The Tarqs are probably the only ones who are sure, one way or another. I've seen you play very aggressively at times (Harry Potter game comes to mind) and be more subdued in other games. So I don't necessarily take you being less conversational early as a warning sign. But I think everyone wants to believe you are a Roman as a sitting attorney - having a Tarq in that position is a pretty significant threat.

It seems that that's irrelevant -- if she's not putting in orders, she could still be a Tarq. It seems like the Tarqs get together and agree on one kill, so she wouldn't be needed.

My understanding - and I don't think this has been publicly posted yet - is that the recipient does not receive the message until deadline the following day. And the horses allow a response from the target, which arrives at deadline the day after.

So I'm hoping to have a message from you at the end of today, Ardent.

Passacaglia 04-13-2007 04:51 PM

Damn those horses are slow. Don't we all convene in the same Senate?

Barkeep49 04-13-2007 04:52 PM

Theory about the horses:

The missing messages have gone to the Tarqs. Did both of the missing messages originate from the same provider of horses?

Negative:
Anxiety sent using Blakus (purchased Day 1)
Tyrith sent using Bonus (purchased Day 2)

Are Blakus and Bonus the same guys every day or do they appear every other day?

hoopsguy 04-13-2007 04:56 PM

They rotate between two different guys on odd/even numbered days.

Lexus and Blakus on odds.
Faustus and Bons on evens.

Ok so I think my theory could still stand. Perhaps the Tarqs get a choice of whether to intercept or allow the message through, but the idea that one of the horse traders could be working for the Tarqs remains the best theory I can think of for why we now have two messages not going through.

hoopsguy 04-13-2007 04:59 PM

I'm going to send out a couple of more lawsuits to further define where I'm at on the food chain. If people have questions I can give you information about your relative position, as well as who you absolutely win/lose against.

HOOPUS GUYUS SUES ABEUS ANXIETUS
HOOPUS GUYUS SUES PEREGRINEUS BARBARUS
HOOPUS GUYUS SUES ARDENTUS ENTHUSIASTUS

Nothing personal, guys. Just think that I'll have the most complete grid based on these suits. If I was purely on a money push there are other people who would be sure wins ...

Gah. I thought you already had my message. I really thought you did based on some of the things you said today. I actually thought you didn't agree with me. :)

I was actually thinking I'd hear from you tomorrow morning.

For instance, if I had won a BG today, I would freely announe that. I wouldn't say who I chose to protect, but the service ownership is not saomething I would hide. I have said what happened with me on Day Four. How come no one else is saying who they hired (or failed to hire) on Day Four?

I'm catching up, and now going to dinner. But I just want to say that the existence of the sex slaves is a good reason not to announce what service you have.

If a loyal Senator dies tomorrow by sword, Pass will will likely be a baddie.

Good points. It does make sense that if there was a screwup it would only be deemed fair if both were on the same said I would think... Although, if a loyal senator dies tomorrow, it doesn't necessarily make Pass a baddie though.. whomever has the sword may have just took a stab in the dark just like yesterday when Sal was killed.

This is what I know about BK/myself. I talked cronin. He said he got the message and it went where it was supposed to go. *shrug* I don't know what to make of it, but it really makes me think BK was trying to pull some sort of a double fake. Feel free to scan me, harass me, do whatever.

But the same thing happened to me too. Anxiety said he sent a message to me, but I never got it.

Has anyone actually gotten and confirmed one of these horse messages yet?

hoopsguy 04-13-2007 10:37 PM

Not that I know of, KWhit.

Wow, quiet night.

I don't think anyone living has actually received a horse message. Maybe they don't do what we've been led to believe. Anyone care to speak precisely about what it is said to do?

When is the next deadline, after 9 a.m. tomorrow?

I think Sunday night, IIRC.

Autumn 04-13-2007 10:57 PM

That'd be good. I guess I should search back in the posts. I'm going to be gone tomorrow night, and I don't know how I would act otherwise.

I think I have all my actions taken care of in the meantime, I think that the traitors may be unpleasantly surprised.

path12 04-13-2007 11:23 PM

I'm actually glad for the long deadlines right now. I feel I need to take some time to do some research and I'll be able to get a couple hours easily over the weekend.

For today, FREE CHUBBUS

If I were to suggest any arrests, and this is truly no more than gut without going back through posts more, they would be Mustang and either Tyrith or Barkeep. This could change when I actually put some notes together.

Oh, and I hope whoever has the lawyers has them scanning each other.

Barkeep49 04-13-2007 11:42 PM

Man I have no feel for Chubby. None. I'm sort of reluctant to just free him though as I really think that LSG could still have been bidding despite her difficulties posting here. If I recall the circumstantial evidence suggests she might have won the swordsman that first time.

That said I'll go ahead and Free Chubby since it really seems like a wolf would've found a way to post here, especially LSG.

That might be on account of his zero posts ...

Ironhead 04-14-2007 12:11 AM

I have been doing some thinking about the fact that I was able to win the service of the killer on Day 2. I think that the only reason I ended up with the killer and it didn't fall into the hands of the wolves was the fact that people did not realize that the services had changed. St. Cronin made the post reminding people that the services had changed about 2 hours before deadline that night.

The names of people that could have possibly beaten me that night are as follows:

Dodgus Erchickus
Imus Thecrewus
Bulletus Spongeus
Marcus Vaughnus (now replaced by Passus)
Coffeus Yakus Warlordus
LonestarGirl (now replaced by Chubby)
Schmidtyus Schmidtyus

Of the services that were won that night we know Dodgerchick won the sex slaves and Schmidty won Balbus Senna. That narrows the list to:

Imus Thecrewus
Bulletus Spongeus
Marcus Vaughnus (now replaced by Passus)
Coffeus Yakus Warlordus
LonestarGirl (now replaced by Chubby)

Based on the lynches and poisonings that have occured so far we know that ImtheCrew and Bulletsponge were both good. That leaves us with only three possibilities:

Marcus Vaughnus (now replaced by Passus)
Coffeus Yakus Warlordus
LonestarGirl (now replaced by Chubby)

Day 2 found Coffee Warlord in jail, and as I understand the rules he would have been unable to bid on services. That leaves me with only two choices:

Marcus Vaughnus (now replaced by Passus)
LonestarGirl (now replaced by Chubby)

Surprise, surprise both of these original players are no longer in the game and were quite as can be during their time here. From what I see LonestarGirl was on early in the day on Day 2 and voted. Marcus Vaughnus actually posted before and after St. Cronin's announcement near the deadline on Day 2. He has also since moved up to the top tier of wealth, so I assume he probably started off with more wealth than I did. Had he bid on the killer I believe he would have probably beaten me for it. But was he paying enough attention to the game to really change his vote? No way to be sure.

This is a tough vote for me because it is hard to condemn someone without information on them. But by virtue of trying to determine which one of these two is bad I will go ahead and

VOTE THROW CHUBBY OFF THE ROCK

hoopsguy 04-14-2007 12:22 AM

I'm pretty tempted to put LoneStarGirl/Chubby back in jail for another day so we have an opportunity to scan her/him.

My other worry is that Pass "lost Macro" and got Maximus. Anxiety lost Maximus, so I'm working with the impression that Cronin processed the actions in order. Anxiety moved up to the elite wealth category yesterday which leads me to believe that he was at the absolute top of the "Moderate Wealth" group. That leaves a small list of people who could have gotten Macro and been processed before Anxiety's order - Dodgerchick, Warlord, Ironhead, LSG/Chubby.

If there are two kills tomorrow I'm going to want one of those people in jail. Warlord would probably be my next choice - he was in jail the only day that we had a single kill, has admitted to killing Saldana (with the best of intentions), and the person he publicly cleared is dead thus offering us little value.

As of right now, I'm going to send in the order to re-jail LSG/Chubby. If people ahve strong feelings in another direction, then please post them over night and I'll be around prior to deadline to react.

I definitely think there's a rich wolf in the game. LSG hasn't been active but the wolves may be gearing their kills in the belief that she will come back or there will be a replacement.

Yup, you're on the right track there. :)

Narcizo seems to be leaning heavily toward arresting Neon (a move I disagree with actually), but he hasn't outright stated that's what he will do. You were the first to make that sort of commitment.

So I figured I would want him to know. :)

Poli 04-14-2007 02:34 AM
