Updating the vote count since I don't want to keep going back a page. (I'm basing it off GWB's post)
Votes for... (17 of 19) Airhog - 2 (KevinNU7, Desnudo) Desnudo - 3 (condors, ntndeacon, Airhog) NoMyths - 6 (Neuqua, Shorty, EaglesFan27, KWhit, Mustang, BrianD) Shorty - 6 (NoMyths, Swaggs, TazFTW, Jon, George W Bush, McSweeney) |
who hasnt voted yet?
|
Lathum and Qwikshot
|
I wonder why they haven't voted yet. Is one of them a wolf waiting to cast a swing vote on a villager?
|
Quote:
Pfft...still got an hour. Like I said, playing GTA... But if you want, I'll vote. |
Seeing both went guns blazing...and since there is a deadlock, I really can't decide between NoMyths and Shorty...cheese pizza is cooking for me.
Vote: Shorty Don't really think it's NoMyths, Shorty got highly defensive, the only guy really defending him is BrianD, so I at least see a support group there, NoMyths no one has spoken up for, so I'm guessing he's just a lowly villager. |
Quote:
I've got a feeling that they are both lowly villagers. Maybe the reason nobody is really defending anyone (except for me, and I know I'm not a wolf) is that we are just completely off and haven't named a wolf yet. Is there anyone we haven't talked about that we should talk about? |
Don't you think a wolf would be careful about defending them even if they were a wolf. I think it would cast too much suspicion. Therefore, I don't think we can take a lack of a defense as a sure sign that both are innocent villagers.
|
I'm utterly confused. This vote will help no one, but here goes.
Unvote NoMyths Vote Neuqua He quietly joined in when we were talking about people that were too quiet, voted for one of the bandwagon guys and then hasn't been heard from. I'm thinking he might be trying to avoid notice. |
Quote:
I'm thinking that losing a wolf this early is a serious victory for the villagers. The wolves wouldn't be able to allow this to happen. |
OK, I was out all day, like I said I would be. I just read everything and it is quite confusing. I know where Shorty is because last game I was right there. I just don't thinnk I can vote for him because I know the torment it caused me. This is probably gonna backfire on me, but Aorhog has been realy quiet.
I Vote for Airhog |
I guess you can say I won't be one of those who is going to use Werewolf to JeeberD my post count :)
Honestly it's just so early to make a decision one way or the other. I'm just gathering my own thoughts along with the rest of the communities. But now it's on! |
Quote:
Same as NoMyths. NoMyths was quite the chatterbox as Shorty was being led to the gallows but, as the votes started up, I haven't heard word one from NoMyths to defend himself. Of course, that could be because NoMyths is out for the night... |
Quote:
Or our eating people? |
Of course, we could each just vote for ourselves and state "I vote for myself because I am the werewolf!"
Peregrine said any ties would be broken by picking the one with the best case state.. well, the best case stated would have to be the werewolf.. everyone else is just lying. :p :D :D |
Quote:
|
Well, my vote will have to stand. Work calls so, I probably won't be able to check on anything for a bit...
|
when is the deadline?

Sure do, better be carefull

*L* Nooo.. just a joke. :) |
Your group has heated discussions all through the day, but in the end it comes to voting, and Shorty gets the short straw. At the end, with everyone surrounding him, he starts to mount an impassioned defense of his innocence but is cut short by several people with knives stabbing him to death. Unfortunately, he is an innocent villager.
Votes: Airhog - 3 (KevinNU7, Desnudo, Lathum) Desnudo - 3 (condors, ntndeacon, Airhog) NoMyths - 5 (Neuqua, Shorty, EaglesFan27, KWhit, Mustang) Shorty - 7 (NoMyths, Swaggs, TazFTW, Jon, George W Bush, McSweeny, Qwikshot) Neuqua - 1 BrianD Night Turn 2 Jon Swaggs TazFTW Airhog NoMyths Qwikshot Neuqua ntndeacon McSweeny Shorty - Lynched on Day 1 (villager) Kwhit Mustang BrianD Condors Eaglesfan GWB KevinNU7 Desnudo Lathum Night draws close. I need PMs from the wolves, doctor, bodyguard, seer, and sorceror if I don't already have them. |
Poor Shorty. We hardly knew thee...
|
Sorry Shorty. :( The one thing I dislike about this game is that someone has to die early, and it's usually an innocent since the rest of the people have nothing to go on.
|
I knew Shorty wasn't a werewolf. However someone had to be lynched this first day without any sort of clues to go on. It's really a coin toss as to who to choose. No hard feelings Desnudo. I didnt vote for you to be lynched because I thought you were a werewolf, so much as a didnt think Shorty or Nomyths was one. I guess I could have abstained from the vote, but that might have been construed as being suspicious.
|
Quote:
I can tell you that abstaining is very suspicious. It comes off like you either can't vote for either candidate since you know something, or that you don't want to give anyone more analysis of your voting pattern. I expect the occasional missed vote due to RL considerations but abstain at your own risk. ;) |

And thanks for not hanging me, guys. Now just don't eat me. :) |

Quote:
I didn't think Shorty was a werewolf myself because he seemed generally miffed at being tagged as a werewolf and that everyone jumped on his bandwagon. |
Quote:
As if the werewolf wouldn't? Well, unless it was Airhog who seems to delight in declaring his wolven nature. |
Quote:
:: Locks room and hides under his bedsheets :: |
Quote:
Never said a wolf wouldn't be miffed... just meant he sounded genuine in his defense. But.. whatever the reason we were both right in not voting for Shorty.. Us voting for NoMyths is to be determined. |
I kinda think that none of us picked a werewolf. Of course, I am just going on last game patterns at this point.
|
I just realized that at this point Airhog has just about screwed me over.
Claiming to want to eat me randomly like that is going to bring everyones suspicions my way. Heck, if he had chosen ANY one else I would have my mind on them as being a possible werewolf too so I can't blame you guys. I'm innocent though! Really! Don't sacrifice yet another one of yourselves! |
Quote:
Maybe it's the alcohol or maybe it's the late time of night, but I don't follow your reasoning.. Airhog's proclaimation that he is a werewolf and that he is going to eat you, puts my suspicion firmly on his shoulders. |
Sorry Shorty, I know how you are feeling. Airhogs comments are very interesting. If Neuqua does get eatin first is it Airhog playing reverse psycology? although Neuqua voted for BrianD and he was the only one to do so, that always looks very strange to me, like either he knows something the rest of us don't or they are both werewolves trying to protect each other since neither of them were in much danger.
|
Quote:
Easy there, BrianD voted for Neuqua, not the other way around. I really only did that because I wasn't feeling good about the Shorty vote. Keep in mind as well that I was the only one to say something in defense of Shorty. Actually, it wasn't in his defense, I just pointed out that nobody was trying to defend him so that must make him innocent. |

Still waiting for multiple people to PM me for their night turn actions. Once I have those I'll set Sunday night late for the lynching deadline I think.

looks like our initial theory of the slackers might be correct
|
Death to the Wereolf slackers!

Quote:
By bringing my name into it however in a way he's already whether on purpose or not made a connection between our two characters. So now my own unbiased thinking would be that by proclaiming he was a werewolf and then using my name as well, he could possibly just be trying to use reverse psychology and have the rest of you instead NOT vote for us two because he couldn't possibly be dumb enough to out himself and his partner in crime now could he? It would be an insanely high stake gamble on his part, and unfortunatly for me and my fellow villagers it is not one we need to take up on. We are already down one villager, we cannot even the stakes even more for the bad side. I can sit here and tell you for sure that I am indeed a villager and that executing me would be a mistake. The wolf is among us, whether it be my own personal paranoia of the game or not, I am going to have to give a hard strong look in Airhog's direction now. |
c'MON people
|
Quote:
Yeah, that would be a pretty bold gamble for him to say that he was the werewolf if he actually WAS the ww. I doubt he did that. |
Hiding in plain sight can sometimes be very effective. Perhaps, that is airhog's strategy?
|
Well at the very least whoever the seer is may be keeping a close eye on him.
|
Sorry Shorty. I think whoever makes the most noise at the start always runs the risk of getting waxed.
|
Man this looks like fun. I hope to join in next game. Poor shorty.
|
Of course, doesn't necessarily mean that the wolves are the slackers. Anyone with a role could be... don't think either side has an advantage knowing there are slackers.
|
you know, some people also have lives. I'm just not one of them

I am not a werewolf. I may be a hunter, a seer, an bodyguard, a werewolf, but I am not a porn star.
|
ok well since we lynched an innocent, should we be discussing strategy?
|
Quote:
Personally, I think we need to wait to see who gets eaten to really discuss strategy in depth. |
Quote:
We could, but it would be helpful to see what happens in the night turn. We have nothing more to go on than yesterday, other than Shorty being a villager. |
*puts some garlic around his neck. Wonders if his memory is correct and werewolves don't like garlic, or is that only vampires?*
|
Let's lynch a werewolf this time.
|
Good gameplan.
|
Quote:
Looked that up when I figured out I could throw silver spoons at NM. Silve = bad for werewolfs. Garlic is bad for vamps. |
Good idea
|
Alot of people hanging around. Not that I'm in a hurry to be eatin or lynched, but what's the holdup?
|
*puts a silver cross around his neck in addition to the garlic. Hey it can't hurt.*
|
I think Peregrine is still waiting for some PM's. Of course, he also might not around now..

The morning is cloudy, with fog covering your view of the outdoors through the few unshuttered windows. It's one of those quiet, dead mornings where nothing seems quite real. You all get up and cautiously make your way to the main room, where you do a headcount and realize the no one is missing, for the second night in a row! Were you mistaken about the werewolves? Possibly, but no one wants to face that possibility now that there is blood on all of your hands. No, they must still be among you, but who?
Day Turn 2 Jon Swaggs TazFTW Airhog NoMyths Qwikshot Neuqua ntndeacon McSweeny Shorty - Lynched on Day 1 (villager) Kwhit Mustang BrianD Condors Eaglesfan GWB KevinNU7 Desnudo Lathum |
Sorry for the delay all, got tied up with some errands with the GF today and took longer than expected to get back and put up the reply. For now I'll set the lynch deadline as 11 pm Eastern on Sunday night. However, if you guys think that won't be enough time since a lot of today was lost, we can move it back to Monday. We'll see how the discussions go.
|
Hmm, this is a most unexpected turn of events.
|
Most interesting, maybe someone has a secret angel watching above them. Either that, or one of the bodyguards chose to protect the one who should have been eaten. Interesting indeed.
|
I vote Airhog
He says he's a werewolf, lets find out. |
I think its enough time for sunday
|
So did we have a really smart bodyguard, or really smart wolves who picked the cursed one? As glad as I am that we didn't lose a villager, now we don't have much more to go on than we did for the first lynching.
|
The doctor could have also saved the victim.
|
Quote:
But that would've been announced, and the victim wouldnt be able to vote for the next lynch, so we'd know. |
Is it announced? I didn't see anything about it being announced, so the person who was saved could just say that RL took them away from voting.
|
Yea, but if someone gets saved they'd want to tell people, not hide it or lie
|
I would think you'd see something like this, "Person X was seen at breakfast but in horrible shape, chances are he will be in bed the rest of the day and not be voting."
I Vote Airhog You wanna "joke" that you are a werewolf then you get what is coming to you. Exteremly poor stradegy. |
He is either a barmy villager or a barmy werewolf since he declared himself a werewolf. Either way, he is a threat.
I vote Airhog |
I agree with everyone else...if you tell a room full of drunk paranoiacs that you're a furry, you get what's coming to you.
I vote Airhog |
well things cartainly are getting strange, but mob mentality is starting to take over pretty quickly.
I Vote Airhog |
Wow. Another no kill?
And I'm not sold on Airhog yet. I'm hoping somebody will say something stupid between now and tomorrow night to earn my vote. |
Another wow. Look at all the Airhog votes!
In the time it took me to type my last post another 2 people voted for him. I know what strategy NOT to try next time! |
Quote:
I can't find the post that answers this, but I thought I remember hearing that we would hear about someone being attacked but being saved. |
What was said above is as good reasoning as any I've seen thus far. And I voted for him last time before changing my vote, so:
I Vote Airhog |
