Mother fucker, that TBS idiot is on Fox as well? Is there no respite?

Crapshoot 10-28-2007 07:00 PM

Dola,
DC - I don't think cutting and pasting paid-for content is kosher. At all.

Fine.

Young Drachma 10-28-2007 07:16 PM

I've seen it done here for other stuff. But I guess it's a case-by-case thing. No worries.

sterlingice 10-28-2007 07:19 PM

Yeah, better be safe than sorry. :)

So, what are the odds of this going to a game 5?

Atocep 10-28-2007 07:32 PM

Anyone notice that McCarver's 'Keys to the game' are always variations on 'Win'?

Thats some outstanding sports analysis.

SirFozzie 10-28-2007 07:58 PM

Yup, that Papi is such a defensive liability at 1B ;)

cuervo72 10-28-2007 09:39 PM

First I've turned on the series...and Buck sounds like he's doing PbP for a wake.

FOX must be loving this series.

Young Drachma 10-28-2007 09:41 PM

These Rockies have been painful to watch. Painful. For a team that looked so great less than two weeks ago, this has been just awful to have to endure.

I think the whole "it has to be the layoff" conversation will begin, but given how good the Red Sox are, no one has wielded it, since folks would just say, "the Red Sox are better, rawr..."

But if the Rockies could've played sooner, I think that they would've at least made a series of it, because they really did play out of their minds for about three weeks and it was great to watch.

But oh well...time to go out and sign some guys.

Young Drachma 10-28-2007 09:55 PM

Nothing would make me happier than to see a former Blue Jay get rocked on the mound as Timlin gets ready to come in.

Too bad I can't put J.P. Riccardi's head on a tee. Ricky Romero with the sixth pick of the '05 draft rather than Troy Tulowitzski. (who went 7th) Someone ought to fire him now just for thinking that was a good idea. Morons.

RendeR 10-28-2007 10:00 PM

You know. I am sick to death of these disgusting nasty grimy dirt encrusted hats and helmets these overpaid prima-donnas wear.

SHINE THOSE FUCKING HELMETS YOU LOSERS.

SirFozzie 10-28-2007 10:04 PM

Man, Tito is looking like a fucking genius this post season, with just about every move he's making working out just right.

Young Drachma 10-28-2007 10:07 PM

Well, give them credit for wanting to put this team out of its misery...

Logan 10-28-2007 10:09 PM

It's nice that Ken Rosenthal was able to confirm SI's story.

SirFozzie 10-28-2007 10:39 PM

This is the problem with asking your relievers to do 4 innings or so every game.

bhlloy 10-28-2007 10:42 PM

Didn't they have an interview with Francona earlier where he said he wouldn't be using Okajima unless it was the "perfect situation"?

SirFozzie 10-28-2007 11:07 PM

How Sweep it is.

Best Sports Week, ever.

SirFozzie 10-28-2007 11:14 PM

Warning: Geek/Nerd Joke ahead:

Apparently, Jonathan Papelbon is so money, that the Apple store now only accepts the following as payment for the iPhone: debit cards, credit cards, checks, and vials of Jonathan Papelbon's sweat.

tucker rocky 10-28-2007 11:19 PM

Oh yeah, '07 baseball season ends with a yawner.

Colorado's carriage has now turned into a pumpkin finally, everything is back to normal folks.

MizzouRah 10-28-2007 11:19 PM

The series had its moments, tip of the cap to Boston.

Buccaneer 10-28-2007 11:26 PM

That was a lot of fun to watch. I am very happy for Mike Lowell, what a great story.

SunDevil 10-28-2007 11:33 PM

Between that and the fact that the Red Sox have more talent, I think we are looking at a sweep here.

You are a wise man...

Well, I guess 5 out of 12 months aint too bad. :)

p.s. Enough with that Robert Lang nonsense.

sterlingice 10-30-2007 07:16 PM

I was feeling pretty good about Chicago until three losses against some filth (for the most part). Then again, I think we're in the wrong thread for this...
