We need all four just to deal with you.

How else am I supposed to set up a police state?

I think I'd be perfect for the government building if social skill is important. I don't think mine can be topped in this game. Plus I'm pretty good physically. If you think JAG would be better somewhere else.

ntndeacon 02-20-2015 08:13 PM

If I remember correctly, wasn't one of the law enforcement types mentioned that they were a bit more physical in their police activities than was condoned? I can't remember which one.

Grover 02-20-2015 08:23 PM

Crimson, you've been quiet today. What's up with that!?

fontisian 02-20-2015 08:26 PM

Thoughts on replacing JAG or Jackal with Suicane?

Grover 02-20-2015 08:30 PM

Well, I know Jackal is an excellent engineer, but has poor physical skills. JAG is decent in physical if I remember right.

What exactly does Suicane's high social skill do with building the government would be my question? If it helps to have someone who is potentially charismatic or could be a good politician, it's a good move.

JAG 02-20-2015 08:30 PM

Do we have an engineer other than Jackal free? He was the professor, might not have a lot else to offer besides that for the construction.

Looks like not really.

JAG 02-20-2015 08:34 PM

I don't know, it's still a building, should still require similar skills to build it I would think, even if the building's function is different.

fontisian 02-20-2015 08:35 PM

Keep in mind that the medical center is also a building.

Raven 02-20-2015 08:42 PM

May as well throw 3 idle people to attend to Danny. Even if they have low medical scores, it has got better than none.

Raven 02-20-2015 08:45 PM

I have below avg medical skills which may be higher than most of our non-medical staff. DanG seems to have similar.

fontisian 02-20-2015 08:46 PM

But that takes those people away from the medical facility.

Suicane75 02-20-2015 08:47 PM

Yeah, I don't have any idea what the skills required for governmet building are. But If someone is going on there with a combo of social and physical skills, I feel like I might be best man in that regard.

:D

From a distance it looked like it might have been a similar size.

About a five minute warning. Danny and CF still no votes in (not that they seem to matter at this point with the runaway votes).

True, and that would make sense to have medical people working on it. I'm ok if you change your mind, I don't feel that strongly either way I guess.

EagleFan 02-20-2015 09:36 PM

Day Three Results

The Government building has been completed. I will be sending out more details to everyone that is effected by that.

The Medical Center was not completed due to lack of effort. Four resources will need to be assigned for this to be completed on Day Four.

Chief Rum has healed some, he may continue to be treated or be allowed to work but he will be limited in how effective he will be.

Danny is near death.

Grover has completed the plans for an improved generator. This may become a potential project for day four.

The scientific research team has come across a way to improve defenses. This will become a design that Grover can work on for day four.

There is a new object in play, a gun. Will post the details in the item list.

It seems like you are progressing, but are you really?

timmae 02-20-2015 09:39 PM

What do we know about the passenger manifest? Anyone?

EagleFan 02-20-2015 09:48 PM

Day Four Options

fontisian
- Assign 4 resources to work on completing the medical facility
- Assign 0-2 resources to work with Grover in engineering (can delegate to Grover)
- Assign 0-2 resources to work with Thomkal as a police force (can delegate to Thomkal)
- Decide what to do with Chief, allow him to work or continue to recover (Can defer to Chief)
- Decide any resources for helping Danny (can defer to Chief)

Scientific Team
- Decide Research (offensive, new technology, agricultural improvements for the biodome)

Grover
- Next design (defense for the colony, improved communications, improved tools)

Colony
- Next Project is automatically repair communications so no vote for that for day four
- Action (Effort to Repair communications, gather supplies from your drop - the remainder of them, search the flatlands, search the northeast where the heat source was seen - very risky, search the southeast where the craft landed - risky)

EagleFan 02-20-2015 09:49 PM

Day Four has begun. The deadline is 10 PM EST on Monday. Posting, discussion, voting, can all be done over the weekend but the deadline is Monday.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Shoveler 02-20-2015 10:34 PM

Vote: Repair Communications

EagleFan 02-20-2015 10:49 PM

Tragedy Again

Someone screams for help. You come running and see a colonist screaming for help and standing near Danny. Danny is dead. Poor, quiet, barely noticeable Danny.

Could be the injuries that finally got the best of him. But then you notice the marks on his neck, they look just like the marks on Schmidty's neck. There is a killer among you that has struck again.

You decide to hold a wake in his memory. Everyone sits around and reminisces about the past.

"Do you remember when he.... well.... when he.... I guess he did something for us to remember?"

Danny was a bioengineer, he was accused of unethical research and joined the mission to avoid the negative feedback that he was getting.

EagleFan 02-20-2015 10:53 PM

The BMS changes the options for Day 4, no longer need to decide who will take care of Danny.

Suicane75 02-20-2015 11:03 PM

I'm intrigued by the fact that the government building has been completed and yet it hasn't affected me in any way. Font, did you have options given to you regarding it's use and/or staffing last night.

Eagle pretty much said that it prevents bad things happening, not that it gave any additional bonuses. that's how I read it anyway.

All seems to be going swimmingly at the moment. Apart from people dying and stuff. Have a good weekend.

timmae 02-21-2015 10:08 AM

I can review things in more detail later this weekend but is it odd that both kills so far have been colonists who have not been active at all? If it is the work of our stowaway then he/she is most interested in the gameplay aspect. Why kill those that are not active while other more aware targets are out there. It may also mean we are not affecting their status within the colony at all since they are sitting back and cherry picking the weakest. If they were pressured the actions may be more drastic. We need that communications up and going.

Chief Rum 02-21-2015 02:33 PM

Food for thought: I'm not 100% sure we have had night kills.

I had a similar thought..

Chief Rum 02-21-2015 06:26 PM

Just following up on that.

Schmidty was found a good 12 hours after the Day One deadline. Danny was found about 2 hours after the Day Three deadline.

I get the sense these deaths weren't night kill options by our stowaway, but an ability he has, given certain conditions or perhaps a certain number of times. Or it is even possible it is not the stowaway, but another among us, with a secret ability (although I would have to see much more evidence for that before I would accept that).

I don't think it is coincidence that the two that died were in poor health.

CrimsonFox 02-21-2015 06:47 PM

Am behind in this game but I'm at a loss for what's going on. It makes no sense to me. If those two were killed just because they were inactive then why wasn't it announced that way. And the Danny one was extra weird. WHy didn't it happen at lynchtime.
But I can't see a wolf or whatever targetting an inactive player. Except for the fact that they were already injured. That is the only thing I can think.

It did seem like they had accidents BECAUSE they were inactive. Frick I don't know.

JAG 02-21-2015 07:10 PM

If they were mod kills, they would've been in red. EF's blue text is a result of colonist action. So someone killed them, other than their health, it's hard to understand why.

JAG 02-21-2015 07:12 PM

Just an FYI, I have two interviews Monday, so it's going to be a little while before I can look into things too deeply.

CrimsonFox 02-21-2015 07:43 PM

so is chief better yet? is he even stabilized?
Maybe the EMT should patch him up some more.

Grover 02-21-2015 08:16 PM

I think getting Chief back to top health is a priority. Maybe he can find out more about his interrogation.
