I'm surprised so many people continue to use IE. It was probably the top browser for a few years in the early 2000's as MS fought to pass Netscape, but they got stagnant and Firefox innovated the shit out of them.

Probably has something to do with it coming with Windows and for businesses.

most people (myself included) just want to browse the web and don't give a rats ass if one browser is better than another. so ie will win by default in all of those cases.

Oh, I'm 100% certain it's because it comes installed on Windows machines and many people don't bother searching for alternate browsers.

I see no ads with Chrome and the built-in AdBlocker plug-in. And faster video playback, and just better overall design on how it works.
