checking in
|
I'm heading out now, and I have class first thing in the morning. So I won't be able to respond to any comments until around noon tomorrow. I'll check once later tonight before I sleep in case anyone has a last second question.
|
I think if we do some heavy duty voting analysis up to this point, we will find that Autumn killed the first guy.

Yeah, but if we vote Danny today and Autumn tomorrow, we can lynch two wolves. |
wow excellent point.

Sounds almost too easy. |
Villager here! Hopefully the N0 scans went in our favor. Have an important interview tmw so ill be out for midday but aside from that I'm ready to save me some Gotham. And autumn isn't going to be stabbed, thanks autumn!

Hard for them to really go in our favor as they are all negative scans, but I guess it tells the person someone is a villager. Also important interview, gone part of the day... Vote Jackal |
Dola, my first game without items, who am I not going to pass my non-item to now?
|
we could always invoke zinto's law now too!
|
Zinto's law? Also forgot to mention it last game, but EF referenced something he created when I asked which is worse having a throwaway vote or moving it at the last minute to a runaway. What exactly was he talking about?
|
Zinto's law: The Jackal is always a wolf.
A throwaway vote usually means putting a vote on someone who isn't really a contender to get lynched. Like if the vote was 6-5-5 on three people, but your vote was on someone with just 1 or 2 votes. No matter when in the day you voted there. Runaway is like when the vote is like 9-2 or something like that and you add yet another vote to the pile to make it 10-2. Both are things wolves do to "hide their vote". Even though of course villagers do do this too for various reasons. |
Yeah, last game someone tried to do that, but was a minute late. I asked which was better and it sounded as if EF had something that was like a list of rules or something on wolf type activities.

I didn't notice the word "negative". What does that even mean? Quote:
I'll be around plenty to defend myself from such underhanded mob-like tactics! Though there's also a flyers game tomorrow night. :) |
Does negative just mean they get a random scan which cannot hit a role they are looking for?
So every disturbed citizen will learn one person who definitely isn't Dawes or Arkham, while Dawes will learn two people that definitely aren't supervillains and Arkham learns one person that definitely isn't a disturbed citizen? |
That's a pretty cool feature actually, I'm not sure I've played a game with that kind of inclusion, or else I don't remember it, if that's what this is.
|
Especially since no one can PM - this is a very intriguing roleset, should be fun to see what happens.
|

I don't think I've been a wolf since I adopted that signature. Maybe the first game, but I don't remember. :) |

That was mostly a joke, with some snippets of truth. People are always looking for hidden, or easy votes. It's one of the reasons I was testing that craziness on D2 yesterday, it would've been very easy to vote me for it .. although I haven't gone back and looked at the final results of who ended up on me that day.. |
yesterday = last game

Jackal - Autumn, Saldana, Dzilla, J23, Zinto
See. Two wolves and one wolf convert! The theory was sound! :) |
Or wait, nevermind, J wasn't a wolf, that was just your posturing. So just one wolf and a future convert. But it's just something to think about, wolf voting decisions are never easy, and it's what we analyze to try and pick people out when there aren't any obvious missteps.
|
Most of the time it's just villager movement, then you combine it with Danny's gut and presto - wolf.
|
I used to say that about Alan T. I remember that one game when he had every single wolf pegged, maybe even on D1. That was ridiculous.

I don't think you have been either. In The Evil Dead game I was going to be super mad at myself if you where the wolf. That being said you must be the only wolf today! |
I am around and will be on off and on tomorrow. Ready to fight those that are sure to put me on the block!
|
don't make ntn angry. You wouldn't LIKE hime when he's angry!

Somehow I don't turn green. Gotta leave Schmidty's schtick alone. |
Quote:
yeah don't touch Schmidty's schtick. |
Aye negative scans are pretty common - I remember I had one when I was the sorceror in Autumn's 9-player game. Pretty good way of making day one slightly less of a crap shoot than usual.
Looks like a tough game for the village - we have to stay on top of things because if the game starts to run away from us then it could run away very quickly. Don't think voting records are going to be fantastically useful in this game - the only possible way I can see them being important is if we luck on Two-Face early on as he will then have four people protecting him. Otherwise everyone will be as much in the dark as everyone else. |
Quote:
Obviously I wasn't round but I don't think there was much discussion about targeting you. I think the main thing you achieved was a degree of trust from some of the village and the (correct) suspicion that you didn't have a role among the wolves. Often villagers are looking for an easy reason to vote someone as well as the wolves early on. |
ehh I think it will be tougher for the corrupt people. They don't know who each other are.
What you think, Zinto? |
Touching Schmidty's stick turns you green?
|
Quote:
It is going to be pretty tough for Two Face to be able to corrupt in this game. It is going to be a crap shoot the first few days with him also, since he has about as good of a chance to hit one of the Disturbed Citizens as we have to hit a wolf on the first few says of a game. |
It is going to be extremely important to try and find those little hints in people's posts that I can never find trying to bait Two Face into killing them. It is going to be interesting to see how some of the players try to flag him.
|
Quote:
then if it's anything like last game we (the village) is screwed ;) |
Quote:
well I for one do NOT want Twoface to kill me. Absolutely not. Why that would just kill me. I would just DIE if twoface killed me. JUST DIE, I tell you! |
Quote:
Hahha very true, if Two Face hits with Danny like accuracy then we will most likely lose. |
gonna throw out a vote...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
VOTE CHIEF RUM Don't think I've forgotten about that rude diarrhea mouth comment! :D |
I have "Cant Get You Out of My Head" running through my head. Confusion ensues.
|
ELO!
|
I am also going to place an early vote, that I am sure is going to raise some eyebrows. Hoops played a great wolf game in the last Dark Knight and this will be a revenge shot for convincing everyone I was a wolf in that game.
Vote Hoops |
Also as Crimson said during that game Hoops is like Satan and can convince anyone of anything as a wolf :)
|
Quote:
Since this is the only thing you said,I'm trying to figure out how this is code to two-face. Is that Coldplay or Kylie Monogue? |
That really seems to imply that he IS two-face. But there is no reason why Two-face would want to signal anybody.
BUt maybe it's just a disturbed person trying to allude to 2face by clueing two-face. |
So the police then. If they make a block then I think they should reveal the fact straight away so we know that it's a block rather than a conversion. After they've made a block they become a martyr so I doubt they'll be very interesting to Two-Face and that shouldn't be an issue. I think we're better off knowing that there could be two kills coming the next night or not.
