The drones are back. I counted what could be at least 5 over my house. They are hovering lights, but it is too dark out, can't see any other stars.

I just received a link to an article that has this headline.

The article has the guy's mugshot plastered at the top of the page. Innocent until proven guilty et cetera, et cetera.

BUT....

Whether he is guilty or not, that guy and his family have to move right? Change names? Even if the case is dismissed, I struggle to think of a neighborhood in that small town where the residents are unseeing that headline and the details of that story. He is and forever will be the guy that was arrested on those charges. no matter what. On one hand, I completely understand putting his name and picture out there because of his role as a youth coach. However, I am not sure how much reputation restoration comes with a not guilty verdict after those charges and that affidavit reach the public domain.

It's such a bizarre/unexplained story. Cops chase hit-and-run suspects into a neighborhood and come across this woman, gun drawn. She refuses to put it down, is shot and arrested. No connection to the hit-and-run. And it's Weezer's bassist's wife. WTF?

Between this and the Gene Hackman thing, we've had a run of just weird celebrity stories. Like, not Kanye level insane. Just things not adding up weird.

She claims the suspects tried to break into her home as they fled. But, that still doesn't explain why she refused to drop the gun and (allegedly) pointed it at the officers. Maybe she was traumatized and didn't believe they were cops? Who knows.

Also, this wouldn't have happened if they were in Beverly Hills. Isn't that where they want to go?

Hope we get body cam on this. Is it that she didn't actually point the gun, or was it that she pointed the gun in surprise? The least likely is she knowingly pointed the gun at police, but then who knows? Maybe she was stoned.

I am appalled by her lack of commitment to the bit. At least dive on the floor or crash into a wall if you want us to believe you. The boot and crutches will be a good look if they ever end up in court.
