It pains me that a Lannister not only feels the need to debase himself, but also to ensure that the entire realm knows of his actions.

That said, I would hope that Tyrion would remember that he is a Lannister and that the interests of Casterly Rock and Kings Landing intersect in the form of Joffrey.

Of course. The bonds shared by northern goatherders must certainly be thicker than those of the lands proudest and most esteemed family in the Seven Kingdoms.

A lot of hot air wasted in this thread. Every person in the realm, from the highest lords to the smallest simpletons knows that the crown passes to the eldest brother. I think everyone here but those too enamoured by their gold to admit it can agree that the Lannisters are a scourge which must be removed from the realm. Letting power hungry men and women like this--products of incest, murderers and adulterers--sit on the throne is not good for anyone. They have already displayed how little honor they have, and what they will do to a rightful king.

Lord Varys, i fear that we are the only ones here with the future of the REALM in mind. Individual desires for power do nothing but fragment the kingdom as these "kings" forget that their duty is to the throne, regardless of whom is sitting upon it.
