is the case, then clearly the guy has some pretty serious issues. I figured that eventually SOMEONE would find out the truth of the matter and let us know that, and then he would lose whatever level of respect, credibility and support from the online community that he had left. So, I'd be doing a service to the online community by playing a part in removing someone who didn't need to be out there from having any reason to post again. (And ultimately if "B" is true, it is probably best for HIM that he not post.) So, given this scenario, I felt like I would be doing a service to the online community by posting it. That's all I can remember to respond to at this point. If there are further questions, feel free to post 'em. |

And that, my friends, is the funniest and most appropriate commentary on this thread. :D All that's missing is for HM to have said: Wow, that sounds like a really good deal. But I think I've got a better one. Why don't I give you the finger....and you give me my phone call. |

will you be my date to the prom? |
Just to tie a couple of things from this thread together: the fact that any of you believe this for a second makes all the jury verdicts in ridiculous lawsuits seem understandable.
Most of this board's members are reasonably intelligent; yet some of you are completely gullible. I shudder to think of all the morons on juries and what they believe. Thank you for allowing me to interrupt this discussion with my stream of consciousness. Please resume your regularly scheduled programming. |
Are we gonna keep revisiting this week after week? As much as Horns might have loved the spotlight I think there are plenty here who just loved giving it to him. I mean Skydog keeps playing like " I'm just giving him enough rope to hang himself with" game. For fuck sake he has enough rope he can build a motherfucking jungle gym already. Please stop

I believe this is total bullshit and consistent with HM's passive aggressive manner in ensuring that he is the center of attention on this board. The posts of everyone here, including myself, have given this guy exactly what he wants: attention. He basically has come up with new ways to troll even when he is banned.
Banned for a pattern of disruptive behavior, he is now trying to get people to feel bad for him and to get a further rise out of people, when his banning was a result of his own repeated, contrived attempts to disrupt the board. As we all know, and I know from personal experience, it is very hard to get banned from this board. The way to kill a troll is to ignore him. The people on this board, on the whole, do an outrageously pathetic job of discouraging trolls. Every time some clown tries to get a rise out of people, like clockwork, dozens of apoplextic responses descend on the troll post. HM has managed to take this a step further now, by managing to elicit this reaction while banned. People complain about HM, the Wigs, Kippy, etc., but the fact is, the posters on this board have clearly shown that this crap is what you really want. You don't want a stately board that discusses football and sim games. You want a fucking soap opera, and you nurture every troll that wants to give you one. So anyway, let's continue on with this asinine thread. I'll remind you how it goes, in case you forgot: First, the troll post Second, the histrionic reaction, devoid of any sense of irony Third, the backlash Fourth, the argument Fifth, the namecalling Sixth, the "let's not fight/let's be rational" phase Seventh, the eventual digressions as the thread becomes sophomoric and proceeds to have nothing to do with the original posts. Eight, thread peters out when the next troll post appears. Rinse, repeat. |
"Just like the guy who sued God? Case was thrown out in a week because God could not testify in his own defense. "
Seems odd how an all-mighty being couldn't do something. ;) |
His lawyers advised him not to. :)

I agree. This is what the asshole wants. Besides, whats to keep him from using a different computer and logging in under a different name and continue to do this sort of thing? |
You forgot the "Don't feed the troll, that's exactly what he wants!" phase.
Oh, and "apoplextic" isn't a word. I like it though. |
Just think, in a couple of years this will all become FOFC-lore (hehe). Just like Dave Dail, Dolamite, the EA piracy fiasco, etc. And we can all revisit it when some new member asks "Who is this Hornsmaniac everyone occasionally brings up?" ;)
|
This guy is like the FOFC version of Andy Kaufman. Is he alive? Is he dead? Is he telling the truth? Is he lying again?

I think HornsManiac IS Andy Kaufman. I mean, think about it.... Kaufman was cocky and funny, too... ;) |

"His lawyers advised him not to. "
Gee, even God hires Johnny Cochrane as his lawyer. :) |
I'm just thankful Horns has his lucrative review website to fall back on.
|
My quick thought on this matter...Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
But I'll indulge this idiot, for a matter of seconds, and believe the bullshit. From the original post: Quote:
How dare this piece of crap try and use his wife's emotions to make us feel bad for him, when HE is the one who "boasts about how easily he cheats on her?!" Utterly dispicable... |
Quote:
Perfectly written - A+ (and I told myself I wasn't going to post in this meaningless thread, thanks :() Todd |
Total bullshit.
The story is fake and designed to elicit feelings of sympathy. There's a big conspiracy out to get HM and now it's reached his boss at Dell. Come on, SkyDog. This idiot got banned for being a total shithead. It needs to stay that way - don't post any more of this fake drivel. |
Dola...
Now I'm actually tempted to call Dell and report his ass for misuse of the computer systems. Except I don't know his real name. What a total loser. |
I'm inclined to not believe this because of past actions, though I obviously can't say for sure. The story doesn't really make much sense, his employeer keeping tabs on HornsManiac for so long, and then doing something after Horns being banned, the high ups actually taking time to read through all those crappy threads, etc. The whole someone complaining doesn't make sense to me because the statement was "keeping track for some time", a complaint such as that occured so long ago most likely would have been taken care of way back instead of being dealt with after banning. Them asking about HornsManiac first instead of SoSuave.com.
But like I'd also said before, even if it is true, Horns doesn't really have anyone to blame but himself. Sure, it may suck, but monitoring employee internet access is a common practice, if he really didn't want his bosses to know about 'Horns', then he would have never posted at work. All I gotta say on the subject, and I wish we could just let this whole thing die. |
Come on, Blackie. Apparently you can call a company like Dell and say, "Uh, there's this dude named Kyle that uses the Internet a lot. Can you fire him?" They will instantly know who you are talking to and take care of everything! ;)
I also should have skipped this entire thread until HeyBrad pulled out his peter. I've got the hiccups from laughing so hard and I can't stop. Damn you and MapleLeafs! I'm glad SkyDog posted this, if for no other reason than this is funny as hell. I agree 100 percent with your logic and reason behind publishing this. Your explanation shows that you gave this a lot of thought, which I appreciate. I also don't believe this for a minute, but let's say for example that somebody did rat him out: 1) How could he possible narrow down the list of suspects to three people here? My god, this guy has burned every bridge on the Internet. The list of possible suspects is longer than HeyBrad's peter. 2) Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. HM has posted enough crap on the Internet to launch an FBI investigation. Even if HM is his online "character," the fact is that I for one would not buy a Dell computer because I wouldn't buy a product from a company that would employ this jackass. I admit that I have gotten somewhat argumentative from time to time online, but I think there is a BIG difference from expressing your opinion and demonstrating yourself as a sleazy womanizer, a cheater, a liar, a drug user and/or a thief. I don't believe that I have ever done anything that would reflect poorly on my employer, other than people who may not like my opinions. There are plenty of people I've had debates with here that I respect and like the hell out of. |

I couldn't resist... ...the list of your pro-.400 Software Studios posts is longer than heybrad's peter. Some other comparably sized lists...Anrhydeddu's history of posting in praise of The Matrix...TroyF and pro-Shaq posts...IMTG and pro-Colorado posts...love letters between sachmo and wignifty...man, the list goes on and on...:D Chief Rum |
Great points guys. I'm starting to believe it less and less...

Personally, as a long time lurker whose followed the FOFC community around from board to board, I will be so sad if the Horns saga ever comes to a true end. It was the closest I could ever come to getting my pro-wrestling fix online.
1> HM starts thread, cuts heel promo, gets major heat from crowd 2> HM and RANDOM FOFC 'FACE' tussle about in some 1on1 action 3> HM gets beat down, but later returns to declare himself 'WINNAR!!!1' 4> RANDOM FOFC 'FACE' calls out Horns 5> HM responds, cheats, and then claims injury 6> COMMISIONER SKYDOG, after reviewing said cheating: "HM you're FIRED!" 7> peaceful ten minutes 8> JIM ROSS: "What the...OHMIGOD.....THAT'S HORNSMANIAC'S MUSIC!!!!!!" 9> HORNSMANIAC (In HORNSMANIACFAN mask): "I am not HM, but I am the rootinest, tootinest, jet-flyingest, cockiest, funniest. WHOOOO!" 10> Crowd goes nuts. 11> HORNSMANIAC (In HORNSMANIACFAN mask): "Also, my wife just died from leprosy, as well as rickets" 12> COMMISIONER SKYDOG: "HORNS, you're fired......AGAIN!" 13> Crowd goes nuts. 14> Canadian fans chant "You screwed Horns" 15> Rinse, repeat. |
Chief,
What? I love Shaq. He's my 350th favorite player in the NBA and he's right up there with my all-time favorite 17,000 actors. (on and off the court) :) TroyF |
Does Horn Shaq-Fu?
|
Now only if HM could change his bosses' ratings/talents to let him come back to work.
|
What a thread this is...
I'm willing to believe tHM's story, though one has to understand that not doing your job while being at work is a reason to be fired. Personally, I left the forum for 5 months because I decided not to post at work and only do so at home. I think this is a class act by SkyDog. (that's remembering how I basically attacked SkyDog on a comparable situation where HornsManiac ridiculed my attepmt to help a 'forum friend'. I actually thought about defending HM's right to post and all, but I guess his own rudeness towards me in the past has cost him the favor.) I truely hope he (HM) can get his live together, because wheter he's lying or not, his life has got to be a real mess at the moment. |

You must have ended the lovefest at #349 with Cezary Trebansky of the Memphis Grizzlies. Or was #349 Joel Przybilla of the Milwaukee Bucks? Oh wait, I know! Greg Buckner of the Sixers, right! Anyway, you ain't reached Shaq yet. ;) Also, remember this is a listing of your posts in comparison to the length of heybrad's peter. All we need is one TroyF love-post to Shaq-Deezil to eclipse that number! Chief Rum |
HEY HEY! Never equate Horns and Brett Hart EVER!
Oh, there's trouble a'brewin now! |

God has lawyers? (with props to mrs. kippy) |
Who really gives a shit? Fuck HornsManiac. He's a dumbass for getting into this situation. Maybe he'll kill himself and remove himself from the gene pool before he can make more babies. Let this thread die and have no more!

This week's sign that the apocalypse is upon us:
