It really depends on what happens with Abe's game this morning. I think maybe we should go with a day 1 deadline of thursday regardless of if the roles go out tonight or tomorrow. Everyone ok with that?

At this point Abe's game requires little attention. Basically it requires 30 seconds of work from me and the wolves every four hours. I would send out roles and get cracking whether we have a day 1 deadline of Thursday, or even tomorrow. I know some didn't want to start until that game has ended, but for 99% of the people it's over, even if they're still alive.

Yes, we are having pointless conversation. And I would really like one more sign up for this game. I made all those roles and I want to use them.

To be fair, I removed the hunter role for something much more fun. It wouldn't have bothered me to cut the hunter, but I want this other role in ;)

Well, I've spent too much of my morning reviewing this game. For people who were not around back then, I would recommend just skipping ahead to Post #898 and reading that whole day, ending with Post #1114.

I think this is one of the most unusual days of voting I have ever seen in a game of werewolf. I am just about positive that something like that would not happen today, given our familiarity with each other and the pure number of games that we have all played. But, back then:
- it was only the 16th game on our forum
- AE/Poli and I had probably about 5-7 games each under our belts, not quite enough to cement reps that we now have, for better or worse
- not enough of these type of showdowns had emerged yet. Stuff like this has helped shape some of the logic that is accepted as "proper play" these days
- things were complicated by the "Lovers" role

All that said, this vote was an absolute stunner and really cannot be justified.

I think that was my second game ever. You villagers would have been a lot better off if you hadn't lynched the BG on Day 1! I think that wouldn't happen if the game were played now, but that's probably because we don't get as many fake reveals now as we did back then.

Just finished reading that day. I'm glad there's no more talk of betting outside the game -- that really takes away the fun of the game. Pretty funny that lurker showed up in the middle of it and people started wigging out. I still need to get her in on a game -- maybe once she's finished her exam, I can convince her.

For what it is worth, I popped for pizza at Silo's. AE/Poli, BK, and Pass were all there. We were in the middle of the next game and all of us knew that Pass was a wolf in that one and had fun messing with him around the table as the Texas/USC championship game played out on TV.

I'll get roles out tonight and we'll have our first lynch tomorrow.

Just for the record, tomorrow I have to travel for work, so likely won't be on much. In fact if roles go out late tonight (after I leave for my softball game at 5pm ET), I might not even see my role until some point tomorrow.

So if I'm quiet, I obviously am a wolf, so lynch me first.
