That is too funny. I noticed the hair as well. I wonder if you put Lincoln's hair on Romney's head......?

Damn deleted posts!!!

Thanks for the Anne Frank photo.

If ever someone actually deserved sainthood, she's the one.

sterlingice 03-17-2012 11:24 AM

Oddly enough, I think Hitchcock should stay black and white as it's more his style. Einstein, too. It adds to their legendary qualities. However, it's interesting to see Roosevelt and Churchill in color.

If that were your daughter, then yes. Old. Very, very old.

Radii 03-18-2012 02:16 AM

There were a lot of godawful posters when we were younger.

kcchief19 03-18-2012 03:39 PM

Amazing crap we got athletes to do before they were all making a million bucks a year ...

cuervo72 03-18-2012 03:44 PM

I had posters of Samantha Fox, Paulina Porizkova and Kathy Ireland.

The sad part of that sports poster webpage is the number of commenters pointing out which photos they think are photoshopped.

dawgfan 03-18-2012 04:45 PM

I'm guessing a bunch of those sports posters were products of the Costacos Brothers, a Seattle t-shirt outfit that exploded in the mid-'80's. Those posters might look super kitschy now, but back then they were incredibly original. Before them, most sports posters were just action shots from games; the Costacos Brothers helped feed the image of athletes with their staging and campy titles.

I remember having this poster.

terpkristin 03-18-2012 07:54 PM

very very cool

ColtCrazy 03-19-2012 06:28 PM

I see at least 3 posters I would want. The Dickerson and Chuck Person for local favorites and the Majkowski. I was huge fan of his.

What the hell is that red dot near the north pole on the moon of Jupiter? It is a volcano? Is it the obelisk from 2001 sending a signal?

It's the moon Io, so yes, probably a volcano.

JediKooter 03-19-2012 08:32 PM

It's got to be a plume from one of Io's volcanos.

Yes it's one of the volcanoes. If you look at the big blow up of the picture you can also see the cloud (it's the blue stuff).

The USB one. SERIOUSLY!!

MJ4H 03-21-2012 04:29 PM

I've always been puzzled by that. The USB logo always goes up. I've heard people say "NOT ALWAYS!!" but I literally have never encountered the opposite. I'm pretty much 100% at USB roulette.

Ksyrup 03-21-2012 04:32 PM

Most of mine are sideways, and I ALWAYS guess wrong.

That pic just causes my mind to conjure up a ghost of the smug, humorless douchebag of the only variety that I imagine can own a room like that. I bet his cables are super danceable.
