I'm not saying I agree or disagree with anyone's argument, but if you post a picture that is remotely risqué and get boxes that is your own fault. The precedent has been set for a while now.

If it's during your lunch time, then bullshitting on a forum would be allowed, but looking at pics of lovely women in a bikini could create the work environment that is impacting others. (stray female walking by, for example).

Ya know, sure there are pictures in this thread that are all about "look at her boobs and look at her butt", but really, a majority of the pictures of females posted are genuinely beautiful. And I get that we're all probably popping boners to one degree or another but it's kind of sad that a community of adults can't just share and discuss pictures of women or that they're somehow viewed as more vulgar than any of the other types of pictures posted. I can go to TheHun and see tons of great pictures of nude women but there is a real level of quality to a lot of the pictures posted here that are A) Not Pornographic and B) Quite a remarkable level of female beauty.

I have a point, but I'm prone to rambling.

Doing a bit of editing there to pose a question - do we really need a thread here to be a pic aggregator where posters go on repost sprees from "reallycoolfractals.com" or "totallyphotoshoppedlandscapes.net" or People of Walmart or "awfulalbumcovers.us" or "catsandcleavage.edu"? That's what most of this is, really, and while it was entertaining at first, I'm not sure it serves much of a purpose.

This post is a resource all by itself. Who knew there were such sites?

Do we need to be the place to post about sports seasons or events, books, television shows, movies we've seen, video games, events in our personal lives, fantasy sports, strange news stories, current events, dead celebrities, child molesters, what beer we're drinking and music we're listening to? I can go elsewhere on the web and find all those things.

I think it's great. I don't scour the internet, there are two main sites I go to. The fact that I can come here and talk about sports, tv, music and politics AND see some cool pictures that I wouldn't have seen is really nice.

That being said, of course anyone posting pics should know by now what's going to happen and the complaining is very silly at this point.

Yeah, my point in posting that was entirely the funny juxtaposition, and I think the 2 cents I added made that entirely clear.

The reality is that any photo of woman with the slightest bit of skin showing above the knee, around the stomach or in the vicinity of her breasts, is going to be deleted, which is just lazy heavy handedness. But again, nothing that shouldn't be expected at this point.

I wish the guy well. Heck, he made some incredible plays over the last few seasons. I think he's a good person, too, and will work hard enough to become a success in the NFL as a slot or a specialist.

But I laughed anyway.

FALSE: There are numerous other threads that contain risque pictures. For reasons that have not yet been fully explained, this thread is one in which this rule is enforced. It is very easy to find other threads which are advertised clearly as having risque photos that have not been censored. If members are banned from visiting here by their employer, it is more likely that the employer doesn't want their employees jacking around on a message board when they should be working.
FALSE. If anyone bothered to notice, the domain for this site is Operation Sports | Madden NFL 13 | NCAA Football 13 | NBA 2K13 | MLB 13 The Show. Very few if any automated programs will prohibit access to a subfolder but allow access to the main folder. This site is judged by content across OperationSports.com. Unless this policy is enforced across all OS forums (which it clearly is not), then any images hosted on certain sites on any OS page would impact the viewing of FOFC.
FALSE. If you can't find risque images in other threads, you're not looking hard enough.
FALSE. Many threads are clearly advertised as having risque photos and have widespread moderation participation. Posters in this thread were at one time admonished by a well respected moderator for NOT posting a risque photo.
No one says it's draconian, it's just stupid and arbitrary. Here are the real truths:

1. If the moderators wish to increase transparency, create a stickied, closed thread in the Off-Topic forum that posts each reported post. Right now, most members assume the reportings are fictional or from misinformed members who don't understand how Internet filtering software works.

2. If you are blocked from FOFC or fear you may be blocked from FOFC, it is likely due to the fact that your employer wants you working and not jacking off on the Internet. I've worked for a company that blocked Facebook and other social networking sites. If your goal is to circumvent your employer's desire that you work while using their Internet, computer and other resources on your job, you're not exactly occupying a moral high ground.

3. If you are fearful your employer may see you viewing inappropriate content by view a thread, answer this: do you think your employer would approve of you viewing the text of this forum while working?

Anytime someone argues that a picture of a female golfer is going to lead to this forum being blocked by Internet filters has a fundamental lack of knowledge of how the Internet works.

Bucc, I don't think that is the case. I think the time spent may vary by mod, but I think most hours of the day you'll find one or more here. (Granted, the last week is an exception for Ben given his new arrival.)

What I think is true is that none of us read every single thread, and I think that accounts for some inconsistencies. At some point you have to rely on the community for things like post reports. And, I think the community does a pretty good job of that. For the most part, things work well and but for people's complaints about this thread (or differences between this thread and others) the board is modded pretty consistently. I will say there is likely one exception and that is that posters who have "earned their stripes" may get a longer leash than newer posters. In part, that's human nature. In part, though it is because there are other ways to reach those posters.

I will use Subby as an example. I communicate with Subby in variety of ways off the board. On more than one occasion, I've sent him an e-mail or a note somewhere else to tell him to cool his jets. He has always done so. People may not like that or think it shows favoritism or whatever, but that's just the nature of the beast.

People seem to doubt what I wrote yesterday about the number of posts reported or think that there is some hiding of the ball there. There really isn't. I will try to post (while protecting anonymity) a summary of reported posts on a regular basis if that is something people would like. I think you will be underwhelmed.
