You can hear someone on stage say "shooter down" before they lift him up.

That's an awfully quick assessment of a chaotic situation with thousands of people around.

Just watched an older guy covered in blood give an interview that said he was an er doctor and worked on an individual in the stands that took a shot to the head.

It is really sad a rally goer was killed and that they will almost assuredly be politicized.

Biden needs to come out and condemn this and Trump needs to come out and say this was the work of a single, deranged person. Neither will happen and instead we are going to see an explosion in political violence.

Of course Biden is going to condemn the shooting.

I have already seen a large number of Democrats condemn this.

Biden should have been briefed of this within two minutes.

He should have already.

All this does is feed the narrative he is slow to respond to a national emergency and every additional second he doesn't address the nation proves that.

We've gone from Bush finishing reading a children's book to Biden having to be awakened at 6:30pm to be briefed.

Reports are the shooter was on a roof. Killed seconds later by a secret service sniper.

So a sniper from distance. How was there no coverage of any roof that had sight-line? That was a major Secret Service failure.

A whole lot of "ifs" with this obviously but ... IF the rooftop shooter turns out to be legit, can there be any way there's not a Congressional investigation of the Secret Service?

And IF everything is just like that BBC interview portrays, does Trump decline Secret Service protection at that point & use only his own people going forward?

They made a martyr out of they dumb nut job on January 6th, this person was just in the wrong place.

He's currently holding a press conference.

the Secret Service has had so many problems over the past decade or so. People getting into the residence, prostitution scandals, drug use, now this. It's well past time they get shaken to the core.

Not sure how you're going to stop this in America other than telling people to stop holding open air rallys.

And here I thought not buying Jack Nicklaus 4 at Goodwill for 50¢ was going to be the worst part of my day. Instead someone fails to kill Trump and kills an innocent bystander, then my daughter has a panic attack at the state swim meet and I'm not there.

He could have easily come out minutes after it happened, condemned it, then said he would brief the nation once he had more information.

And what would that have accomplished? Not everything has to move at the speed of twitter.

The pictures of the rooftop and the body of the shooter are shocking. He wasn't exactly well-hidden.

hypothesis:

Every trump rally from now on will have 75% of the crowd packing and some will open carry. This will cause everyone to draw weapons at the slightest flinch and the dumber of those opening fire every speech. All MAGAs are wiped off the planet in 28 days.

I would have shown the president is available and ready to address the nation at a moments notice in a crisis.

Do you not realize the narrative is going to be he needed to be woken up?

Now that we know it was a sniper, man that came close. It was a tough shot that nearly got there.
