Even though I dislike Harris, as mentioned in this thread before, a female candidate would allow a shift of focus to abortion, where dems dominate in public opinion. Two 80-year old white dudes yelling about post-birth abortions doesn't really move the needle.

Trump isn't popular, Biden isn't popular, house approval rating is embarrassingly low, senate approval is terrible, SCOTUS approval is historically low.

Part of how he attacked Hillary was defending Bernie and saying the dems screwed him. I'm expecting something similar here.

Usually VP picks don't matter, but we're in uncharted territory here so you never know. I like Pete, but I don't think he'd be a strong choice. He's easy to attack. His strength is in debates and you're pretty limited on time here and VP debates are largely a waste of time.

I think the campaign infrastructure already being in place is bigger than the money. It's easy to make that swap when they're on the same ticket.

It never really mattered. Biden could always have transferred it to the DNC. It was just used by Biden diehard as a lie to keep pressure off him to step down.

Now make everything about Trump. If the election is Trump or not Trump, Dems will win.

The Republican convention proved the Republicans are all in for everyone. Unity is the key. White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, men and women are all in this together. Governors are generally popular and much less costly than replacing a senate seat. Especially one that isn't up for reelection until 2028.

I was talking to my wife yesterday that if Trump wins our Chinese daughter will need to start carrying her passport everywhere she goes so she can prove her citizenship if required.
