Week 10 – We are a 7-2 team heading into 0-9 Buffalo. Obvious who wins? Well, we do, but barely, 13-9. MOM is Flemming with a pick and 3 sacks. But to my mind, the MOM is DT Lenny Sterne, who recovers a fumble, returns it for a score, and that’s our lone TD. 5 FF from my LBs – 2 each by Shea, Flemming and 1 by Danieles. This was not Swift’s day. 16 of 23, 0:2.
Week 11 – We beat the 6-3 Chargers 24-6. MOM is DE Benton with 4.5 sacks. That’s a lot of sacks. 3 KRB each by Guzy, Kelley, and Sandmeyer. INT by CB Felker. Swift was 22 of 35, 230 and 2:0 and hit Holbert and TE hammers for scores. OT Raymond is back from injury and starts again. DE Lane returns too. Week 12 – Another major contest arrives. The 8-2 Panthers are the next challenge. Challenge failed. We lose 27-17. We had Jacobs and Benton each with 2 sacks, 4 FF and 2 recoveries by my defense, and even Swift was pick-less with an uneven 25 of 36, 167, and 1:0. Barrett caught the score. Abrams rushed for a TD too. But we were +2 on TOs on the day and lost. That’s not a formula for success. DE Cobb retruns from his injury Week 13 – We beat the hapless Jags 31-13. Swift is your MOM with 22 of 35, 232 and 3:0, and rushed 8 for 66 and another score. Frederick, Hammers and Hatcher with the TD Catches. Shea has a pick.2 sacs by Benton and Cobb. Guzy and Raymond with 3 KRb each. No injury news We are 9-3 heading into the final stretch. |
Week 14 - We have the 7-5 Falcons next on our schedule. We lose 20-27. Abrams did a good job in a losing match, 23 for 122, 1 score, and he caught our score. Swift was 22 of 26, 306, and 1:1. Perrone was 99 yards. No turnovers, just 1 sacks, (Flemming of course) and 5 KRB by Gibbons and 3 by Duzy
A few of our players got knocked questionable – Hatcher, Sterne, and Lane. Week 15 – Another big game arrives, the 8-5 Broncos. We lose 14-13. Nicky Cobb oddly had a pick. Swift was 29 of 45 for 270 and 1:0. TE hammers with the catch, CB Tubbs got a FF and Recovered it too. 2 sacks by Benton and Jacobs. No major injury news. But those two losses are bad. We had a two game lead on the AFC that now melted. These are the teams at 9-5 in the AFC right now with two weeks to go: Kansas City Denver Cleveland Pittsburgh Houston San Diego And three more teams are 8-6. So it’s very, very tight. We could win our last two games, finish 11-5, and be handed a wild card at best. I have two teams in the AFC West I have to face down. Week 16 – We host the 4-9 Saints. It’s almost like a bye with our 30-10 victory. Abrams is MOM with 28 for 145 and 2 scores on the ground. Swift was 19 of 35, 169, and 1:1 and hit Hammers. Picks by Flemming and Henderson. FF by Cobb. LB Danieles with 2 sacks. 5 KRB by Duzy, and 3 by Raymond and Gibbons. No major injury updates. We are 10-5... Cleveland and Pittsburgh face each other in week 17, that should knock one down. We finish with the Raiders while the Broncos and Chargers should knock out another. Houston lost. So I have a shot here. Hold my serve against the Raiders. Week 17 – We win 32-17. MOM is Swift with 18 of 26, 196 and 0:0 and Abrams, 24 for 87, 2 scores. Pick returned for a score by.. DE Nicky Cobb. FF by Sterne that he recovered, another by Crawford. 4 KRB by Guzy, 3 by Gibbons |
The 2032 NFL Playoffs
AFC: 1. KC 11-5 2. Cleveland 10-6 3. Houston 10-6 4. NY Jets 8-8 5. Pittsburgh – 10-6 6. Baltimore – 9-7 Can we do it? Wild Card Weekend: Atlanta 10, at NY Giants 27 Baltimore 35 at Cleveland 7 Pittsburgh 23 at New York Jets 37 Seattle 31 at San Fran 21 And that brings us to... Week 2: We host Baltimore Houston hosts the Jets Minnesota hots the Giants Carolina the Seahawks We smash them 37-6 MOM is Swift – 20 of 22, 256, 3:0, and rushed 2 for 10 and another score. He hit Abrams, Hatcher, and Holbert for scores, speaking of which, RB Abrams was 23 for 120. Picks by Franz and Shea. OT Kelley is knocked to doubtful. I’ll start Valle. Jets over Texans 34-10 Vikes over Gmen 31-28 Panthers of Seahawks 36-14 .............. The Championships We host the #4 seed 8-8 Jets Carolina hosts the Vikings Carolina 34-28 over the Vikes... And.... 13 by us..... 9 by the Browns. We are in...but we have two major injuries, so get ready. MOM is Flemming. 17 tackles and 2 sacks. Cobb with 2 too, and Guzy with 3 KRB. Abrams was 17 for 82. But our QB was 17 of 25, 120 and 1:0, hitting TE Hammers of a score. But that QB? Not Ben Swift... Swift was injured on the 2 drive of the game, and Rhodes replaced him. Our other injury is dimeback CB Tubbs. I replace Tubbs. And Swift. I put Tubbs on IR and sign... QB Jordan Endzell, 35/46 3rd year guy. Kelley is still doubtful, so I deactivate him. The 2032 NFL Super Bowl Your AFC Champion, #1 seed 11-5 Kansas City Chiefs Vs Your NFC Champion #1 seed 13-3 Carolina Panthers We met earlier this year and if you’ll recall, we lost 17-27... will that happen here? This is my first Super Bowl in 5 years with the Chiefs. And we’ve been hot a lot. But I’m down a QB and a LT. What are the panthers down? One starting quality 60s level LB. Alright... Will this be the Comeback of Rhodes? No, it won’t be Rhodes’ day. 17 for 25, 126 yards, 0:0. And they hold Abrams down too – 13 for 50. Rhodes adds 30 yards rushing and we had 80 yards rushing total. Was this a dominant day by my LB Force? Flemming? Jacobs? Nope. Did my D Line force them down and keep them from doing anything. No. We had a single sack on the day. They score four times. All field goals, but 12 points in a game like this is enough to win. We only managed 2 FGs for six points................. ............... .............. .............. Offensively... See, you know that big name signee I made last year? CB Dana Cortez? He got a pick, returned it for a score! He just got Super Bowl MVP and won us the game Celebrate y’all! |
Season Awards –
Def. Player of the Year: OLB Flemming Super Bowl MVP – CB Dana Cortez All-Pro 1st Team – Flemming All-Pro 2nd Team – RB Dana Abrams, P Derek Grandon, DE Amos Benton That’s right, Benton and Abrams with All Pros, and this is Grandon’s debut season and award! STATS! QB Code:
Again, not bad stats from Swift. Sure, I’d like a real Qb. We all would, but not bad. I Compare Swift to Arledge. Arledge was 48/48 at best, had great numbers. Better yards, better rating, better TD:rating and awards, like All Pros. Swift is 55/5 and can’t catch a break. Both had the same level of receivers. Guys in high 50s or low 60s. Lat year, Swift was sacked 25 times, this year 44. Not a good sign. Rushing? Abrams was 313 for 1293 yards, 8 rushing scores, 4.13 ypc Pretty solid Catching? Code:
As you can see, Abrams led my team in catches with 83 and 556 yards and 5 scores. Swift checked that ball down. 113 targets? Crazy. No one else looks good here. I feel like Perrone started the season as the primary TE target and then Hammers moved in later. CB Mayes was 46 for 488 and 10.6 PR and 26 for 656 abd 25,2 KR. 5th best KR Avg. K Fields, 27 of 41, long of 50, 39 of 42 P Grandon – 94 pints, 41 in 20, av of 48.0 . Fields had a horrible year and I expect better results next year by far... Blocking: Guzy 40 KRb, 6 pancakes 8 sacks allowed – I thought he might make All Pro, was 5th in KRB among OGs and had more pancakes than a few above him. Gibbons, 31 KRB, 5 and 4 sacks allowed Sandmeyer, 22, 0 and 5 Kelley, 20, 0 and 12 T Raymond, in 8 starts, 13, 0 and 5 Defense Code:
Front Office Football Eight Whoa. 15 sacks by Benton, then 13.5 and 12.5. I thought Jacobs was rope for All Pro. He was 3rd in sacks among LBs. Benton was 3rd in league in sacks, Flemming 4th, and then Jacobs tied for 8th. SS Clayton led the team in tackles for the first time in Flemming’s tenure. Pass coverage: Code:
Hmmm. 5 picks by Flemming. He led all LBs in picks. We have 7, two 6s, and 4 5s in the league in INTS this year. I felt Cortez was so close to his first All Pro, just couldn’t get another pick. Flemming had 6 FF and led the league with 17 pasdef. |
The Flemming Watch –
4 time Defensive Player of the Year: 445 solo tack, 109 assists 48.5 sacks, 8 blocked passes, 34 hurries, 69 QBKD 16 FF, 2 Rec, 1 FR TD 17 picks, 2 INT RET TD, 52 pasdef Team Awards Off. Player of the Year: RB Dana Abrams. My first, solid RB year here for the Chiefs, had the best receiving year of any back in the NFL, plus a 1200+ rushing year, and an All Pro to show for it. Good job Abrams! Defensive Player of the year: DE Amos Burton. Sorry Flemming, gotta eventually go with someone else! Burton led my team in sacks and notched his first All Pro doing so. Thanks Amos! Special Teams Player of the Year: P Derek Grandon – I took a bit of a risk by drafting him when I had a solid 58/58 guy on my squad, but I think we’re all happy now! Rookie of the Year: C Randall Sandmeyer -A 1st round highly touted OT gets drafted and starts year 1, no surprise. A 5th year OC does and it’s something. And Sandmeyer made it rain KRBs without being a sack-sieve. Heart Award: CB Henderson – He lost a step. He was demoted to Nickelback two years ago. And yet this aging wonder had 1.5 sacks, 3 picks, and 7 pasdef. He gets results. Thanks Damon! |

Free Agency 2033
What to do with my two stars – Guzy and Jacob? I’m about 50 mill under the cap, with space for players at 40. Jacobs wants 150 mill and 5 years Guzy wants 5 years, 82.5 mill Both want a lot of cash It’d be about 30ish mill to extend both more on my cap this year. I don’t have a lot of cap space left if I do. I extend Rhodes by two more years while I think about it. I extend Cobb by three years, drop his hit this by 5 mill to help Okay, who else is out there that I need to extend? I did like OG Harvey Gibbons. This was his first year starting for anyone, he’s a solid 61/61 guy, young, he wants 3 years and 20 million. And I feel like I can always find solid guards. There are multiple OGs in the mid 50s in FA, as well as folks I can draft or groom for a starting role. And I can finish out his contract this year, and then move next, or even make a play later. For now, I’m not moving on Gibbons. RB Barrett and Abrams are in their final year. I extend Barret by one year, but Abrams, as you may expect, wants serious cash. I extend backup SS Franz for another year. He’s my secondary leader. WR Frederick has dropped to 48/48. I can extend his deal to 3 years, 16 mill, and drop his cap hit to 6.4 this year, and then 5.5 next two. But if I cut the 31 year old dropping WR< I save 7 mill this year. That’s a lot of cash I’m freeing up. I extend LB Sam Danieles to 4 years, 14 mill. He grew to 57/57, and is my defensive front leader. I am going to try him in the middle starting with Shea/Jacobs/Flemming to help out. I want to keep DT Stuart and LT Skae, but one is too expensive and the other doesn’t like me right now due to a lack of playing time. Ah well. I extend CB Moschetti by 1 year. I sign Guzy to 5 mill, 80 years, flat cap of 13 mill for each year after this one until the last. He is the 2nd best OG in football. The 3rd and 5th best are with the Browns, and I drafted them. Remember Lucas Lucas and Wayne Croom? He had the best year for my club, and had a career equal to some players I’ve had when they had All Pros from the O Line. I sign these RFAs: QB Endzell, RB Blackburn, SE Gardener, LB Jaffe, Miles What do I need: Starting QB OG OT WR TE RB FB? LB? CBx2 S I could use a very, very good WR, or CB, or OG/OT. Alright, let’s head to week 2 |
Anyone I like and wanna make an offer to in UFA?
The best FB in the league, 5th year vet, 70/70 Chad Eckard is there, wants 5 mill/year. Wanna spend 84 mill for 4 years for Swift? I don’t! There are a few players I like. But I want to see how close the Jacobs deal gets us... 5 years, 150.5 mill, with cap hits of 26, 23, 24, 34, and 44. Without releasing WR Frederick, that puts us at 16 mill under the cap and room for 7 mill, with 45 players on our team right now under contract. I have a bit of an issue with my O Line Valle has become my leader and there’s some conflicts. I may have to look at that later. Chase LB Clinton? Another leader helper? I don’t have the cash, and I don’t have the need to cut Frederick yet, right? Well, why not chase a WR in FA that’s better than Frederick and can be that immediate swap? That’s Trenton Logan, 51/51, 27 years old, wants 3 years, and 15 mill. I’d only save 2.5 mill this year, and then be tied to his deal for two more Any WRs in the draft or anything I think could be here at 1.32? Nope, this is a pretty weak WR draft. So I could basically sign Logan and cut Frederick, cut Frederick and sign other players, or punt and worry about WR next year. Nah. We need to bring in another body. I make Logan the offer. I go ahead and cut Frederick, so I can chase the leaders at other spots. I make offers to LB Rickey Clinton, 2 years, 4 mill and LT KC Fletcher, 1 year, 3.5 mill that Banks and Guzy just love. Week 2 – OT Raymond signs with the Bucs. Swift signs a mega-del for 150 mill over 5 years with the Saints. Week 7 – We sign OT Fletcher and WR Logan, the best WR in FA. FS Kaplan heads ot the Saints Week 9 – We sign our LB Clinton too. We have 47 players under contract, 12 mill in cap space, just 3 mill after the draft. Draft time! |
The 2033 NFL Draft
We have a lot of QBs in the 5 or 6 ratings in the draft, and I scouted 8 of them with interviews. A few come back underrated, like QB Elias Tamm that I like with good combines, low bars, but good interview. We’ll see what happens, but drafting 1.32 is always rough. I still need 2 DBacks, 1 WR, 1 backup TE, 1 RB, 1 starting QB, and 1 OG to develop as a starter is okay too. Alright here we go! Buffalo gets us started off with CB from San Jose State Donovan Daniels at the 1.1 spot. An absolute stud WR falls to 1.23, but I don’t trade up, because I want to keep my ammo for Tamm if he’s there. He is. But he’s 3 Qbs down the list. Wil he fall to me at 2.32? I gamble. I love CB Cooks here, he seems like a major player. Grabbing him gives me a future force at the CB spot while also securing my future there. I could also take the unsexy but feasible OG Turner Cook is the better talent, and it’s hard to draft quality Cbs due to their demand, I can get Guards all day long. I take Cook. Not another QB goes until pick 59 to the Texans. Tamm is close. But yes, he makes it. Now, next question – Can I get him at 3.32? By now, most of the teams that want a QB will have taken one, right? And Tamm is still one down. This is a draft deep with RBs. There is a solid RB here too still on the board, even after 5 were taken in the 1st and another 4 in the 2nd. Hmmmm... I can’t, in good conscience, pass up Tamm again. I take Tamm. Sorry Riley Konrad! Washington goes QB at 3.2, and could have Tammed it up, who knows. Well shit. Konrad is still on the board at 3.32. Just 2 RBs went in the 3rd until now. Alright, well join us! I’ll see you in the 4th. Alright I’m going to gamble on another grower. WR Caiden Martin. Red speed, red agility, blue PSpec and smarts. Black and fine strength. Not good bars. But hey, it’s the end of the 4th, so whatever. 5.32 TE Jason lluellyn – Total BPA 6.32 LT Thurman McDaniel – Depth 7.32 ILB Tyler Hopkins - Depth |
Here we go:
CB Cook – 33/69, TE Lluellyn 28/56, QB Tamm 19/55, RB Konrad – 43/53, LB Hopkins 25/52, OT McDaniel – 16/50, SE Martin 22/35, I have 6 mill left post-draft B- Grade Late Free Agency Who do I still need? Dana Abrams is holding out. Dana Abrams may not be long for this team. He;s a 7th year vet, with a 54/54 rating, already like 4 worse than we I signed him, who, to be fair, had a nice year last year leading my team in both receptions and rushing, and that’s why I liked Konrad, he’s a good receiving back. I don’t have the cap space, or the inclination, to give him the jump and long term security he wants. He’s getting 4.5 mill this year in the cap, so that’s not chump change. The Colts have cut some players they drafted and didn’t sign and I make an offer to one, as well as my normal litany of quality UFAs. I’ll tell you later if any stick. Week 1 – We sign three. CB Henderson heads to Cleveland and CB Tubbs to Chicago. Week 3 – We are good to go! Time for a little camp action.... |
I cut TE Gretsky. He’s dropped to 47, 10th year vet, would be 3rd or 4th on my chart, and my rookie grew and looks to move to my top 3 easily, which would bump Gretsky down. Might as well cut him
I trade C Tevin Lowe to the Titans for their 5th rounder next year. He’s good, developed, but I can’t resign him, and I have a logjam and I need to clear him out. Good luck Lowe! I trade DT Stuart to the Cowboys for their 4th and 6th in 2035. Again, too many D Line, he’s expensive to retain, I start just one DT, and I just signed a solid rookie from the Colts draft they didn’t retain. We win the preseason dominatingly. 4-0, with wins in there like 33-0 and 27-3. Abrams is still holding out. I have a few rookies that grew: QB Tamm is now 27/60 TE Lluellyn is now 34/64 WR Martin didn’t move at all. Stupid grower not-growing and a shower in Lluellyn actually growing. McDaniel the same too. Same with LB Hopkins CB Cook dropped to 35/60. Not great. I was hoping we’d finish in the 65/65 area or some such. Cook is still the the 3rd best CB in the draft with a future of 60 and was the best on the board. The 1.1 is 53/71, and another is 51/67 from the mid 1st. So with those off, Cook is still better than these others. TE Hammers busted to 41/41. So the loss of Gretsky and Hammers at the same time I finally got lucky with a TE booming is intriguing to me. I wish I had moved up. I could have converted that 1.32 from the adequate Cook to a WR that’s just on fire who went 1.23. But ah well. Around 1.20 I felt he had fallen too far and thought about a trade, due to my need at the position. But I stayed pat because I thought QB Tamm might fall, and getting a real QB, hopefully, for the first time ever would be authentically nice. Tamm or Rhodes? I was intending Rhodes. He’s 44/52, and Tamm 27/60. But Tamm grew, needs the dev time, and I doubt the difference in their play would be that noticeable. Remember this is studly defense. I have All Pro Des at both spots and an All Pro DT. I have the best player in the league with Flemming, and then the 3rd best LB in Jacobs, and 9th in Shea. SS Clayton is a 2x All Pro, CB Cortez is great, and you’ve seen that CB Felker can hold his own all day long. Allen has risen to 54/61 so we are good to go, Idaho, with Tamm unleashed. Barrett busted a little, so we are leaning on him and Konrad until Abrams returns. |

Week 1 – We take on the powerful Broncos, and barely manage to beat them 28-27. Who is the MOM Get ready.... QB Elias Tamm, 26 of 38, 291 yards, 4:1. He his WR Logan our new signee and 3rd WR on the roster, Holbert, WR Hatcher and WR Gardener each for a score. So all of our active QBs got in on the scoring. Konrad was 23 for 96. Just 2 sacks. Lots of carries by Barrett and Konrad, we had more than 200 yards rushing when you include the 42 from Tamm. 5 KRB by Duzy, 4 by Gibbons, 3 by Valle and Sandmeyer.
We have a minor injury. Leader and signee, LB Ricky Clinton hurt his Achilles and is out for a month and I bench him. Week 7 – We barely hold on to win against the Raiders 31-30. After starting 19 for 27, 225 and 1:0, Tamm goes down to injury and Rhodes finishes. They hit Konrad for the score, picks by Cortez and Clayton. MOM isi Cobb with 3 sacks, and Flemming had 2.5 . Konrad rushed 32 for 125 and 1. 5 KRB by Gibbon, 4 by Sandy and Guzy and 3 by Kelly. Three picks by Shea, FS Allen and dimeback CB Moshetti. 2 FF by Beton, 1 each by Cobb and jaffe. Cobb recovered his own, and a Benton was recovered by Nickelback Cook and returned for a TD> Benton with 2.5 sacks, and 1.5 for Jacob,s, Cobb, and DT Newhart, starting for Sterne. 4 KRB by Sandy, 3 each by Valle, Kelley, Guzy. Konrad was 23 for 103 and 2 scores, and backup RB Blackburn rushed 16 for 89 and another. Injuries – Barret questionable; CB Cortez was knocked to doubtful early in the game and did not return. Week 9 – We are hoping to get to 7-1. But the Steelers end that hope 31-21. MOM is Flemming with 2 sacks, 1 pick returned for a score. Another pick by DT Newhart. 4 KRB by Gibbons, Guzy, and 3 by Kelley. Tamm was 29 of 49, 307, and 1:0. Logan had 111 yards and a score, Hatcher 112 yards. Konrad was 21 for 95 and 1 TD. Tamm and Logan are back to fully healthy |
Week 10 – We beat the Broncos 16-3. MOM is DT Donnie Newhart, subbing for my injured star. He notches 2 sacks 2 picks on the day by Flemming and Jacobs. Konrad is not the star 34 for 139, and had some good stuff, but....OG Gibbons clocked in 7 KRB for the guy. 4 by OT Kelley and 3 by Sandy. Tamm was 20 of 34, 170, 2:0 and hit Perrone 2x for TDs.
FL Hatcher is out for a few weeks with an injury. All other major injuries over like Cortez and DT Sterne. Week 11 – We beat the Chargers 34-17. Flemming is MOM with 2.5 sacks. S Clayton with another pick. But my offensive aspects was stymied. Tamm was 14 of 19, 109 and Konrad held to 59 years, and Barrett had the other TD score. 5 KRB by Sandy, 4 by Gibbons Week 13 – We beat the Texans with a lot of defense. MOM is Flemming with 3.5 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FumRec and a pick. Cobb had 3 sacks too. Konrad was 24 for 107 and 1 score, and Tamm was 24 of 33, 264 and 2:1, hitting hammers and Gardener for scores. Sandy 5 KRB, Guzy 4, Valle 3. WR Hatcher is back from injury FS Allen is doubtful and TE Lluellyn is out for the season with a high ankle sprain. I place him on IR and sign... We have another injury. WR Gardener is out for a month Week 15 – We win on the road 30-26 vs the Raiders. MOM is LB Danieles with a pick, TD, and 1.5 sacks. Just 3 sacks on the day, but Gibbons? Whew! Guy had another 7 KRB day. Guzy with 3. FF by Benton and Flemming, Flemming recovered his. Konrad 19 for 83, RB Blackburn rushed for a score. And Tamm was 20 for 33, 210, and 1:1, and hit rookie WR Caiden Martin for a score. Injury news? RB Barrett with a concussion, I bench him Randall Flemming is such a boss that he broke his hand and is still probable. Week 16 – We win 26—18 vs the Redskins. MOM is DT Sterne with 3 sacks, 1 FF and 1 FumRec. 2 sacks by Jacobs. 5 KRB by Kelley and 3 each by Guzy and Valle. Late the game Guzy was injured and is out for a few weeks. Konrad was 24 for 125 and 1 TD, Tamm 23 of 34, 231, and 1:1 – Hatcher with the TD Catch. Week 17 – Can we finish 14-2 with the best record we’ve ever had with my tenure with KC? We have the 10-5 Chargers hosting us. This is not a given. We win in OT 20-17. MOM is Konrad with 26 for 132 and 1 TD. Tamm had 24 of 48, 234 and 0:0. S Clayton with a pick, FF by Felker, recovered by CB Cook. 5 KRB by Gibbons, A few injuries picked up heading into the playoffs: FL Logan, out for 6 weeks CB Cortez, doubtful; for 4 LB Jacobs, question for 4 Franz, question for 2 |

Konrad is 26 for 120 and 1 TD. 3 KRB by Axel Kelley Browns 19-12 over Titans Falcons 20-16 over Lions Panthers 24-17 over Redskins Conference Champs Well, the good news is that the 13-3 Titans were knocked out. And we had no major injuries either We win 16-10 over the Browns. MOM is DE Nicky Cobb with 2.5 sacks and a FF. 4 KRb by Sandmeyer. Pick by FS Allen. Konrad was 19 for 67, and no scores. Tamm was really thrown with a 22 of 36 for 201 and 1:3. One of those picks was returned for a score, their only TD. But we managed to overcome it. Holbert with the TD catch. We have the defense that can overcome that sort of a performance. Panthers won 47-14. The 2033 NFL Super Bowl Your #1 Seed AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs, 14-2 Vs Your #1 Seed NFC Champion Carolina Panthers, 12-4 Ready? I had no major injuries... They open with a TD and a FG in the first quarter, to go up 10-0. Then early in the 2nd they get a PR TD and it’s 17-0. Then Konrad rushes for a score with 10 minutes left in the half. Flemming picks them off, and we get a FG, then another with a minute left and it’s 13-17 at the half To open the 2nd half we drive and get another FG to bring us to 1. We force them 3 and out and then drive for a while, and WR Gardener grabs a score from Tamm at the 7:07 mark in the 3rd quarter to put us up 23-17 They may have opened with 17 straight, but we answered with 23 straight. They manage a FG in the early stanza of the 4th and its’23-20 us We are stymied, but then as they drive, we get another pick – this time by FS Allen, who returns it 34 yards to put us in a good position, with 9 minutes left But Tamm throws a pick to TO it back over just a few plays later. They drive and score a TD with 5 minutes left. 27-23 them Tamm moves slowly, and they stop us from doing anything down field, and eventually, he takes a risky throw with 30 second left and it’s his 3rd Pick and game We lose 27-23 Tamm – 22 for 48, 267 and 1:3 Kaplan, 22 for 88, 1 TD Flemming, 1 Pick Allen – 1 Pick No miracle win for the rookie Tamm Ah well. |
Season Awards!
Offensive Rookie of the Year: QB Milas Tamm I’m a little surprised that was Tamm. We’ll see why in a second... Defensive Player of the Year: OLB Flemming (Get Ready for a long list): All-Pro 1st Team: RB Riley Konrad OC Randall Sandmeyer OG Harvey Gibbons DE Nicky Cobb LB Randal Flemming All-Pro 2nd Team: DT Lenny Sterne I’m surprised Tamm won over Konrad. Konrad led all RBs in yards and was close in Rush Tds |
STATS!!!
Passing: Code:
You can see Tamm here. 20 sacks and 3 fumbles too. He started well, and then slowed down at the end while Konrad was doing the opposing. He had 1900 yards in the first 7 games, but just 1900 in the next 9. Still, a 26:9 ratio, a 96.0 rating, and great stats everywhere shows that we finally have someone who tossing the rock who is at least good. Rushing: Konrad – 367 for 1559, 4.25 ypc, 10 rush scores, 56 catches, 415 yards, 2 rec scores He almost had 2000 yards from scrimmage, and a strong season. He had the must rushing yards by 150 and tied for 2nd most rush scores. Tamm was like, 10th most pass yards and 6th best QB rating and such. But Konrad led the league in a major stat at his position. So I think the wrong offensive player won that award. Did we just add Dak Prescott and Zeke in one draft? Receiving: Code:
Unfortunately, still no 1000 yard seasons. Holbert and Parrone both had a lot of catches. We are running a West Coast style, but I feel like we need a little more push. Anyways you can see the results there. Notice the very even TPct of players on the roster. After Perrone and Holbert,, and to a lesser degree Logan, everyone gets the same number of targets. Perrone is targeted a lot more than he is catching, so hopefully Lluellyn will grow into a better catcher. Blocking: Gibbons – 53 KRB, 4 pancakes, 6 sacks allowed -2nd most KRB in league. Sandmeyer – 45 KRB, 3 and 1. The most KRB by a C in the league, 7th most overall Guzy – 32, 2 and 1. Kelley – 31, 3 and 6 Valle – 29, 3 and 6 Those are, frankly, some of the best blocking numbers one of my teams has ever done. We also had lowered sacks. Just 20 sacks on the season for young QB. And that helped with the numbers here. Totally deserved All Pros for Sandy and Gibbons. And Gibbons had the sort of season I don’t see outside of true studs like Marquis Satre (a stud OG from another dynasty) CB Mayes – 2 PR RET TD, 60, 9.8 avg; 23 KR, 25.2 avg K Fields – 33 of 42, 41 of 44 PAT. P Grandon – 78 punts, 48.8 avg, 25 in 20 I am very upset at Fields. That’s way too may PATs and short range Ks to miss, including missing a 39 yarder to win the game. DEFENSE Code:
Cobb almost led the league in sacks. He was leading until the final week, when someone got to 15. But hey, 14 sacks and another All Pro for the guy. Flemming with another 12, and Jacobs got another 10 as well. DT Sterne, despite only playing in 13 games, had some quality results. ILB Shea led my team in tackles this year, and Clayton and Flemming eased back. Pass D Code:
You can see that Flemming again led my team in picks, as well as all LBs, and only 3 people had more in the league. 11 PasDef also leads my team, and 3rd most among LBs in the league. Meanwhile, Clayton and Jacobs each notched a trio, although Jacobs didn’t get any pasdef, while Shea did. You can see the results of a 3-4 here. All of my LBs have at least 2 picks, but just one CB and S do. Although Allen’s string of picks in the postseason is pretty sexy. |
Team Awards:
Offensive Player of the Year: OG Gibbons. Dude had an All Pro year, and with two 7 KRB games was clearly the class of the line. Good job Gibbons! Defensive Player of the Year: DE Cobb. Back leading my team in sacks, and getting another All Pro selection. Good job Nicky! Special Teams Player ot Year: CB Mayes – 2 separate PR TDs is a pretty special year. Good job Mayes! Rookie of the Year: RB Riley Konrad – I’ve already expounded on why. Dude deserved it. Heart Award: TE Hammers – Until the injury to my rookie, Hammers was 3rd on my depth chart, and then wound up 2nd, and dropped in skill to a 40 guy, and yet had 4 scores and a solid catching game this year. Thanks buddy! The Flemming Watch: 5 Year Defensive Player of the Year: 536 solo tackles, 134 assists 60.5 sacks, 11 blocks, 49 hurries, 88 QBKD 22 Ints, 3 INT TD, 63 pasdef 18 FF, 5 Fum Rec, 1 FR TD There are CBs who start for 10 years, and are considering pretty sold who don’t retire with those coverage numbers. There are DEs who rush and do well and are considered solid who never get 60 sacks in a career. That’s just crazy. The Flemming Continues. |

Slb Arnold McWilliams – 4 time All Pro, 46.5 sacks, more than 1000 tackles, etc FS Kaplan retired from a stint with my Chiefs Staff I make no changes prior to the draft. We pick 15th. Do I want to move off West Coast? Chad Henne is available as a top flight OC that has spread. Am I a spread team? I don’t think yet. Anyways, I skip selecting anyone and keep my old staff Ticket prices up I have just one player on UFA I’d like to keep, OG Gibbons, but tagging him is silly. I’ll just try and sign him later. I missed out. Had I extended him last year, I could have gotten him for around 6-7 mill a year, but now, my guess is he’d be a lot pricier. |
Let’s take a look at FA!
Roster Needs: Backup – RBx2, TE, OT/G, S Starter – Maybe WR, OG, maybe OT for Valle, Maybe CB if Cook can’t rise to the occasion now that Felker dropped LS Let’s look at the draft first. Anyone there for my needs? OG? WR? OT? CB? This is a S and CB heavy draft. I find a few OTs I like too. I’d be happy to take a Axel Kelley here at 1.31. They won’t all be mega-hits who fall, like a Cook or a Kelley, but you can still uncover talent. Actually, about 4 OGs I like too. And the 4th WR on the board is sexy too after I interview him. We should have options. Back to FA I have 30 mill in cap space, 18 mill to sign stuff. Now I am lucky. How? Great question! Well, the year after my Duzy/Jacobs selections of awesomeness, I didn’t have any major players I drafted. Here are the ones entering their final year: SE Holbert C McCarthy OG Banks LB Shea FS Allen None of those are must-signs. All of those have disappointed to one degree Banks and McCarthy, or another, Holbert not growing enough. Here is what they would each want SE Holbert – 4 years, 43 mill C McCarthy - years, 9 mill OG Banks – 2 yeas, 3 mill LB Shea – 82 mill, 5 years - nope FS Allen – 2 years, 6 mill Now, Shea wants a ton of cash for just being good, but he really didn’t play like it. He’s a 73/73 ILB I got in the 2.23 spot because he fell, and I play him a lot, but he’s more of a tackling run-stopper with some value elsewhere. Now, if he wanted 5-6 mill a year, I’d sign him. But there is no way that I can pay him that money. I could trade him while he’s hot. A 4th year LB that good? I should, ideally, have people feasting from the generosity of my hands. I shop him In 2036, a few years down the road, I trade my 3rd rounder and Shea for the Vikings 1st rounder. Shea is young, he’s the 8th best LB in the league, you can lock him down for a while. That’s pretty saucy for Minnesota,, and they drop back two rounds to get him. Right now I have Crawford free, and I could make a play for him in FA, and then keep my options open in the draft I resign a few of my RFA. I’d like to resign Gardener, but dude wants real money, like 6 mill over 3 years. I make an offer to Brad Stepanovic, a great 98 snapping LS. Week 4 – Crawford heads to {Pittsburgh. He wanted too much cash. Week 8 – Gibbons heads to Texans for 3 years, 36 mill Week 10 – Our LS Target signs Time for drafting! |
The 2034 NFL Amateur Draft
Denver starts us off with S Dillon Buchans of U Minnesota. The target I like that I think might fall are WR Hunter Gorham, OG Jim Robinette, and OT Roderick Lane. But the one player I likes a lot is Hunter Gorham. I want him badly. He was the 4th on the board, and after I used my 4th interview on him, I was sold. WR Hunter Gorham – blue in dash at 4.39, SOLE with 31, strength with 15 reps, red agil, and blue spec drills. Blue or red in every assessed combine stat. Came back underrated. Already has great looking bars and stats, with low volatility. I really think Gorham can be something Let’s head to 1.31 and take a look and see who went where: Robinette on the board, Lane went 9th the 49ers. Hunter? Still on the board. He has good stats, underrated, and has everything you’d want. In fact, I think he’d go very high in a multiplayer league, especially one of the earlier games where having a WR was the most important position out there, and this guy would go 1.1 in some of them. Here, let me show you a quick snippet of Hunter Gorham, on the board at 1.31 ![]() I pulled up both Gorham’s card and the draft so you can see where we are. Actually, hold on, let me pull up Robinette so you can see who I liked here too. There I resaved it for you. Robinette is a nice pick up here. Robinette had 1 red, three blues, and 1 normal in smarts. He;d be ikely fine, and great bars. But as I’ve said before, you can get internal O Line talent later, you can’t get a high quality WR like Gorham this often. With my young Qb that looks pretty solid, I can’t not take Gorham. So I snag him |
2nd arrives – RT Gabriel Benton? LG Stuart Lane? TE Downs?
All three are solid. Set aside Downs. Lane or Benton? I’m going Lane because he’s from WVU! 3rd – SS Wally van Pelt 4th CB Calvin Stephenson 5th – TE Glen Perry 5th - DE Banks – How is Enrique Banks still in the draft? He’s on the opening screen of talent in that shot I took of the draft. This is silly, I’ma take him. 6th – LB Barry Stine 7th LB Marco Ballard – I actually interviewed him. He has sole super high, and good bars, low rating, and no combine numbers. So he wasn’t on other radars. Will he be a diamond in the rough for me like Crawford or Danieles? Alrighty! Early looks – SE Gorham – 38/73 DE Banks – 21/61 LB Ballard – 20/57 LB Stine – 16/56 TE Perry – 24/51 G Lane – 25/49 – Yuck. CB Stephenson – 26/48 – Yuck S Wally van Pelt – 21/43 – Yuck Ah well. My draft had a good 1st and later rounds, but maybe the 2-4 drafts weren’t hot. Ah well. |
I have 20 mill in cap space post draft, and 55 players on muh roster
A measure to move Tampa to Portland failed. We have a B grade Late FA – I’m a little surprised that a certain WR isn’t holding out. But thanks Colbert! Who do I want post-draft? I offer a 4 year, 10 mill contract to young OT Aaron Byrne, from Cleveland, who has an affinity for my leader, Guzy. QB Chuck Roberts, grizzled veteran, 3 time All Pro, 38 years old, Mentor, dropped a lot, want him for mentoring the QB spot 2.5 mill, 2 years, LB Alexander Roberts 4 UFAs too Week 1 – I sign Roberts Week 2 - 3more arrive Week 3 – Everybody arrives. We have 62 players heading into camp |
CAMP
We sell 48,400 season tickets. I cut QB Endzell, Now I had, for the first time ever with the Chiefs, an undrafted QB actually get better in camp – Corey Callaway. He went from 43 pot to 49. Is he a grower? We’ll see after camp. I was just going to blow up the league with wins since I wasn’t getting a good undrafted QB, but we clearly have a juggernaut here. If Callaway winds up growing more, then I might be interested in having a conversation about swapping Tamm for Callaway in a year or too. Right now Tamm is 45/60 and my best QB option ever for the Chiefs. I have had a rotisserie of QBs starting for me – Rhodes, Guymon, Tamm, and Swift. And I’d be willing to commit to Callaway early enough to trade Tamm in a year or two when he’s mostly developed and ready to reap big trade potential. Since I couldn’t find a good OT in the draft, OT Byrne will start for Valle and is my new RT starter. I extend OG Banks by a year, and then hand the OG spot to my rookie OG for preseason to see if he can grow. QB Rhodes is demanding a trade. Even if I trade him now, I have my starter, my backup vet, and a potential Callaway. I upgrade my 3rd in ’37 to the Cleveland 1st to send them Rhodes. Rhodes ain;t no joke. He’s the 18th best QB in the league by current ability and 21st by potential. If you were a Qb starved team, would deal a future 1st, years down the road, for the 3rd that year and that cheap, 1.5 mill guy signed for two years? Especially if you think you can build him or get more from him. I cut TE Hammers. Good luck finding another home! Dude caught 10 Tds in 2 years with me, but I signed him to go above Perrone and Gretsky, and he did neither. And fell quickly. I have Perrone and the young two. So we’re fine. Hammers might have been my 4th TE, no sense banishing him to that CB Felker has dropped from my expected spot at nickel to potentially dime, with Moschetti now at 51/51. I extend FS Allen by a year. Now that LB Jaffe is developed, he wanted more playing time. He’s a red card demanding trade. So I move him to the Raiders for their 3rd in 2036, a year we moved a 3rd. Goodbye Jaffe I cut DE Cesar Lane |
Preseason we go 3-1. No major injures, only a few probbales here and there.
So good news. Tamm rose to 46/63. Callaway dropped to 16/45, so that doesn’t look like that’s happened. We had multiple people drop in ability – RB Barrett, Cortez is down to 61/61, DEE Benton is down to 58/58. He’s 31. Here were my rookies before, and now: SE Gorham – 38/73 – 49/79 – Yeah baby! DE Banks – 21/61 – 25/57 LB Ballard – 20/57 – 27/51 LB Stine – 16/56 – 20/52 TE Perry – 24/51 – 31/60 – Yeah! G Lane – 25/49 – Yuck. – 32/51 CB Stephenson – 26/48 – Yuck 31/56 – Okay! S Wally van Pelt – 21/43 – Yuck – 23/38 So some rose and others fell like Banks and Ballard and Van Pelt vs the risers of Stephenson and Gorham and Perry I cut LB owens and its ROSTER TIME!! ROSTER Code:
|
Yay Chiefs!
Who do I want to extend now? Older players - Hatcher? Benton? K Fields? Sterne? Franz? Younger WR Holbert? I extend LB Clinton by a year Next year I have C Sandy and OT Axel that are on the deck for real contracts. I extend Moschetti by 3 years, 8 mill A lot of these players are older and will clearly fall. Sterne for example is 31, but the guy is in his 70s. Even if he falls, wed have coverage. But I have Newhart I can swap in any time. I extend Newhart by 2 more years instead, so I can have him as my next-in-line DT. And if Sterne looks good, I can chase or franchise him. I’m let Benton play out this year and see where we wind up. Again, I can sign, or franchise later. But I don’t want to hurt my cap too much in future years keeping them. I do want to resign Holbert. He wants 4 years and 40 mill and I agree. I’ll let Hatcher play out his deal. Fields has not been playing to his deal, or his talent for that matter so I’m letting him play out. As he is my leader, I extend Franz by 4 years and 12 mill. He has a great system – Cortez just adores him,and others get along, so I want to keep that happy. I let my coaches play a bit, just to see what happens. If I let them run everything, the game thinks we’ll finish 11-5, but a WC due to a 12-4 team in our division, and we’ll lose in the WC round. Flemming had 19.5 sacks, 3 picks, and 4 FF. He was DPotY again and had a concussion and missed one game too. His first missed game. Oh and we had three players tossed on IR, including one starter of quality – WR Holbert, and then one adequate starter – Danieles, and another LB with Stine. None were the bad, “Lose a permanent step” level of injury, luckily. Anyways, that’s not what would really happen. But it’s fun to see the what ifs. Ready? |

And yes, we sent them back for a perfectly winless season! Tamm just exploded all over. MOM – 22 of 26, 296 yards, 5:0. He hit Holbert for 101 yards and 1 score, Gorham for 120 and another, and Perrone for the 3rd score, and RBs Konrad and Jorg. Konrad added 107 rush yards and 1 RD. No picks, FF by Clayton. 5 KRB by sandy, 4 by Banks, 3 by Lane and Kelley We finish 15-1! |
The 2034 NFL Playoffs:
AFC – 1. KC, 15-1 2. Pitts, 12-4 3. Tenn, 11-5 4. Miami, 9-6-1 5. SD, 10-6 6. NY Jets, 9-7 Alright, are you ready for the KC Sternwheeler? Wild Card Weekend Vikes at GMen Jets at Titans Chargers at Dolphins Seahawks at Saints The Giants trounce 41-24, the Titans emerge victorious 18-6, Miami is 28-21 and Seattle 24-20. And that sets up............. Week 2, Divisional Round We host the Dolphins, who pushed us all the way earlier this year when we played. Jacobs is probable and I keep him on the bench for now. But Guzy is back. Once again, Miami pushes us hard, but we win 33-30 in OT. MOM is...QB Chuck Roberts. The old cagey veteran. Tamm was knocked out early and is doubtful for a while. Roberts was 31 of 49, 355, and 3:2 after Tamm was 6 of 7, 76 and 0:0. Holbert had 159 yards, Gorham 128, and 2 scores to WR Brian Gerken and another to TE Perone. Konrad added 33 for 146. And FF by S Franz recovered by DT Byrne, no picks. 2.5 sacks by DE Roberson (I moved him into many of LB Jacobs’ formations). 6 KRB by Guzy, 3 by Lane Danieles is out with a herniated disk, and I IR him. Jacobs is back. Tamm is doubtful and I deactivate him I sign RB Theodore Blackburn back to my squad. I hand Blackburn the FB role Jorg was doing, as he’s better at it. Clinton starts for Danieles New York defeated San Fran 20-16 Seattle lost in Green Bay 24-16 Tennessee won in Pittsburgh 22-19 Week 3 – Conference Championship We host the Titans Green bay hosts the Giants Ready? Green Bay wins 23-20 And we win 26-13 Konrad, MOM, with 32 for 144. Roberts is 14 for 27, 129, and 1:1 and hit Holbert for a score. Dana Cortez with a INT RET TD for a score, and Clayton rocked 2 picks. FF by Newhart, recovered by Benton. Sandeyer with 5 KRb No new injuries..... The 2034 NFL Super Bowl Your #1 Seed 15-1 AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs Vs Your #1 Seed 12-4 NFC Champion Green Bay Packers QB Milas Tamm is still doubtful. I dress him, I case we need him. I also dress Barrett over Jorg. Experience over youth on this stage. Their QB just has a banner day. He is so good. Our defense can’t contain him. 22 of 30 for 316, 3:0. Nasty. Just nasty. Where is Flemming? He got 1 single sack? Any FF? Picks? Nope! Just 6 tackles. Come on Flemming. Anyone else? 1.5 sacks by Cobb, and 1 by Benton, but still nothing major. We had no picks collected on the day. Now, we did get a FF by Cobb that DE Enrique Banks recovered. But that’s it for turnovers. Sigh Well, Konrad wasn’t bad. 34 for 130 and 2 scores. That’s a very, solid, strong Super Bowl performance. And Guzy gave you 4 KRB and Kelley 3. So yay for teamwork.... But still. No miracles from special teams. Well not like you’d expect. On special teams, we forced a fumble, and LB Tyler Hopkins recovered it and returned it 12 yards for a score So we wound up with 21 points from those. But the Pack were chasing us early, and went for 2 twice on TDs to got up to 23-21 vs us in the early 2nd half. But.... Then the MVP of the Game struck. QB Roberts wound up up with 24 of 31, 285, and 3:1. He hit Holbert for 102 yards and 2 scores, and then Perrone for 1 TD and Gorham for 7 for 94 yards. Konrad. Special Teams. Roberts. We get our 2nd Super Bowl win. Oddly. But I’ll take it. Despite all of the other things Roberts did in his career, that was his first Ring, and his first Super Bowl MVP. At the age of 39. Congrats QB Chuck Roberts! I would not be surprised if Roberts retires on that note. That was a fun story for him. And a win is a win. Would I preferred a Tamm win? Sure! But I’ll take any win over a Tamm maybe. Especially a 44-23 win. |
Season Awards:
Super Bowl MVP – QB Chuck Roberts Defensive Player of the Year: Sigh...OLB Randall Flemming All Pro 1st Team: RB Riley Konrad C Randall Sandmeyer OT Axel Kelley LB Randall Flemming LB DeAndre Jacobs All-Pro 2nd Team: QB Milas Tamm SS Randall Clayton Nice! This was long overdue for Jacobs! You are going to excrete a seriously large brick when you see Sandmeyer’s statline. And signing both Kelley and Sandmeyer is about to get rough. Flem, Jacobs, Clayton. Konrad. Tamm. Man I feel good here! |
Ready for Stats!
Passing – Let me show you the whole league: Code:
Front Office Football Eight Tamm led the league with 4401 pass yards, and had a great 32/10ration, 66.0% completion, 101.3 rating, and 25 sacks, 4 fumbles, 2 fumrec. You can’t deny he was tied with Acosta, who won 1st team All Pro, and had a better rating, 400 fewer yards, but better %. Tamm was on target though. Rush! STATS Code:
Again, let me show you the league rushing stats. Konrad’s 1686 rush yards and 15 rush scores both lead the league by a lot over 11 TDs by one and 250 yards over another. His ypc was better than last year and you can see just how many times we rushed with him. But you cannot deny the results of the Konrad. Receiving! Back to just my team Code:
Hello Gorham! Looks sexy, right? That’s the first 1000+ yard season I’ve had. Only 5 players in the league hit 1000. I thought Gorham might have been robbed of Offensive Rookie of the Year, and then I saw a Rb who did very well, so I agreed that Gorham’s lack of an award was justified. Still, you got to love this guy. 97 targets, 70% grabs, and just 2 drops. Gorham is here to stay. Hacther’s injury may have prevented him from getting 1000+ yards too, which would have been uber-cool. Now, I am surprised tt the lack of balls thrown Lluellyn’s way. He has the lowest target % this year by far. I jammed him out there on as many pass plays as I could and you can see he had the 2nd largest # of pass plays on my team after Gorham. Perhaps the quality of the other WRs and options gave Tamm more choices? But that saddens me, because his catch % is so much better than Perrone’s was last year. Oh, and Konrad had more than 2000 yards from scrimmage. KR/PR Mayes was 57 PR, 7.8 avg; 25 KR, 22.6 avg P Derek Grandon 79 punts, 47.7 avg, 31 in 20. K Fields – 32 of 39, long of 51, 53 fo 53 PAT What does it say about Fields that he improves with his neck on the line? Def Code:
Boom, Flemming! He, again, led the league in sacks, albeit by just 0.5 sacks over two players, a DE and DT. Jacobs’s 12 sacks remained 2nd best among LBs this year. I’m surprised by the down year Nicky Cobb had though. 2.5 sacks? Huh. Has the era of the Cobb ended? He entered this season with much better skills than Benton, but Benton still had 11 sacks. It may be time to call up Roberson permanently from the minors, but not for Benton... Pass coverage! Code:
Hello Randall Clayton! Just one pick, sure, but a full 23 passes defensed. That’s on fire. For perspective, the next highest is 18 with 1 Cb, then 16 with another CB, then 14 with 1 S, and then Flemming at 13, with another LB and 1 CB. Moschetti was strong from my nickel. Blocking: C Sandmeyer, 49 KRB, 6 pancakes, 8 sacks allowed Kelley, 37 KRB, 6 pan, 3 sacks allowed OT Byrne, 30, 1, and 4 OG Duzy, 12 starts, 26, 2 and 0 OG Lane, 16, 0, 6 Banks, 4 starts, 14, 0 and 1 sack Sandmeyer proved himself, and led all players in KRB by 8. |
The Flemming Watch:
6 time Defensive Player of the Year 663 solo tack, 157 assists 76.5 sacks, 14 blocks, 59 hurries, 109 QBKD 24 Ints, 3 INT RET TD, 76 pasdef 21 FF, 1 FR TD, 5 FumRec, It’s like every single statline of Randall Flemming is a mic drop. Team Awards: Off Player of the Year: C Randall Sandmeyer – Yup! He’s here to stay, if we can afford him...... Def Play of the Y: Jacobs – Finally. Dude it was time. Seriously past his time. Good jorb Jacobs. Spec Teams Player of the Year: Sigh Fields. And saying so annoys me so much kicker! Rookie of the Year: WR Hunter Gorham. Clearly. No questions asked. He’s sexy as you want him to be. Heart Award: QB Chuck Roberts. Dude. You deserve it. Imagine if a long-lasting Qb who was good and won Pro Bowls and All Pros here and there, like, say, Phillip Rivers, is cut from his team near the end of his career, and he becomes a journeyman for a few years, before he lands on a team with a 2nd year QB who’s good and needs some mentoring from you. And then that QB goes down in the playoffs, and you take over for three games, and get Super Bowl MVp. Think about that story. That is the story that makes movies. Sports movies. Roberts, thanks for all of the fish |
End of Season:
Performance – 90 Value – 53 Profit – 74 Roster = 11 Score – 71 12th worst stadium 10th highest value 13th highest support 11th best Roster 9th worst economy We made 143 mill in cool hard cash, and 99.4% capacity full 6 players make the HOF. QBs Mariota, Winston, Wentz, and then LB Josiah Glover, 3 time All Pro, and then WR Clayton Bradley with 11692 yards, 4 All Pros, 1 ring, league’s fastest man 1. And... then... RB Diego Lorey, from my Browns dynasty. This may be my last inductee from the Browns era. Lorey – 12167 rush yards, 84 rush scores; 4206 rec yards, 28 rec scores, Off Rookie of the year, 2021, 4 time All Pro, Super Bowl MVP< 3 Rings Good job Lorey! That gives my Cleveland era the following HOFers: RB Diego Lorey QB Brendan Arledge OT Shon Coleman DE Julio Stanton DE Joey Horner OT Joe Thomas I’m surprised at the lack of WRs there. But’s FOF8 is very, very hard to make the HOF as a WR. Only one player is in the WR HOF. But Dustin Wright should be here. 1064 catches, 12874 yards, 86 TDs, 4 Rings, 3 All Pros. And I would expect a certain NT and SLB to make it too. Well, it happened... QB Roberts retired on a high note, and, as the Legend of the Game. Good job Roberts! And that gives me a LotG as well. Other retirements of note: WR Rodney Riley, from my Browns dynasty, just retired – 10837 yards, 888 snags, 58 TDs, 4 KR RET TDS, 3 Rings, 2 All Pros OG Ralph Haroldson, 398 KRB, 50 pancakes, 87 sacks allowed, 2 All Pros OG Rickey McEachern, 344, 42 and 53 sacks allowed, 3 All Pros OG Jim Carpenter, 347, 47 and 43, 3 All Pros DE Corwin Willis, 98. Sacks, 4 time All Pro, I suspect HOF Bound DE Grayson Floyd, from my Browns, also just retired WLB Jackson Clark, 1 Ring, Def Rookie of Year, 2 All Pros, 80.5 sacks, 141 QBKD, 108 hurries, etc. Well, he just retired: SLB Karl Rincon, 2 Rings for my Browns, 82.5 sacks, 14 blocks, 79 hurries, 59 QBKD, 827 solos, 231 assit tack, 11 picks, 74 pasdef, 21 FF, 8 Rec, 4 various RET TDS. Rincon was my Flemming. Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2023, and All Pro too. All Pro the next three years, and Def Player of the Year in 2027. I suspect Rincon makes the HOF too. SS Lamont Mitchell, 6 time All Pro, 1 Ring, 37 ints, 156 pasdef, 1331 tack, 424 assists, another HOF? |
Staff – I hand out raises to everyone!
We draft 10th I hire a new Strength Coord. That’s it. I won a Super Bowl! Time to jack up those ticket prices aye? Here are my UFAs: Hatcher Valle Benton Sterne Barrett Fields McCarthy Anyone I want to tag and keep? So here is what I have coming up. I have the following players I need to extend, from their rookie deals: C Sandmeyer T Kelley P Grandon And maybe DE Roberson That’s a lot of cash leaving my front door. Meanwhile I have 52 mill in cap space this year, 40 post-rookies for keeping my peoples Now if I want, I can let Benton and Sterne head home, and just bump up Roberson and Newhart. I have no desire for Valle, Barrett, and McCarthy, and marginal, at best, for Fields. It’s just Benton, Hatcher, and Sterne. Who are between 31 and 33. I don’t want to tag the wrong one, and then mess up my cap for the next three signees, and then QB Miles and RB Konrad. I franchise Benton |
FA Time
I resign a few RFAs. Alright, sticker price time... LT Axel Kelley signs for 4 years, 50 mill C Sandmeyer, 5 years, 74 mill. Mostly flat cap hit at 13 mill each of the first three years P Grandon – 3 years 10 mill I am now left with just 1.6 mill in cap space I can cut Perrone and Felker and save about 15 mill, and 25 mill to cut Cortez So I keep it up. I give SS Clayton 4 years, 42 mill I added a year to LB Roberts’s deal and Clintons I add two years to DE Roberson FS Allen wants serious 34 mill over 4 years cash to sign Let’s head to week 2 and see what I can do to shape my roster Hatcher wants 3 years, 33 mill. Nope. Even if I cut Logan, nope. Not considering his age. Sterne wants 42 mill in 2 years, K Fields 4 years and 25 mill. What do I need? Backup QB Many backup Rbs, Backup TE If I keep Logan, Gerkon, Holbert and Gorham, I think I have a sexy WR corps. I don’t need Hatcher that much. Logan is making 6 mill, so I can save 5 by cutting him. Backup C Starter OG only Backup OT K Maybe Backup DL Maybe fix Cbs. I have aging or disappointing Cbs, so a star rookie or a cheap and solid vet, something like that. Cook has not been what I expected or needed. Actually....hmmm.... I think it would be fiscally wise to extend Cook now, not next year. 4 years, 14.75 mill. Perfect. That’s only 800k more than the cap already was this year and 1.2 mill next, for two years of 4ish mill the following two years. Love it. Alright, I love Sterne, but I’m comfortable letting him go. I have Newhart who’s strong. I extend Cortez to 3 years, 40 mill, and slash his cap this by 13 mill. Yay money! I make an offer for K Fields. I start interviewing folks I make a 2 eyar, 4.2 mill offer to QB Mentor Sam Gardner, who is also the best QB in FA. Week 2 - Hatcher signs with Dallas for 37 mill, 3 years. I was hoping a lack of offers would drop the price. But Hatcher was the 4th best WR in FA. Good luck in Dallas! OG Harvey Gibbons was in FA and signs with New Orleans Week 5 – QB Gardener signs with me. Week 6 – Sterne heads to Indy for 43 mill, 2 years Week 9 – Fields signs. Are y’all ready for the draft? |
The 2035 NFL Amateur Draft
The 0-16 Broncos take the stud QB, Grant Assenov from Liberty at 1.1 We have a lot fo CB talent I scoped out, as well as some OGs and such too. 1.32 arrives and all 6 of the top CBs are off the board. None fell. Instead I have some seriously strong looking Rbs like Mickey Donovan, Tevin Hutson, Amari Gargaro and a nice OLB named Buddy Mulinaro whom I scouted and came back underrated. But I can take Mulinaro and slide him in in the middle of my LB corps easily enough. Let’s Buddy this thing. 2.32 – DT Shaun McKillop? FB Abraham? McKillop is BAP. Which is often how I draft back here at 1.32 and 2.32 and such. Just take what’s there of quality. That’s McKillop. No needs, just quality. Or I could go with a strong looking FB, which may help to open some paths for my RB. Neither is a major need. Perhaps, if he plays as he looks, McKillop could be my NT instead of Raymond down the road. Maybe. Or I can move him. Or I can grab FB Abraham Heinlein and be fine with a new FB. Neither is a need. But both have value. Basically, I would be playing a FB as a FB. But there have been times when I’d run a Rb or a TE instead. So do I want the roster spot for a FB to help better be a FB? Talent at a non-need space, or the best FB in the draft. Man, I’m not sure. This is where I got Newhart, at the 2.30 spot. D Line 3-4 Nts sometimes fall, because they aren’t needed as much. Feh. I go McKillop. FB Abraham goes 7 picks later 3.32 – RB Mason Garrison? I go Garrison. 4.8 - LG Bernie Cooper? RG Moore? I go Cooper 4.32 C Makenzie Baker 5.32 – RB Caden Marsh 6.8 – MLB Norman Horn – Has a few signs of being a grower 6.32 – OT Alexander Luther 7.32 RB Hunter Robertson |
They failed to move the Giants to Bakersfield.
We have an A draft. Here let me show you why: Early Rookie Lookie: NT McKillop – 45/75 LB Mulinaro – 56/75 LG Cooper – 25/60 C Baker – 27/57 RB Garrison – 40/52 RB Robertson – 30/51 LT Alexander – 7/49 LB Horn – 27/49 CB March 25/48 Clearly the class was my first two picks. And I am hoping to move Mulinaro to the middle and I have DT McKillop to have fun with. McKillop is the 6th player on the Green Page, but Mulinaro isn’t on there at all. Our scouts loved Mulinaro because he was a genuine 3-4 LB. Now I scouted a bunch of CBs, hoping they would fall, but you know me, I lay plans in case I need them. I scouted Mulinaro, who appeared to have good solid bars, because he wasn’t at the combine. He was at the top of the LB list when I drafted by score, so he fit where we took him. We think he’s the best LB by potential in the class, and the others are 78 and 77 and then his at 75. But due to his ability and fit in a 3-4 vs a 4-3, he’s the top choice of my coaches and scouts when you search the league for rookie LBs. There are 9 RBs on the Green Page – this was a very dense, thick crop of RBs. 3 in the 70s, and 7 more in the 60s. The best RB on the board was Gargaro when I picked, and he is 52/65, and the 4th best RB in the class. The FB I liked, Heinlein, is 33/68. I was the first to take a C off the board, as it was a weak C class, but I have the best by potential at 28/57. The others are 54, 53, 47, 45 and 38 potential. When I took Cooper, there were two better OGs still on the board – Wells and Gordon. Both went late 4ths. I could have taken them in the 4.8 spot easily. McKillop appears to be the best D Lineman in the draft. Unless we get a big bunch of roses helping out, CB Marsh was a big miss. We have like 5 CBs and 2 Ss that had better potential when I grabbed Marsh. Ah well Late FA No holdouts Week 2 – RT Valle heads to Oakland Week 3 – I signed all 7 UFAs I targeted. |
Camp Time!!!
We sold 50,800 season tix I get a trade offer I like. A 2nd rounder in the future for WILB Alexander Roberts, a 56/56 guy. I take it. I move SILB Danieles to WILB and my rookie to SILB. This guy looks pretty sexy Whoa! I just had a major UFA boom: UFA WR Ted Frederick, 34/54 – He was 28/49 when he arrived pre-cap Campy Rookie Lookie: NT McKillop – 45/75 - 52/74 LB Mulinaro – 56/75 – 66/78 LG Cooper – 25/60 – 31/61 C Baker – 27/57 – 34/59 RB Garrison – 40/52 – 44/55 RB Robertson – 30/51 – 32/47 LT Alexander – 7/49 - 13/47 LB Horn – 27/49 – 33/51 CB March 25/48 – 29/49 WR Frederick – 28/49 - 34/54 I cut my 3d round draft pick mistake from last year, SS Wally Van Pelt I trade DT Louie Nabors to the eagles for their 4th and 6th in 2038 I cut RG Bernie Sch I cut WR Caiden Martin, another draft bust As he is no longer my backfield leader, I trim LB Ricky Clinton. We go a surprising 1-3 in preseason Do I want to lock in FS Chandler Allen as my starter for something like 4 years, and 36 mill? Let’s take a look At 59/59, Allen is the 6th best free safety in the league, and the 18th if you include all safeties. Sounds good to me. But I hate to lock down future Cap stud when I have a few rookies about to hit their final year that could be really pricey – QB Tamm, RB Konrad, TE Lluellyn All of those are key players at key positions. Now I can certainly play Konrad out for two more years and then let him go. Right now he wants 5 years and 76 mill. Nope. I’m clearly not touching, we all know he’s a product of the system and the great O Line play we’ve had. But Tamm and Lluellyn are something I need to retain. We sign him. It’s not easy to get high quality safeties where we draft. These past couple of years have been changing of the guard for the Chiefs, an it’ll continue. I inherited a team with a great set of skill positions at WR and TE – Perrone and Gretzky at TE, and King and Co at WRs. I got a studly D Line with folks like DT Sterne, DE Cobb, and DE Benton. Plus, I had a solid, 61/61 CB in Derek Felker. Today, post-camp and preseason: Felker has dropped to 36/36 and I deactivate him, in his final year with us Cobb is down to 65/65 TE Perrone is down to 49/49 in his final year, and will be my #3 TE on my roster DE Benton is 52/52 after franchisement |
Alright,
Late Rookie Lookie: NT McKillop – 45/75 - 52/74 – 55/81 – BOOM! LB Mulinaro – 56/75 – 66/78 – 71/79 LG Cooper – 25/60 – 31/61 – 32/63 C Baker – 27/57 – 34/59 – 34/60 RB Garrison – 40/52 – 44/55 – 47/63 – Interesting... RB Robertson – 30/51 – 32/47 – 30/41 – BUST - Cut LT Alexander – 7/49 - 13/47 – 13/44 LB Horn – 27/49 – 33/51 – 34/59 BOOM CB March 25/48 – 29/49 - 31/52 WR Frederick – 28/49 - 34/54 – 36/54 We’re going to keep the 4th round rookie Cooper out there and grow him. I’m moving Garrison to my primary backup Frederick now my 3rd WR, Logan is 4th Here’s muh roster: Code:
Front Office Football Eight I fast sim the season, just to check in, but obviously, we won;t play it fast speed. I like the slow and steady and give me a chance to make changes to depth charts, IRs, and such. We go 12-4, win the AFC West, #2 seed, make it to the Super Bowl, and lose to the Lions. Awards include League MVP Elias Tamm, Offensive Player OTY – Tamm, All Pro – Tamm, Guzy, and Kelley. Let’s play this thang |
Close call on the title! But progress!

We’ll just move from my rotating Des to Benton and Roberson only Week 12 – We host the 7-3 Lions and beat them, barely, 20-19. MOM is Tamm with 21 of 33, 198 and 1:0 and hit RB Garrison for the score. Konrad was 19 for 91 and 1 TD. FF by Mulinaro recovered by Jacobs. 3 KRb beach by Sandy, Kelley and Guzy. Picks by Cortez, Moshetti and Danieles. FF by Benton and backup LB Ballard, recovered by Flemming. 4 KRB Sandy, 3 each Byrne and Guzy We do have a pretty big-ish, injury. For the rest of the regular season, WR Holbert is out. He should be available for the postseason though. We are 11-1 heading into the final quarter |
Week 14 – The Bears fall before our onslaught 27-6. MOM is Tamm with 19 of 24, 197 and 2:0. Konrad and Logan with TDs. Konrad had 20 for 98 and another TD. FF by Benton and Clayton, Roberson recovered one. 3 sacks by Benton. 3KRB by Kelley

The 2035 NFL Super Bowl
Your #1 Seed AFC Champion 15-1 Kansas City Chiefs Vs Your #5 Seed NFC Champion 10-6 Dallas Cowboys Now the boys are no joke. They dominated their games. 43-6? 37-14? On the road? They did well to get here, don’t ignore them. We are only favored by 4. We win 34-31 in OT> MOM is Tamm who would not be denied. 28 of 50, 387, 3:1, and he got a ground TD too. Konrad was 18 for 100. WR Holbert? 8 for 129 yards. Gorham? 6 for 100 and 1 TD. WR Frederick and TE Perry with scores. Picks by DT Newhart and CB Moshetti. FF by Benton and Jacobs. K Rusieczky was 2/2 and 4/4 PAT and scored a game winning kick in OT. Not a bad day for a street FA starting in his first game for us in the biggest game of his life. Mulinaro led the team in tackles and had 1 sacks too. 5 KRB by Guzy, 3 by Cooper and Sandmeyer. That’s my 3rd Super Bowl with the Chiefs! |
I'm not actually a Browns fan, but my favorite Brown, who hadn;t played in a while, called it quits today, Joshua Cribbs. Here's to you Cribbs!
Former Cleveland Browns return specialist Josh Cribbs officially retires |
Season Awards:
NFL MVP – QB Elias Tamm Super Bowl MVP – QB Elias Tamm Offensive Player of the Year – QB Elias Tamm Defensive Player of the Year – SLB Randall Flemming Defensive Rookie of the Year – SiLB Buddy Mulinaro All Pro 1st Team: QB Tamm, RB Riley Konrad, C Randall Sandmeyer, OG Liam Guzy, LB Flemming, All Pro 2nd Team: WR Hunter Gorham What...the...? Where was Allen? Well, everyone up there deserved to be, unquestionably, save for, maybe, Tamm. He led the league in one good stat you’ll see (QB Rating by a bunch) and just barely another (TD). Konrad, Gorham, Guzy, Fleming, Konrad, Mulinaro, Sandy – all unquestionable. But Allen? Where is the guy who led all safeties, every single one, with 6 picks. The next were 2 safeties with 5, and the rest had 4 or fewer picks. How does a 6-pick guy who leads the league in picks at his position all by himself not make the All Pro list? |
Stats:
Passing: Code:
Again, here is the league, sorted by QB Rating. He was 5th in passing yards, led my TDs by 1 over two others, and had a better QB rating. The 34:5 ratio is intimidatingly good. We have entered the Era of the Tamm Receiving! Code:
Gorham was 2nd in the league in both rec yards and rec TDs. When I think that Lluellyn had a good season, here are the real stats. He was 17th among TEs for REC Yards. Just 17th. Now he is the 7th best TE by current ability and 8th by future. So I’d like to see more from him too. Is it the busy WR Corps keeping him down? Part of it may be the low # of targets. He had fewer target target # than most other, despite boring on the field a lot. Rushing? Code:
League Stats again are displayed, and he was 2nd in rush yards, tied with 2 others for most rush scores, and such Mayes – 37 PR, 9.2 avg; 26 KR, 24.3 avg K Fields – 22 of 37 KG, long of 56, and 61/63 PAT P Grandon – 72 punts, 48.7 avg, 26 in 20 Defense = Code:
One of the good things I like about Buddy Mulinaro is that he;s good already. Faster than Shea or Jacobs in embracing his role. I can, later, slide him to Flemming’s spot if Flemming has to retire. Flemming is 29, but for now, is still on top of the league and his game after his 7th year. He led my team in sacks with 11, and we had a down sack year. Jacobs’ 8 was fine, and Benton did nothing, I’m glad I didn’t retain him longer. I feel like my older Benton and Cobb need to head on out of here. Coverage Code:
6 picks from Allen Is great, and still, how no ALL PRO? 3 picks by lots of folks too – Flem, Moschetti, Mulinaro, and even Cortez and such with value. Lots of KRB by Clayton and Cook too. Blocking! Code:
Sandy led the league in KRB, and Guzy was 2nd heading into the final week but had a weak blocking day and finished 4th in KRB. Both had very strong seasons. Kelley was good too, Coop was fine, with just 2 sacks allowed and 21 KRB, and then Byrne was okay in 11 games, but not special or anything. |
Team Awards
Offensive Player of the Year: QB Tamm. Duh, Dude gets NFL Off Player of the Year, Dude gets my own team award too. Unless he;s been like DPOTY For 7 years in a row. Def. Player of the Year: FS Chandler Allen. Come on now. Dude was better than my All Pros on Defense Special Teams Player of the Year: P Grandon – He was 2nd in the league in punt average, but his low punt #, vs the others, probably kept him from All Pros. But he was still strong. Rookie of the Year: LB Buddy Mulinaro – Defensive Rookie of the Year? That’s studly awesome! Good job Buddy. Good jorb. Heart Award: S Franz – I was initially leaning towards Franz for special teams play this year with fumbles recoveries and that score, but Grandon earned his spot, and that’s good heart anyway, right? Franz is not my dime or nickel back, so he only plays occasionally, and yet, 2 picks, both returned for scores. So tht’s three INT and FUM TDs this year, one on special teams, and 2 on D. Good stuff Franz! We used to have a powerful slate of Defense, and weaker Offense, and you could tell come Awards season. But you can tell we swapped over this year. We had just 1 Defense All Pro with Flemming, but 5 All Pros for my Offense, including three major skills positions and two O Line. The Flemming Watch 7 year in league, 7th consecutive Defensive Player of the Year 763 solo tackles, 178 assists 87.5 sacks, 15 blocks, 68 hurries, 138 QBKD 27 int, 85 pasdef, 4 INT RET TD 26 FF, 7 Fumrec, 1 FUMREC TD |

So I am starting to get a little bored of the Chiefs. I got them to a strong place quickly. We just had NFL MVP, and both Off and Def Players of the year, and Def Rookie of the Year. I have studs lined up and down the draft, and quality players at multiple places, not just the 1st round. 2.32 with Tamm to 7.31 with Danieles and more. One good example of this is Enrique Banks, who I picked up late 5th. If you’ll recall, that year I showed you the top players on the board of the draft at 1.31. And you could see Banks was one of the best players on the chart. Now he’s nothing major. He’s not Roberson or Cobb, he’s just a solid player. He never grew like I hoped, but he was there.
Anyways, I feel like I got to the point where the Chiefs are on autopilot. So let’s do something else. I want to make this tougher. Should I switch to another team? Do I want to move to San Diego? The losingest team of the last 20 years, and in the same division as these Chiefs? Right now, I doubt I move my team to a Otto Graham candidate, because we keep missing on the UFA Graham options. Plus, before we had a stud D. But now it’s in transition. This year, the Chiefs, despite not having a whole lot of needs, is picking 1.7. And 1.32 as well. Hit on those both and we are just nasty. Make that 1.7 a top flight player at a major position and we are just nasty. Good news about the Chargers? They were the worst team last year and have the 1.1 pick. But, otherwise, they are sucking. Where is Tamm right now? He is the 13th best QB in the league by current rating. We grabbed him at the 2.32 spot, outside of the top 50. How many other of the top QBs in the league are from lower? All of the QBs better than Tamm were 1st rounders in the top 5 picks, save for 1 taken at 1.21. Then 2 at 1.2, and then a 2nd.18 next, and then 5.21 (Conrad Rhodes, taken by us), and then all 1. And first five for the rest. So of the top twenty five Qbs in the league, only 4 were taken outside of the top 6. (I found a pair of 1.6s later) at 1.21, 2.18, 2.32 and 5.21. Now San Diego has a solid 63/63 QB right now it’s the rest of the team that is stuck in suck. They have a good, young CB, OG, LT, and QB. And a not-bad RB. No one else young and not a K in the 60+ range for current or potential. So, Chargers? I could see it. What about helping out the Bears as they reboot in Colorado Springs? The only major question is one of loyalty to Flemming. I would like to see him finish out his career with me. He is the best player I’ve ever had. That’s the only reason I’d stay. But I had him for 7 seasons. Time to move on. I’ve built the Chiefs up into a major force. Up and coming powerhouse offensively, and still defensive talent in a variety of places. Chargers? Or how about a team with the 8th pick instead, who needs a QB badly, and has a depleted roster and the 5th worst record in the Bills. Actually, they aren’t that depleted. Nevermind. 5 70+ players into DE NT, and 3sx LB.6 more in the 60s, including 68 RB, 2x Cbs, and more. |
Hello Chargers
Chargers pre-FA roster, 2036 Code:
The Chargers: We finished last season 2-14. We have a 124-196 record, the worst in the last 20ish years, and as you can see, we don’t have a lot of cap space either. Now, for a time, we’ve actually done well with the last few top picks. 1.12 was OG Chad Bening, 1.4 the year before we had CB Carton Pigg, and then at 1.5 th year before LT McHugh. Before that at 1.11 was the more disappointing RT Fisk, and then 1.3 QB Lofton. All great(ish) players. And then the less valuable OG Cary McWilliams begins the age of draft suckage again. But you can’t just build a team with a few hits in the 1st round. You need to get in there for later picks, especially at the top of the 2nd. We also have serious cap issues. Now QB Lofton is 37 mill this year. That’s a lot of cap, our cap total is 294 this year. DE Wells is out for 37 weeks with a torn patellar tendon. My quick assessment by position: QB good for now RB – fine for now TE – Okay for now WR - Meh. Need one star C – Are you kidding me? Knowing just how many quality Cs you can get in UFA or later in the draft, how do you have this bad of a C? OG Need one starter bad OT Fine P – Yeah K – Good DE – 1 of quality needed badly Dt? We run a 3-4, so we’re okay with the 54/54 guy there. LBs – Are you kidding me? Total renovation needed, much like I did in Cleveland and KC. We have to totally rebuild the LB Corps. CBs – 83 is fine, 56 guy is older. S – We need a star here, anywhere LS too |
Staff draft
We pick 26th I hire a new HC who is 11 higher suitability than our current guy Ditto OC My DC is a stud and I don’t touch him I hire Khalif Barnes formerly of the Jags, as my Assistant Coach. There’s no junky person here I want to keep with my franchise tag. One of the reasons I like these Chargers is that they have a solid QB already and someone I can build a major team around as he nears the end of his career, and then hopefully transition to my next Otto Graham, so that’s my goal. I am also going to make this challenge a little harder and I am also adding a layer of faster in-season play. From here on out, I will not set the depth charts of my players. I am just a GM, and will let my coaches do everything they want with depth charts and plays and all of that other stuff. Ready? |
The 2036 San Diego Chargers FA Begins
We have a lot of work to do But the first thing I am doing is scoping out the draft Now let me ask you a hypothetical question. Assuming that there was a stud QB on the board at the 1.1 spot...should I take him? Someone who came back great from multiple angles. Should I grab him? What would you do if you had the 14th best QB in the league, but just having hit the 1.1 spot for a 2-14 season? Would you make a play for that QB? Trade down with a QB hungry team? Draft and then trade your veteran in a year or two? What do you do? I don’t think you draft the stud QB. I think you go elsewhere. Here is the best player in the draft, at any position, regardless of need: Interviewed at Underrated, 5 combine scores, all red, DE Zachary Toth. You have to take that sort of talent, right? Now my best DE is injured and my 2nd best is UFA> I can use this guy. Alright, so I’m coming out of this thing with a stud DE. Good. What else? Anyone on my roster I need to re-up? Nope, I have to trim a lot of cap. Where is my money going? QB Lofton – 37 mill CB Pigg – 30 mill LT McHugh – 20 mill CB Bishop – 20 mill FL Scott – 16 mill LB Spencer – 12 mill DE Weber 10 mill LT Brink 9 mill SS Westerfield 7.9 mill RT Fisk, 7.8 mill DT Godfrey, 7.8mill OG Bening, 7.6 mill TE Gaylor, 7 mill QB Kranchick – 6 mill I’m okay with everyone on that list (although several at the top are pretty pricey) save for...CB Bishop (too much for the result) , 31 year old CB starter who last year, started all of our games, had 1 pick and 8 Pasdef, and in his entire career for us, including starting every game of his career save for 3 due to injury, just 2 INTs and 45 PD. Why Bishop? And FL Scott is find in the 50s, but has had just one 1000+ year in his career despite a solid QB throwing to him for us. And Spencer is way too expensive as well for a mid 50s 28 year old LB. I cut DE Weber, too expensive and aging, and LT Brink, my 3rd best OT. SS Westerfield played well last year with 3 INts and 6 picks. Solid. 8 mill for him is fine. Fisk, Godfrey, Bening, they are all fine. I cut QB Kranchick, and TE Gaylor is a bit much as well. In FA I’ll look for cheaper options for some of these folks. I trim Gaylor now, with Sullivan at 51/51 on board already I now have 8 mill in cash under my rookie needs. I sign RFAs – TE Amir Graham, CB Dixon, I cut RB Leroy, who was 4 mill an backup WR Nicky Robbins with 3.5 mill. Oh and C Guthrie as well. Alright, now I have some cap space. I extend: QB Autenrieth by a year RG Chad Bening, 45 mill, 4 years WR George by a year |
Alright, FA Time
Week 2 - I make offers to: LS Ed Jackson, a 100 LS guy P Edward Morrison Now, there is one amazing studlike player in FA – 84/84 CB Jorge Odenbach, 6 year vet. Want to send him a crap-ton of cash? I’d rather pay him than my current #2 who sucks. So do I need two great studs at CB? Or should my cap head elsewhere? Now I can cut CB Bishop, save 10 mill this year, and then use that 10 mill to defray the cost of Odenbach. But 12 mill this year and more is not doable with my cap in this condition. Paying megabucks for a QB changes the math of a team. I don’t have the cap agility to make this player, even though dropping from a 31 56/56 to 26 year old 84/84, would normally be worth it all, day, long. But not tonight. I need that cash. I trim CB Bishop, and make an offer to CB Middlehurst, a 55/55 guy for 13 mill over three years. C Darren Sheldon, 2 years, 7 mill, will be leader and make two others happy. I make an offer to DE Benton for 2 years, 8.5 mill. SS Irving Maloney, 2 years, 6.8 mill Let’s advance... Week 3 - CB Odenbach signed for 120 mill over 4 years. I bump my offer for Middlehurst. Week 4 – We bring in DE Benton. CB Middlehurst signs with Miami for more than 1 mill less than we were offering. I make an offer to retain CB Darien Overbeck for 7.24 mill over 2 years I cut DE Sullivan Week 6 – We sing SS Maloney. SS Maloney is amazing. He has a 6 Run D, and then 92, 34, 98, 83, 94, 98 in the rest of his stats. He seems like a natural FS, so I move him to FS. Week 7 – P Morrison arrives. We trim P Copeland. C Sheldon arrives too. Week 9 – We bring back our CB Target Week 10 – We bring in LS Ed Jackson I make an offer to SLB Corey Proxmire for 3 years, 11 mill, come in as a leader Week 11 – I bring in Proxmire |
DRAFT TIME
Let me show you the mammoth of a man I am amount to take... 4.54 dash 36 Sole 35 STR 7.10 AGI 10-06 BJump All reds. Compared to all other Des in the draft he is the fastest, 3rd smartest, strongest, most agile (by far, btw) and best BJump. That’s a horse of a stud. He is ready for a close encounter of the sack kind. ![]() Dude is on fire I don’t even care that he’s a 4-3 DE and not a 3-4 one. Dudes that good are very much on their own, you know? Now, if you’ll recall, I dropped my ability to trade picks for picks. So no trading this pick for a bevy of more picks. We’re taking Toth at the top of the draft and moving on. I want to make Toth my Stanton, Horner, Cobb style stud DE who brings in the numbers, the QB drops, and the All Pros. Two of those three made the HOF from my career, while both Cobb and Benton from the Chiefs are still active. |
At the 2.1 spot, tjere are a few LBs I like that I scouted. And there is talent elsewhere, but I need LBs so badly, I’m juts taking the best, irregardless of spot, and moving on. I take WILB Cameron Cook.
3.1? MLB Berns is very underrated, and has good combine score,s but lower bars. I suspect a grower. I Draft him too, 4.1? At this point, my roster is so weak, it’s just BAP 4.1 DE Parker Maumalaga (I think I could slide him to DT) Shower? We have no 5th rounder after trades. 6.1 CB Patrick Neavitt – Good bars 7.1 LB Corbin Thaubitauck Early Rookie Lookie – DE Toth, 67/91 DE Maumalaga, 34/73 LB Cook – 41/72 LB Berns – 34/52 LB Thaphituck – 28/52 CB Nevitt – 13/50 And there we are. C+ draft grade. On the Green Page, Toth is 1st and Mau 5th. |
Late FA:

DE Maumalaga, 34/73 – 41/76 LB Cook – 41/72 – 48/70 LB Berns – 34/52 – 39/53 Ummm....where’s my grower? I cut Harrison Gurley |
We go 2-2 in the preseason and finish with three questionables and three more probable. I have IRd Wells.
Cut time: I slice QB Omar Weaver, WR Herman Allen, LT Meier, CB Dixon, LB Levesque, DE Knightly, QB Garcia, K John Hines. K Elijah Fields was cut by the Chiefs. I sign him. Here we go with that roster thang
ROSTER Code:
Hers we ares Now, as I mentioned above, I wanted to let my coaches change depth charts and such. I am just running the GM side of the house, in case of IRs or anything. But we’ll fast sim, ish, the season in a moment. Before I do, lets look at what happened with the Chiefs this year: They signed Tamm to a big deal for 150 over 4 years; they handed Riley Konrad 53 over 4 years. Lluellyn 50 over 4 years. Season Awards
Offensive Rookie of the Year: RB Carlton Hamilton That’s it. Hamilton was pretty crappy actually, just no other rookies mattered, and he started for a bunch of games when our starter was down twice with injury. Many Chiefs won awards including RB Mason Garrison, DeAndre Jacobs, FB Sedrick Willis, a rookie with an All Pro award and more. The Flemming Watch Had a down year with just 1.5 sacks, 2 picks, and 5 pasdef |
Stats:
QB Lofton – 364 of 537, 67.8%, 4081 yards, 32:21 ratio, 93.7 rating, 35 sacks, 8 fumbles, This was Lofton’s 2nd best year of his career. RB Hamilton – 187 for 742, 6 scores RB Imme, 111 or 436, 1 score Imme is supposed to be our best RB starter, but only had 6 starts. REC Code:
WR Scott had a ton of yards at 1312 and 8 scores. He led the league in yards, and 4th most in TD scores. He should have been All Pro all day long, but ah well. WR Britt Shea was 643 yards, and 9 scores K Fields – 29/32, 40 of 41 PAT, long of 52 P Morrison – 78, 46.9 avg, and 31 in 20 DEF STATS Code:
Huh Toth. 8.5 isn’t bad, but I expect for lots mores. 3rd most in hurries btw for the league. You can see some good and some bad. D Backs Code:
S Maloney’s 4 picks was solid. We have 3 each by Pigg and Bohme as well, nicely. Good stuff, but I want to start getting ints and coverage from the LB defense. Blocking – C Sheldon – 30 KRB, 1 pancake, 8 sacks allowed OT McHugh, 29 KRB, 7 pancks, 14 sacks allowed OG Bening, 27 KRB, 1 pan, 6 sacks OT Fisk, 23 KRB, 1 pan, 4 sacks OG McWilliams, 21 KRB, 0 and 3 sacks Not great. Not great at all... |
Team Awards:
Off. Player of the Year: WR Scott = led league in rec yard, didn’t get All Pro because they are dummies, and had a great season for us. Def. Player of the Year: FS Malney. Led team with 4 picks, and had a lot of good, solid pressure from various places Special Teams Player of the Year: K Fields. Yup, he’s good alright. Rookie of the Year: DE Tuft. Led my team in sacks, almost led the league in Hurries. In Tuft we Trust. Heart Award: RB Hamilton – Won a great award mostly starting for my club, despite his undrafted nature. Hamilton had a solid year, and did it from nowhere, so good job! I’m very surprised by the 10-6 record, an 8 game improvement from last year! |

We just hit our 15th year for the stadium here in San Diego. Do I want to renovate? Build a new one?
Our current stadium: Opened in 2022 Retractable Roof. Grass 62700 capacity 14700 Club Seats 184 Luxury Boxes Very Good condition Good Turf and Parking No support for projects locally. We only filled about 60% of the total from last We did have a lack of cash from the last season. Now I could submit a new stadium plan, and then when it gets rejected, we’d be able to move elsewhere. Just like potentially in real life. But I like the Chargers in San Diego and not someplace like Las Vegas or Chicago or San Antonio or something. San Diego in 2037: 3.620 mill 6.0 % Growth 58k average income 19.2% poverty level Very High Entertainment Competition – 92nd percentile High Trend Setting = 72nd 1 team without 250 and 4 within 500 miles. We have the region to ourselves, with the Rams down by LA, and the other two teams as well up north. Now, what are the biggest cities without a franchise? Chicago Riverside Anaheim St. Louis New Brunswick Newark San Jose New Haven Sacramento San Antonio All have at least 2 mill folks. I offer a plan for a huge, expensive stadium that would really put our own one to shame, knowing we’d likely lose, just in case I want to open up that window later Staff Draft – We pick 26th: I make no changes to my staff. Anyone I wanna franchise? Yup. I tag K Elijah Fields |
2037 FA
We pick 26th in each round We have 36 players under contract and 60 mill under the cap, 48 mill post-draft I make offers to these RFAs: TE Kerry Peters RB Carlton Hamilton TE McCaskill C Leung C Bell OG Arnold CB Junkin CB Comegys DE Meadows DE Horton LB Cortez And now 47 under contract We are missing starters at: WR Maybe FB OG DT CB LB in places I cut DE Matthew Wells I extend K Fields by 3 years, 18 mill I don’t extend anyone else. They either have lower quality, older, or have question marks over them. Week 2 – The Chiefs cut TE Lluelyn. If I didn’t have TE Perry, I might make a play. Also let go were WR Holbert, RB Riley Konrad, DT Newhart, CB Cook and FS Allen. Cook is the 2nd best FA at CB, a solid, young 61/61 body. My best corner not named Pigg is a 41/41 CB. This is a major upgrade. I make an offer for the Cook for 4 years, 50 mill. By far, Holbert is the best WR in FA< and cheap too. I make an offer for 3 years, 18 mill. I can’t make a play for Allen, but it would be funny if I did. He had 7 picks last year and still, no All Pro for the guy. Now, he’s a pure FS, and I’d be willing to bring in a top flight S all day long, but I like what FS Maloney brought last year. Although Maloney is old. I can’t see him moving to SS ever given his lack of Run Stopping. So Allen is miscast on my team. The 2nd best OG out there is Lucas Lucas, from my old Cleveland dynasty, but he’s 58/58, and 33 years old and just ones a one year deal at this point. I make an offer for memory and ability, for4 mill. 7th year vet WLB Lukas Hanson is a pass rush specialist, and the best LB in FA, and I make hima 4 year 20 mill offer. Huh. I make another offer to a long-time player, DT Damien Alcott, 36 years old, from my Cleveland Dynasty, with 6 All Pros. He’ll be a rotational guy, and not a full time starter, but why not? Ready? Week 3 – Cook signs. I have to up Holbert’s offer to pass other competitors. Week 4 – Holbert signs. DT Newhart heads to LA, Konrad to LA as well. Week 5 – FS Allen heads to Carolina. Week 6 – Our DT Campana moves out to Colorado Springs to join the Bears. TE Lluellyn heads to Atlanta. Week 7 – Lucas Lucas signs with us. Our CB Bohme headst o Green Bay. Week 8 – LB Hanson joins us. Week 9 – All quiet Week 10 – DT Alcott signs with us I look at some rookies. Who do I like? Who may fall to 1.26? Not a whole lot of talent Week 11 – FB Meadows signs with Green Bay I double check, no one major I want to bring in pre-draft. We have 51 players under contract, but I signed all of the decent RFAs, many of which may get cut laters |
The 2037 NFL Amateur Draft
Carolina kicks off the night with a RB, Vince Wooly of Boston College. This appears to be a weak draft. I tried to set myself up to just BAP, and I interviewed players at SS, LB, DT, OG, TE, WR and more that I think might fall, 3rd best, 5th best with cool bars, uncombined players and more. But, again, it feels weak to me. See you at the 26 spot The only stud LB in the draft wound up heading 1.4. Typically, that’s way too early for this level of quality, but not this year. Who do I like still on the board? Anybody fall? C Darius Tate – this guy us not a position of need. But 4 reds, 1 blue, and an absolute stunner of a grade. He looks high, high quality stud. Much like a Sandmeyer style C. Is it worth the upgrade to a Sandy C? Even though C isn’t close to my needs? OGs Cary Wagner or Zach Posey – Both look good here. Either has potential starter quality lovin. Or maybe OT Bucky Lehan. That’s it. Who is the bigger upgrade? Mid-50s OG to Wager/Posey? Or Mid-5os OC to Tate? Here’s a pic. Who do you like best? ![]() I like Wagner blind with the higher endurance, obviously. Wag or Tate? When in doubt, take the better player. Tate it is. Both OGs head off in the early 2nd round. |
I was watching for talent, and DE Delgadillo was intriguing to me before Baltimore took him at the 57 spot right before our 58th pick. Ah well. Easy come...
There isn’t that much talent left on the board to be frank. I grab an OG with good looking bars, see if he lasts. Then the 3rd gest there, and there’s a solid NT Stone available. Stone si slow and stupid, with greens in both, but nice bars. Shower or Bust? I take him Now in the 4th, I hew an odd direction, P Richard Lynn, the best P on the board, and looks like a stud. This is how weak the draft is. Taking a P in the 4th. 5th – 7th, all BAP. 2nd – OG Wade Conley 3rd? NT Stone 4th – Punter Richard Lynn 5th - CB Devin Springer 6th – DE Timothy Eiguren 7th – LB Jamal Glave, CB Dave Vaughn I interviewed Glave, he’s the best LB oin the board, has 2 reds, 2 blues, but he came back very overrated. Here in the 7th? I’ll take him Early Rookie Lookie: C Tate – 35/88 P Lynn – 74/87 NT Stone – 33/71 LB Glave – 17/60 RG Conley – 18/59 DE Eiguren – 32/55 CB Springer – 24/42 CB Vaughn – 29/40 This was a weak draft. We had a B draft grade We had one (non-kicker) player in the 80+ potential range, C Tate, who I walked out with. 7 in the 70s, A measure to move the Giants to Honolulu failed. Our stadium vote did as well. |
Late Free Agency
SS Julio Westerfield is oddly holding out, despite the serious amount of cash he is getting paid I thought about cutting him due to a cost benefit analysis. I make offers to these RFAs” RB Evan Farmer RB Heath Vautour LB Sean Oland LT Samuel Wells QB Jerry Kramer And to bring back OG Arnold for 2 more years. Week 3 – 1 signs Week 4 – Everyone else is in |
CAMP
SS Westerfield ends his holdout. We sold 32,900 season tix I cut P Morrison. C Bell. SS Rogers, DT Godfrey, LT Wells, DE Keegan, LB Gomez, C Leung, LB Oland, QB Kramer, Campy Rookie Lookie C Tate – 35/88 – 43/87 P Lynn – 74/87 – 74/86 NT Stone – 33/71 – 39/71 LB Glave – 17/60 – 24/58 RG Conley – 18/59 – 24/60 DE Eiguren – 32/55 – 37/58 CB Springer – 24/42 – 28/41 CB Vaughn – 29/40 – 33/42 We finish the pre-season 1-3, and with a few injuries – OG Bening starts out and will return in a few weeks. SE Scott and FS Maloney are both questionable for a few weeks but’ll start. ROSTER! Code:
You can see the power of our D Line moving forward. We also have the two old guys, Lucas Lucas and DT Alcott starting. But I suspect that DT Stone will start either later this year with more experience, or next year. RB Imme looks solid moving forward, as does TE Perry, a major Undrafted haul. |
Final Rookie Lookie
C Tate – 35/88 – 43/87 – 45/87 P Lynn – 74/87 – 74/86 – 74/81 NT Stone – 33/71 – 39/71 – 39/65 LB Glave – 17/60 – 24/58 – 23/55 RG Conley – 18/59 – 24/60 – 25/60 DE Eiguren – 32/55 – 37/58 – 39/66 CB Springer – 24/42 – 28/41 – 28/40 CB Vaughn – 29/40 – 33/42 – 33/50 So you can see some rookies moving and others falling. CB Vaugh grew 10 pot from draft to start of the season. NT Stone dropped 4, and Glave 5. DE Eiguren rose 11, and CB Spring appears on a minor slide or just a readjustment. After everything, here are all of the non-kickers with pots of 70+ from the draft: C Tate - 87 DE Tatum - 83 TE Sarnow – 75 RB Gillman – 74 That’s it. Another 17 with a pot in the 60s. Again, not a great draft, so we got the best player at 1.26. Sure, not a position of need, but I’ll take it. Anyone I want to resign now? I extend CB Overbeck by a year; QB Autenreith as well That’s it. |
Season time!
At the halfway mark we are 4-4. WR George is questionable for a week, and various other probables like TE Amir Graham and such. After our win in week 14 puts us up 7-6, DE Amos Benton breaks his leg, a compound leg fracture, out for 50 weeks. I IR him. Will this be the end of his career? We finish 8-8 The 2037 NFL Playoffs – Weekend 1 – Houston hosts and drops Buffao 20-17 Cleveland hosts and envelops Oakland 47-7 Minnesota on the road edges the Eagles 17-16 Saints win on the road 14-7 Week 2 – Cleveland loses in KC 44-19 Houston can’t win in Miami 14-10 Vikings cant stop the Falcons hopes 12-37 Saints head to Detroit and emerge victorious 35-25 Conf Champ – KC beats Miami 30-20 Atlanta beats New Orleans 38-31 Super Bowl – Battle of 14-2 #1 seeds, Atlanta favored by 2. KC wins 30-10 Not even close. Good job Chiefs! |

STATS!
Pass: Code:
Lofton looked good, but would have been better without a random 5 pick game in the season. 3rd in pass yards, 27/16 TD INT ratio, and such. But he had a down year compared to last. Rush! Code:
Imme was 2nd in the league in both rush yards and rush scores with 1460 and 12. Which are both good, solid statistics to point too and the 4.5 ypc is okay as well. But this was Imme’s season, and we only had a handful of carries by others backs, like Hamilton. Catch? Code:
Scott had another 1000+ season, although barely. This year, we had 13 1000+ season in the league. But what’s cool here is Imme’s catching season with 736 rec yards and 8 scores. He was the best in the league for RBs for both receiving yards and scores. 20 tds from scrimmage? More than 2300+ yards? Hell of a season! Blocking: Code:
Lucas Lucas led my team in KRBm but his pass blocking has atrophied and he allowed 10 sacks this year, or about 40% of all sacks, which Benning’s just had 1 for comparison sack. Youc an see the various injuries we had this year on my line in a few places Def: Code:
Maumalanga had 12 sacks and a solid year leading my team in the trenches with QB drops, and again you can see the havoc Toth is unfurling even without large sack numbers. SLB Thaphituck, my Karl Rincon/ Flemming SLB in the 3-4 has been fine, but I still need an upgrade there. Pass Coverage Code:
Maloney again proves his worth back there and again leads my team with 4 picks. He was miscast his entire career as a SS and these show it. Great numbers for LB Hanson, and other. SS Westerfield, Cook was a fine signing and so forth. We have room to grow defensively, but we are moving in the right direction, I hope |
We finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs.
Team Awards: Off. Play of the Year: RB Imme. Was great in the league and notched an All Pro to boot. Looks good little man, looks good! Def. Play of the Year: DE Maumalaga He led my team with 12 sacks, collected an All Pro award, and was solid all year long. Good stuff from the Mau Man. Spec. Teams. Play of the year: P Richard Lynn – 3rd highest net average in league, more than 50% of his punts inside the 20. Guy was amazing. Rookie of the Year: C Tate – I actually think P Lynn had a better year, but I already gave him a better award above. So Tate it is! Heart Award: Lucas Lucas – When other older additions, like Benton or Alcott were, at best, okay, Lucas Lucas led my team in KRB. Dude still has that professional attitude. And he is the weakest of my 5 starters too! Yet he had arguably the best year on my O Line statistically. Thanks buddy! I have a logjam at LB moving from 4 starters to three, but it feels like that’s where my team is right now. 21 teams have a 3-4 defense right now, so it feels like the right time to switch as well. Welcome DC Roman Harper I hire a new Str Coord as well who’s much more improved. I have 5 starters heading out – FS Maloney, Lucas, McWilliams, Sheldon and solid depth. But I am not making a franchise tag on any of them either. That’s just bad juju We draft 16th in the 1st round |
Free Agency!
The best player in FA is Sandmeyer. Others let go by the Chiefs include WR Frederick, backups like DE Enrique Banks and CB Stevenson and more. Not sure why you’d left Sandy go. In his first six years he’s S been All Pro 4 times and has 245 KRB. Last year? 46 KRB and another All Pro season I extend QB Loften by 100 mill, 3 years. We have 43 players under contract. I extend CB Pigg by 97 mill, 4 years I have a few players, like RB Imme up this year, but I do not extend them yet. Week 2 – I need: Starting DT Starting SS or FS Starting OG Starting RB for later? Hmmm... I have an idea. Now Sandy has dropped to low 60s in current ability. But I could make him an offer of 80 mill, 5 years, but that’s a long time and a lot of cash to commit. But I could move Tate to RG, he’d still likely be a low 70s RG, and sign a C. Not yet. Soon, perhaps. But not yet. I offer: 2 years, 7 mill to FS Maloney 1 year, 4 mill to OG Lucas Lucas If he wasn’t 30 mill over 3 years, I’d make an offer to WR Frederick. TE Charlie Buning, 12 mill, 3 years, best TE in FA. 13 year vet DT Lenny Sterne is a FA. Let’s sign him over. That’s it: Week 2 – Sterne signs. Week 5 – FS Maloney signs back with us. Again, man, I wish I had that guy in the draft, I would have used him right. WR Frederick went to Green Bay Week 7 – Our TE Buning target signs. C Sandmeyer heads to Seattle Week 9 – Lucas Lucas joins us. DE Banks heads to Minnesota. Time to preview the draft. Anybody I need out there? We have 4 stud-ish, RBs on the board, and I interview them, as well as the top 2 DTs, Ss, 2 CBs, 2 OG. |

Seattle takes a stud QB at 1.1 to kick us off A run on RBs happens just before we pick, and all of the players I scooped are gone, save for thee 2nd best S, Percy Lazuka... Take a look.... ![]() My major concern is the low interception bar, and I ‘ll move him to SS for now to be across from Maloney. Super High volatility. I would have preferred more of a major player, but he’s the best we have at any spots here. 2nd – G Ritchie Hancock – Solid stats, good combine numbers too – 3 blues. 3rd – DT Rex Newton – Good bars and such. Code:
At best you can describe Lofton as adequate. He was 8th in pass yards 13th in pass tds, and 16th in QB rating. His yards, TDs, and such were all down. 87.2 rating? Big tumble. By the way, we were 16th in the league in passing overall. So there you are. Code:
Now we almost had something I’ve never had this dynasty, a 1000 yard TE season. Peters was 3rd in the league among TEs in receiving, with 988 yards. He led my team as well, and you can see Scott and Holbert in here as well as Imme. Those core four are the ones that Lofton has a real affinity for. Note just how often Imme was catching the ball. Good stuff from the RB. Rushing? Code:
Here let’s drill down into Imme. He was 3rd in rush yards (Although just 9 off the #2) and second in Rush scores. Lofton, unlike Tamm from the Chiefs, is no rusher. Dude only rushed 23 times. Blocking? Code:
Check out our stats here too. Note that Lucas Lucas again had a solid season with 27 KRB, 1 pac, and just 4 sacks allowed. The guy knows how to block, he’s been doing it for me for a long time. If he had 1 or 2 more years of blocking at this level he’d get close to 400 KRB for a career. He has great longevity in this league. Flat out, I’m happy to see Bening do well finally, and had a higher block percentage than the other starters. But I need to see a lot more from Tate considering his skill set, as well as it may be time to move away from the idea that my OTs are set moving forward. Fisk and McHugh both were not what I need moving forward. Special Teams: K Fields, 36 of 43 FS, long of 58, 36/37 PAT P Lynn, 90 punts, 39 in 20, 49.00 average Def: Get ready for a surprise.... Code:
Here’s the surprise. You might have thought Toth led my team in sacks given his All Pro and Maumalanga’s absence. Nope. Mad Mau was absolutely on queue with 15.5 sacks. And Mau’s amazingly high 36 hurries led the league by 4. Mad Mau had the better season statistically, other than pure tackles, but he’s not in the All Pro award roster when Toth is. Oh, and check out DT Sterne’s 4.5 sacks, 3 blocks and 6 hurries. I thought you might like that. WLB Hanson dropped the QB hard. Pass Coverage:? Code:
This was Pigg’s first All Pro, and his 5 picks, 2 TDs, and 15 pasdef shows why. He led the team in each of those stats. You can see some nice pasdef for Cook and Maloney, and Mal with 3 more picks, and Nickelback rookie Horner had 3 picks and 1 TD, so solid days there. Note we had 8 Picks returned for scores, a big number. Pigg also had 1 FF, 3 FumRecs, and 1 FR returned for a score |
Team Awards:
Off Player of the year: - TE Peters – Best season from a TE I’ve had in this dynasty, led my team in a relevant stat, and was just this shy of an All Pro. Thanks Peters! Def Player of the Year: CB Pigg. He led my team in so many stats. FumRec, he was the only one with a FR TD, picks, pasdef, etc. Dude had a superlative season, and dude gets my team award. I;m curious as to how many more picks or action from him might have led to DPotY? Spec Teams Player of Year: P Lynn, 4th best in league punting average and other stats. I’ll take it! That’s My Lynn! Rookie of the Year: CB Horner – As a 7th round shower, he’s grown into a 49/65 guy, had 3 picks and pasdef, and was arguably one of the best non-Pigg players on my roster in fighting against the pass. All from the Nickel. Heart Award: DT Sterne. Nicely done Lenny. Remind me next year to get a good kick returner. I have people I drafted on my roster to grow up and replace both Lucas Lucas and Lenny Sterne. So, are you ready to.... |
End of Season
Performance – 66 Value – 37 Profit – 52 Roster 16 Score 51 Value – 4th lowest Stadium – 12th worst Roster – 3rd worst Support – 5th worst Economy = 9th best Hall of Fame: We have 4 inductees: DE Willis, 4 All Pros LB Jackson Clark, 1 Ring, 2 All Pros, 1 Def Rookie of the Year in 2022 SS Lamont Mitchell, 1 Ring, 6 time All Pro And... SLB Karl Rincon – From my Browns dynasty, Rincon 2 Rings, 4 All Pros, 1 Def Rookie of the Year, 2023, and Def Player of the Year, 2027 827 tack, 231 Assit, 82.5 Sacks, 14 blocks, 79 hurries, 59 QBKD 11 Picks, 1 INT RE TD, 74 pasdef 21 FF, 8 FumRed, 2 FR TD Rincon is in baby! Retirements of note: OG Lucas Lucas...Sad. I get it, but sad. If he hadn’t started slowly, he may have eclipsed 400 KRB for his career: Lucas Lucas – 346 KRB, 29 pancakes, 105 sacks allowed, 1 All Pro We also saw OG Wayne Croom, played his whole career in Cleveland, 2 All Pros, 325 KRB, 30 pancakes an 61 sacks allowed, played 1 fewer year than Lucas Lucas. Sterne didn’t retire Others from my various dynasties: SS Randall clayton, played his whole career in KC, finished with 5 Rings, 3 time All Pro. Surprised he is hanging it up this early. Same draft as Flemming. Finished with 19 picks and 126 pasdef. Another couple of years and Clayton might have pushed others for the most PD in a career (current record is 15< Clayton has 6th most) I’m giving you the other retirees I think have HOF Credentials in this list: SILB Frank Newtown, 3 All Pros SS Paul McMichael, 4 All Pros, 26 int and 101 pasdef FL Dixon Bernardino, 4 All Pros DE Farmer, good sats, just one All Pro though I was hoping Clayton would make it, but retiring after 10 seems off. |
Back to Chargers
So after a 10-6, 8-8, and 10-5-1 seasons, and after holding my season ticket prices constant with no real uptick in attendance, I’m very upset by our revenue streams. It’s time to make a move from San Diego. Despite the great local economy and growth, we aren’t seeing that. We are the 4th lowest value franchise in the NFL. Time to move up. I like Vegas, Salt Lake City, Portland as potential landing destinations, here is the late 2030s after booming has happened. Take Salt Lake as a good example – No team within 422 miles, 58k avg income, wants a team 100%, 5.1% growth, 1.77 pop, just 12.3 poverty, 100 trend-setting and that’s solid. Vegas? 239 miles to LA, 1.96 mill, 43k salary, 14.9% poverty, 72nd desire, 30 trend, 4.3% growth. Portland? Currently in -0.6% growth, but still 1.84 mill, 30.8, 12.5 pov, etc. I also lke Honolulu as well. 1,32 mill, 58.700 sal, 10.7% pov, 95th wants us, 6.2% growth. SLC or Hawaii? I submit a plan for a pimped out stadium in SLC for 1.4 bill, and us on the hook for the full 50%. Staff Fun Times I give raises to my coaches in their last year, and head into the draft We pick 22nd. I replace AC Khalif Barnes with a new AC. No need for a franchise tag... Unless I want to force Imme to the table. He wanted a ton of money, but I have multiple big name contracts coming down the pike this year, namely my DEs. He’s just the 21st best RB by current ability, I don’t see a need to tether my cap overly much to him. |
2039 FA!
I extend OG Bening by 4 years, 55 mill. I also ad a year to K Fields and FL Holbert. Do I want to pay 400 to keep both Mad Mau and Big Toth? I sign back 6 RFAs. I need talent in a lot of areas: Key for me is starters at WR, RB, RT this year, (Maybe LT in the future), and that’s a lot of cash to tie up into players that often cost a lot of money. Do I want to commit about 100 mil of my 315 mill cap to my D Line? Do I want to see 40 mill for Mau and 45 mill for Toth moving forward? Rough. Both are All Pros, and both feed off of each other’s presence, and I’m unsure that keeping one and not the other would really help the team. Of course I can just try and lean on the draft for OT, RB, and WR. I pick 1.24 this year, but I would really love to sign some later. And I only have 94 mill in cap space. I sign the one that I know will work later, Mad Mau, and then I can let Toth head into a tag next year, and then sign him from there to a longer term deal. Parker Maumalanga 4 years, 149 mill: Flat cap hit of 31 mill the first three years and then a dummy cap of 56 mill the last. OT McHugh is in his final year, but I’m not extending his 16 mill.eyar cap hit beyond this one to help be cap friendly next year. Any good Fas I want to chase around the block? 76/76 OT Roderick Lane? He wants 85 mill over 4 years. Totally worth it. I could sign him and cut McHugh. He’s just one year younger, but three years of experience less, may help to keep him limber for a while. Do I want to lock that down? Let’s scout the draft, which may inform my FA, because if I see chance of a great OT or Rb dropping, I don’t want to push my cap out of whack. I interview the top three WR, 4 Rb, and 5 Ots. I think I can get a good OT in the 3 or 4 spot, both look good and came back underrated. Retaining my own players would be: Imme, 66 mill, 4 years Sterne -4.1 mill, 1 year WR Scott – 18 mill, 3 years Vs FA RB Wilson, best in FA by a little over Imme, 60 mill, 4 years I make an offer to: RB Derek Coffey, 59/59, 3rd best RB in after Wilson and Imme, 13 mill, 3 years DT Sterne Alright, I make that offer to Lane He is the 3rd best OT in the league. So Ima about to pay him some serious cash Ready for hitting that End Stage button? |
Week 2 – Imme signs with Denver for 75 mill over 4 years
Week 3 – I bring in both my cheap Rb and expensive OT I cut McHugh. He’s 22 mill, and the cap saved from cutting him will pay for Lane this year Huh, I manage to get a solid deal with Toth: DE Toth, 5 years, 155 mill, 5 years, 37 mill cap hit this year, dummy year with 40 mill in salary at the end, and the middle three years are 27 mill. Not bad, really. I’ll take it I am not re-signing Scott. This appears to be a deep WR class, and more important, dude just three years as the starter for SD every year since he’s been here has eclipsed 1000+ yards. Good luck finding a new home Scott! Anyone else I do want to look at in FA? I extend LB Cameron Cook by 3 years, 13 mill I make an offer to UFA RT Mickey Bailey, for 6.7 mill 2 years Week 5 – Colorado Springs Scotts signs fo r18 mill, 3 years Week 6 – Sterne heads back to us Week 9 – Our OT Bailey signs That gives me 42 players under contract for us heading into the draft. Anybody fall I want to make a FA offer to? Want to bring in a 61/61 FB? Not really. Nah! |
The 2039 NFL Amateur Draft!
We pick 1.24 La gets us started with WR Colby Bronson from Texas A&M heading off to help out the Rams. A run on RBs in the 1.3, and then 1.11-1.13 took them all off. Most pf the OTs have gone as well. The last one I really, really like is now the best player, not just at his position, but in the Draft, at 6.5 adjusted grade, LT Darren Vang. But I made a pledge to not trade up to target players I like to make this harder. So Vang heads off at 1.15. And then at 1.17 the last of the good OTs is gone. So... I take the best WR on the board, WR Connor Hobson, here, take a look... ![]() And there’s my Scott replacement. Now in the 2nd, what’s next in my queue? The best player by talent is SLB Jonathan Collier. And if I needed another LB I’d grab him. But my emphasis on getting good ones early in the dynasty has paid off decently enough with my current backers. And you can always find good LBs later. Now, if Collier is a future star? Any good OTs left? Someone I can massage into a starter? Mah, I go Collier. O can’t see anyone else here worth the pick. Draft Players: 1st round – FL Connor Hobson 2nd Round – SLB Collier by talent 3rd round, WR Colton Shumway 4th – Maybe FS Bucky Sotelo? Sure, let’s do it. 5th – OT Kent Leibwitz 6th – DE Gus Blakely 7th – CB Jimmy Swinford – Chosen as a potential returner The vote to SLC passes 55 to 45% and we are heading to Utah! |
We have an A- draft review
Early Rookie Lookie: FL Colton Shumway – 33/66 SLB Jonathan Collier – 32/66 SE Conner Hobson – 35/59 DE Gus Blakely – 30/59 FS Bucky Sotelo – 22/56 LT Kent Leibowitz – 24/56 CB Jimmy Swinford – 23/32 Once again, we have no players on the Green Page Late FA No holdouts or nothing I make offers to these 11 Undrafted FAs QB Gavin Connell QB Howie RB Edgar Parker RB Herb Strait TE Reuben Branch SE Wayne Wiggins OT Desmond Schultz C Ivan Gottlieb WLB Chandler Hendricks CB George Jacobs CB Marvin Franklin Week 2 – We sign 2 Week 3 – 2 more join the San Diego Train Week 4 – The rest arrive |
