Fight Card from Gimnasio Milson Nelson Arena in Rio De Jinero, Brazil. Fight Date: 03/07/2005
Opening Bout: Anthony ‘The English Assassin’ Lee vs. Kevin ‘Ice’ Heath Preliminary Bout #1: John ‘Killer’ Naumoff vs. David ‘The Assassin’ Gonzalez, Part II Preliminary Bout #2: AJ ‘Tuck’ Tucker vs. Clyde ‘The Grape Ape’ Kong Support Bout: Bruce ‘The Letter Opener’ Babson vs. Colton ‘The Blade Bomber’ Mayes Co-feature: Jobu ‘The Suckpuppy’ Eckman vs. Chris ‘The Silver Subby’ Shue Main Event: Gertbeef ‘The Adversary’ Roe vs. Lytic ‘Ravenhawk Killa’ Virus. A victory for Roe will guarantee him a shot at the FOFC strap. A victory by Virus will put him into contention for a title shot at this point in his career. |
Opening Bout, scheduled for 8 rounds.
Anthony ‘The English Assassin’ Lee (0-0) vs. Kevin ‘Ice’ Heath (0-1) Heath comes to the ring in perfect shape. Lee looks a bit paunchy for his fight professional fight. Lee comes out confident, and is working the jab into the face of Heath and mixing in some solid body shots. With about a minute left in the round, Heath lands his first real clean punch and it is a sharp jab to the face of Lee, which buckles his knees and sends him down for a 5 count! Heath care of business after that and easily wins the round, probably by 2 points. Lee comes out of the round with a swelling on his right eye already. In round 2, Lee showed little effects from the knockdown, and the round turned into a real slug fest. Lee got the better of Heath in this round thanks to a very strong finish. Heath regrouped for round 3 and started off very strong. A nice left-right combination and then a couple nice right crosses gave him an early lead in this round, but Lee fought back hard, and once again finished up the round quite strong to take another round on the cards. In round 4, Heath once again starts strong, but Lee once again comes back in the later part of the round to catch up and then with little time left in the round, he knocks Heath down for a 3 count! We are halfway through this fight and I have Lee winning 3 of the 4 rounds, but Heath’s one round is a 10-8 one. Finally, in round 5, Heath is able to put together a complete 3 minute round. Lee tried to fight back late and steal another one, but Heath remained aggressive this time and matched Lee shot for shot in the close minute of the round. Lee’s eye is starting to look pretty bad, but with only 3 rounds left, I think it will hold up. Lee looks pretty tired in round 6, and the action slowed down a bit here. Heath was not able to take advantage of a tiring Lee in this round, and the two battled to a very even round. Lee seems to have found his second wind here in round 7. He looks faster than Heath and is clearly much more effective in this round. Late in the round, he rips a right cross into the cheek of Heath and cuts him open pretty bad. The ref halts the fight and asks the doctor to take a look at the cut. Heath’s corner pleads with the doctor to let him finish the fight since this round is over and there is only 1 more left. The doctor disagrees and surprisingly, stops it! The winner by TKO at the 2:52 mark of Round 7 is Anthony ‘The English Assassin’ Lee!!! |
My bout with the assasin is up next, dont dont if i want to see the results......I can get through 1 fight...can't I?
|
Hey marmel, is there a rematch with KGB coming up for me?
|
Preliminary Bout #1, scheduled for 8 rounds.
John ‘Killer’ Naumoff (0-3) vs. David ‘The Assassin’ Gonzalez (1-3-1) Both fighters come to the ring in perfect condition. Round 1 of this fight is all David Gonzalez. He landed some real nice punches in this round, and also limited Naumoff to just a few glancing blows, but nothing clean. Early in round 2, Gonzalez lands a wild right hand into the face of Naumoff. Naumoff is hurt badly and voluntarily takes a knee! He gets back up after the ref counts to 9. A solid combination not long after the first knockdown, sends Naumoff to the canvas again, this time not voluntarily. It takes a count of 8 before he gets back up. Gonzalez cannot finish him off in this round though. It is still all David Gonzalez here in round 3, but at least Naumoff was able to stay on his feet for the full 3m minutes. He does have a swelling in his right eye now, though. Gonzalez slowed way down in the 4th round, and Naumoff took advantage by pressing the action and scoring more points. His punches don’t appear to have much sting though. Through 4 rounds of this scheduled 8 rounder, I have Gonzalez up 3 rounds to 1, with one of those 3 rounds being a 2 pointer. In round 5, Naumoff has finally found something that works and he is landing a bunch of nice punches to the face and body of Gonzalez. One shot to the ribs sends Gonzalez down for an 8 count! Gonzalez gets back up, but Naumoff sends him back down to the canvas with a great right hand to the face of Gonzalez. This time he gets up at the count of 6. When he does return to his feet, Gonzalez has a glazed over look in his eyes and the ref stops the fight!!! The winner, by TKO, at the 2:38 mark of Round 5 is JOHN ‘KILLER’ NAUMOFF!!!! |
Quote:
I have not thought that far out yet. Roe is next in line if he can win on this card. I am quite sure you will have a title shot coming up very soon though. |
Preliminary Bout #2, scheduled for 8 rounds.
AJ ‘Tuck’ Tucker (0-2) vs. Clyde ‘The Grape Ape’ Kong (1-2-2) Both fighters look to be in great shape for this fight. Reports are that Tucker trained as hard as he ever has for a fight. Hopefully, he did not overdo it and leave the fight in the gym. Kong opens the fight with a beautiful uppercut and then a few terrific hooks that all landed cleanly. He looked to be in complete control of the fight early on, but Tucker saw an opening late in the round and snuck in a huge shot which caught Kong by surprised and dropped him to the canvas for a count of 7! Without that, Tucker loses this round, but now you have to give it to him. Kong starts off strong again in round 2, but Tucker comes back to make it a fight in this round. Kong has the stronger finish and I would give him this round, but just barely. Tucker starts round 3 strong, but two big rights from Kong turns the momentum in his favor and he rides that to an easy victory here in the 3rd round of this fight. Kong had Tucker in a world of trouble here in round 4. He was awfully close to at least knocking Tucker down, if not out. But credit Tucker for staying up, even if he got creamed in this round. Halfway through the fight, I give 3 rounds to Kong and 1 to Tucker. The knockdown is the wildcard here. The action seemed to slow down here in round 5, at least until Kong threw a nice power jab and knocked Tucker down for a count of 4! Kong moves in for the kill, and scores another knockdown right before the bell. Tucker gets up pretty quick and gets out of the round, but Kong is really pulling out to a big lead. Kong looked to keep control of the fight in round 6, but he gets caught with a solid hook from Tucker that drops him for a 4 count! Kong gets out of the round, but lets Tucker back into the fight with that knockdown. Both fighters leave it out out in the ring here and round 7 and battle to a very even round. This fight is still Kong’s to win if he can take care of business in the 8th and final round. The 8th and final round was not nearly as eventful as I would have expected, especially form Tucker’s end. It was a close round but I think Kong had the advantage. This fight goes to the cards: Jeffrey Belton scores the fight 76-73. Roger Tilleman scores it 75-73. Daniel Van De Weile scores it 76-73 for the winner, by unanimous decision, CLYDE ‘THE GRAPE APE’ KONG!!!! |
Hmmm...Kong has not lost in 4 fights now.

Support Bout, scheduled for 8 rounds.
Bruce ‘The Letter Opener’ Babson (1-3) vs. Colton ‘The Blade Bomber’ Mayes (2-3-1) Mayes looks to be in great shape for this fight. Babson seems to be carrying some extra weight around, which may affect him. Some great exchanges right from the opening bell of this fight. Babson was landing cleaner and a straight right sent Mayes down for a 4 count early on! Babson moves in for the kill after Mayes gets back up, but was only able to land one more real effective punch in the round. Mayes comes back with a solid round 2, particularly on the defensive end. He really limited Babson’s chances, and scored enough to easily take this round. In round 3, Babson comes back strong from the beating he took and started landing once again. A huge right across the forehead of Mayes sent him stumbling backwards and then down! Mayes answers to a 4 count. As soon as he got up, Babson clobbered him with a nasty combination and Mayes goes down again, this time for a 6 count! Babson again moves in on him, and is pummeling him once again. Mayes is not fighting back, which leaves the ref no option but to stop this fight here in the Round 3!! The winner, by TKO, at the 2:26 mark of Round 3 is BRUCE ‘THE LETTER OPENER’ BABSON!!!!! |
Hey Marm, after this card how difficult and time consuming would it be for you to make list everyone's records and possibly some rankings? I've gotten lost with how many people have signed up...

I have no problem being the worst FOFC boxer, but one thing I can not stand is some prude from England calling me out. I am the Assassin and no jackass upstart from the other side of the ocean, yea it's not a pond, is going to take my name away from me.
Bring it on!!! |
See I like this! Special stipulation for this match, is the loser gives up his nickname and the winner gets to choose the new one for the losing fighter. :)
|
Hah, I barely even trained for my last fight and still knocked the stuffing out of Mayes. Just need to find a suitable victim for the fight to bring me back to .500.
|
any chance for a williams vs babson matchup next card?
|
Juice... you gotta get past the Virus if you want KGB! You might get around a cold, but you can't defeat a VIRUS!
(okay I better beat Roe now...) |
"Mildfire" - You've got a bad reputation in the ring for boring-ass fights. That will never do. When the crowd sees me step in the ring, they need to know they're getting a real show! I have just the guy for my next bout: "Stunner" Stan Gunner. We'll show you wussies with no power how to knock the crap out of your opponent. Crowd wants blood, we'll give 'em blood.
|
Gertrude better be able to beet Virus easily if he expects a title shot. I've already exposed Virus to be a glorified club fighter.
Juice wasn't a bad opponent. I would be happy to finish the beating the referee so unfortunately stopped. Commissioner Marmel should find an arena next to hospital if Juice qualifies for a re-match. |
Alright...who wants to step into the ring with me...I should be an easy mark...
(Is it considered a hustle attempt when you really do suck?) |
cough-coward-cough

Hey Killer, wipe that angry look off your face... your panties are showing. You want another opponent? Feeling cocky after that last victory? Why don't you take on M-squared!

Anybody want to use Cobra Catalan as a punching bag? :) I promise to spend a lot of time inspecting the mat close up.

I'm ready to go against anybody who is willing to slug it out in the middle of the ring. No showboating required.

First it was the TenderFoot stomp
Then Mr Miller was out of time Now we see with much ado and pomp Babson going down before his prime Stunner is ready for "The Letter Opener" |
I now hate my guy...can i like retire or something and start over?

Co-Feature, scheduled for 10 rounds.
Jobu ‘The Suckpuppy’ Eckman (3-2) vs. Chris ‘The Silver Subby’ Shue (1-3-1) Both fighters appear to be in great shape for this fight. Eckman is the slugger and Shue the boxer, and in round 1 the boxing style won out with ease. Jobu was never able to find an opening and land a clean shot, but Shue was able to do so with ease. Jobu landed a huge right hand early in round 2. With Eckman’s power you think Shue would be slowed down a bit, but he actually got more active and came back to win another round with ease. Shue contines to pick apart Jobu in round 3. After working him over, he lands a flurry of punches to the head and body and sends Jobu down for a 4 count. Jobu gets up and Shue comes after him, landing some huge shots. Jobu looks like he might go down again. Shue blasts him with a right, but the ref jumps in between the fighters. Shue is screaming at the ref. Oh My, it appears the ref has DQ’d Shue without even giving him a warning. That last punch was a blatant backhand, but to stop the fight…..what a disgrace! The winner, by DQ, is JOBU ‘THE SUCKPUPPY’ ECKMAN!!!! |
The Main Event, scheduled for 12 rounds.
Gertbeef ‘The Adversary’ Roe (4-0) vs. Lytic ‘Ravenhawk Killa’ Virus (2-1) Both fighters look to be in great shape, for what will be a very important fight in each of their careers. Roe is not going to overpower many fighters, but he is fast and so hard to hit, so he just wears his opponents out, and he gets a good start at it here in round 1. Virus continues to have a lot of trouble getting Roe to stand still so he can land a punch. Roe is not overwhelming Virus, but still doing plenty of work to wear down Virus and take another round. In round 3, Roe starts to take over this fight. A nice right to the face of Virus cuts him open on his left cheek. As virus swipes at the blood, Roe is quick enough to land some nice hooks to the ribs of Virus. Total domination by Roe in round 3, and Virus is quickly falling behind. Virus is still unable to do any real damage to Roe in this fight. Roe’s defense and his speed is just too much right now. Meanwhile Roe’s offense was great in the last round, but otherwise it is just effective enough to keep racking up the rounds. The domination continues in round 5. Virus is visably frustrated with the way his offense is completely ineffective tonight. Roe continues to do his thing and the pay off is starting to show as a swelling is popping up on Virus’s left eye. In round 6, Virus finally lands a few big power punches which got Roe’s attention. Virus finally picks up a round, but halfway through the fight, I have Roe with 5 rounds to Virus’s 1 round. Roe takes back control of the fight in the early going of round 7. This looks like the Roe of the first 5 rounds, but then the unthinkable. One huge power shot into the ribs of Roe sends him to the canvas for the first time in his career! Roe answers to a 7 count and the fight continues. Virus is all hyped up now and just unloads into the face of Roe, sending him right back down to the canvas for a 5 count! Roe gets out of the round, but that aura of invincibility has been shattered here in round 7! Virus continues his assault on Roe in round 8. Roe is really shaken up after those knockdowns and his confidence level seems low. The ref has to break up the two men as the bell rings to end this round, one which Virus easily won. This fight has completely turned around since the knockdown a few rounds back. Virus keeps it going in this round with his third knockdown of Roe! Roe answers to a 5 count this time and the round continues. Roe gets out of the round, but his lead has all but evaporated! The first punch by Virus in round 10 cuts Roe’s face open pretty badly under his left eye. But then just that quickly, Roe turns the fight back around to his favor with a great showing here in the 10th. He looked like Roe from the early rounds and picked up a much needed round, and also caused some additional swelling to the eye of Virus, which his corner has done a great job on so far. The two fighters went toe to toe in round 11, but Roe turned it on late in the round and gained a decisive advantage in the 11th round to pick up his second late round in a row. Roe finished this fight as strong as he started it. We will soon find out of it was strong enough to overcome the three knockdowns he suffered. Roy Francis scores the fight 114-112 for Gertbeef Roe. Kim Key-Yun scores it 113-112 for Lytic Virus. Mikael Hook scores it 113-112 for the winner, by split decision, GERTBEEF ‘THE ADVERSARY’ ROE!!!!! |
