UNVOTE HOOPs

VOTE TANGLEWOOD

KWhit 03-07-2006 07:46 PM

Very interesting run of votes to Tangle. I don't have an opinion on him either way. Can someone give me the quick argument for voting for him?

Grammaticus 03-07-2006 07:46 PM

I am suspicious of Tanglewood and feel if everyone wants this choice, I will place my vote there as well. He is as suspect as anyone else on my list. I'm not sure about Taz and Hoops is definately still someone that should be a concern, but not getting any traction there. Letting Hoops, Barkeep/Path and AE by is a HUGE mistake. I think AE the is most likely to be good, but one of the other two should get tested here.

Poli 03-07-2006 07:46 PM

Gramm, just a compel check, can you explain your vote?

Poli 03-07-2006 07:47 PM

dola, never mind.

stkelly52 03-07-2006 07:47 PM

I don't know that I trust tangle, but i do trust him more than I do Ardent, and it seems to me that Ardent has strongly been pushing the vote to go in Tangle's direction. At the end of the last round I was most suspicious of AE, and his claim of a forced vote leads me question him even more. Now he is leading everyone down a path that I doubt.

Unvote taz
Vote Ardent

I just typed it without refreshing the browser and did not see your post.

hoopsguy 03-07-2006 07:48 PM

Gram, are you in control of that vote? While I appreciate having a vote removed from me I would prefer to know that you are calling the shots and not some other entity.

Yes, it is fully my vote. I want to vote Tanglewood.

Vote Ardent

Where does that lead the vote to? If that pushes me ahead of taz, then you start moving up my suspect list.

hoopsguy 03-07-2006 07:50 PM

nm, was headed down same line of thought as Ardent.

hoopsguy 03-07-2006 07:51 PM

Not yet voted - Taz, Tanglewood

Poli 03-07-2006 07:51 PM

Anyone got a good long term goal? I've got furthing my education and having children. I think coaching in the NFL may be a reach.

Poli 03-07-2006 07:52 PM

Just a theory, if taz and tangle vote me...and get some compelled votes, I could be gone.

That's a lot of compelled votes. The only one we saw the other night was you. Do you think the Sith have that kind of capability?

hoopsguy 03-07-2006 07:54 PM

Ardent, assuming that my vote is not compelled I'll be trying to keep that scenario from unfolding. I think it is pretty unlikely, but ...

Poli 03-07-2006 07:54 PM

Never mind, didn't see the Gramm vote in the 2nd row. I feel safe.

I would like to think that only 1 Sith would have such an ability...but we could be looking at a few of them having it.

Hmm...if that is the case, I doubt we have one of those cunning Sith or brutal Siths in this game.

My belief is that you are bad, it would not move me up if I am right. I hope I am wrong because it really looks like tangle will be gone tonight, and I would much rather see a sith go down.

Poli 03-07-2006 08:03 PM

I can't be simple enough about this. Those of you who think I am a Sith, think that I am bad, think I'm whatever other than a basic jedi:

You are wrong.

Poli 03-07-2006 08:09 PM

Long term goal #3: Get back into coaching...it's not the NFL...but I'll take it.

Poli 03-07-2006 08:10 PM

Hmm...I just thought of something.

Has anyone kept track of who has dueled who in the deaths?

Didn't saldana say those were randomly selected?

Poli 03-07-2006 08:15 PM

Theory: I know Saldana said it was random...but from what I recall, I know Schmidty and myself have been involved. I know I'm a jedi, and I know Schmidty was.

I wonder if we look back at the other lynchs what that would reveal. Has dubb been involved in any of them? How about taz or tangle?

the duel opponents are entirely random and have nothing to do with anything. that is why the lightsaber colors are being kept out

Never mind, I don't like the concept anymore. We haven't caught a full fledged Sith yet. Therefore, it wouldn't be a stretch to think a Sith would mow down a Jedi.

My theory is that Saldana wouldn't have a Sith cut down a Sith.

KWhit 03-07-2006 08:22 PM

Well I haven't seen anything from Tangle that makes me want to move my vote from Taz, so I'll leave it where it is based on his vote-for-himself strategy from yesterday and earlier today.

TazFTW 03-07-2006 08:23 PM

VOTE JEEBERD

Poli 03-07-2006 08:23 PM

?

hoopsguy 03-07-2006 08:25 PM

Has Tanglewood been in the thread all day?

Poli 03-07-2006 08:26 PM

Not that I recall, but that is a tactic I've used as a bad guy in the past.

Not that it matters, but Tangle and Taz were the first ones to kill the day one vote.

Grammaticus 03-07-2006 08:31 PM

Hi Barkeep, where is your alter ego Path?

Thanks.

saldana 03-07-2006 08:40 PM

Taz seems destined for his destiny during the early part of the day, but by the time the end of the evening come, it is Tanglewood that the remainder of the group has decided is most likely to be a Sith.

He is waiting for you all as you enter the room tonight, much as Lathum was when it was his turn to be sacrificed. Tangle appears to be in a trance of some sort, his eyes closed, his lightsaber lying on his lap in front of him. You look around at one another, and very slowly, Pennywisesb and Path 12 move towards him.

Without even opening his eyes, Tanglewood says serenly,"It is not my wish to harm a fellow Jedi, but it is also not my wish to die here tonight." Path and Penny brace themselves, awaiting Tangle's attack, but it does not come yet. The continue to advance, and as they move to within sword distance, they both ignite their blades mid-stroke towards Tangle.

But Tangle is not there any more. Without even opening his eyes, Tangle sprung from his trance position and away to safety. Path and Penny look from one to another and both move again towards Tangle, this time their lightsabers ready and moving significantly faster. As they converge upon Tanglewood, the gentle hum of his golden yellow blade joins Path and Penny's.

They attack, and in an amazing display of acrobatics and swordsmanship, he manages to either parry or avoid altogether, each and every one of Path and Penny's attack strokes. What makes it even more amazing is that he STILL HAS HIS EYES CLOSED. Whatever the trance is that Tanglewood is using, it is enabling him to anticpate the moves of his attackers with exacting precision.

Tangle flips and parries his way around the room, the golden blade easily countering Penny and Path. As he works his way back towards the remainder of the assembly, it is evident that he is straining to maintain his trance. Then, totally without warning, the snap-hiss of another lightsaber is heard and Tanglewood stops where he is standing. As he looks down at his own chest, he sees the tip of Cartman's lightsaber emerging from the center.

The battle had wound its way through the room until it reached the edges of the Jedi standing watch. Cartman, in an instant decison to surprise Tanglewood and assist Penny and Path, waited until Tangle was passing in front of him and ignited his lightsaber directly into Tanglewood's back. The split second decision by Cartman allowed no opportunity for Tangle to parry, move, or otherwise defend himself.

Tanglewood blinks, his trance broken as the searing blade tunneled through his torso. His last act is to look at each of you as he sags to the ground. "May the Force be with you, always" he gasps as his life leaves him, his golden yellow blade extinguishing itself as it falls from his grip.

Day 5 has ended. It is now night 5. Night actions are due by 9:30am Wednesday.

Any idea what golden yellow could mean? I hope it doesn't mean that he was the seer.

Grammaticus 03-07-2006 08:45 PM

I don't like the sound of a yellow blade.

SnDvls 03-07-2006 08:45 PM

well so much for the suspicious late vote switch. that sucked.

where to now?

KWhit 03-07-2006 08:45 PM

That sucks.

SnDvls 03-07-2006 08:46 PM

didn't someone else have a yellow blade?
