Incoming pardon.

It's an ethics complaint against someone who's never running for office ever again. If she wants cash, she'll probably whore herself out as a lobbyist. Doubt she'll even ask

After $189B of student debt forgiveness, cancellation ... Thinking this is what happens when you address the symptom/result but not the cause.
US student debt ends Biden era bigger than when he took office Quote:
IMO better way to address one part of the issue vs freebie. Quote:
I'd still like some of these Universities to contribute in fixing this problem, many have nice endowment funds. Quote:
And I do understand that some of the $189B was due to government mismanagement, errors etc. There should be an investigation and the US taxpayers should know who and key root causes of those problems, who made what decisions (or ignored them) and when. |

Which would qualify Sinema as a great presidential candidate for 2028, according to today's standards. |
The Biden administration says that NIL is subject to title IX and must be spread equally between mens and women's sports.
This is very bad decision that could put title IX at risk with a conservative SCOTUS. I don't see the Trump admin following through with this interpretation but if it does, there will be lawsuits. |
From what I read it doesn't really matter since he's in office for 3 more days. They seem to be doing a lot of these PR stunts at the last minute. Likely realize how bad the last 4 years have been and trying to save some face for "legacy" discussions.

Which makes absolutely zero sense. Collectives were created specifically to be unaffiliated with schools before the revenue sharing came about. It's completely unenforceable. Just a really, really bad decision all around that, if enforced, would likely lead to a serious challenge to Title IX as a whole. |

Joe is also senile. |
There seems to be a lot of that going around DC these days.

Market performance under the Presidents. Joe's 4 years ...
Dow - a little better than averagemarketwatch.com I'd forgotten how bad markets were under W. The Lost Decade indeed. Nice chart on the 2.5 months after election & inauguration. |

Squandering 3 trillion dollars on invading a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 certainly didn't help in that regard. |
Halliburton's stock price went from $6 in 2001 to $52 in 2008, so there's that.

Whelp. He issued the pardons.
Biden pardons Fauci, Milley, and members of the Jan. 6 committee | AP News |
Quote:
That's good. I had always thought pardons were for after someone had been charged/convicted of something. Not sure I like it but I understand it. |
I hate that he was forced to do that. I don't even know if Trump was going to go after them but the threat was enough to justify it. I'm staying away from social media and TV today and the foreseeable future. I don't need any more reasons to be depressed.
|
I was against these pardons until Trump said they had committed major crimes. I think some of them really were at risk and this may save them.

None of them warrant saving. Most belong at the end of the shortest rope that can be found. The only silver lining in this most heinous of all Joe's crimes is that they now lose the ability to plead the 5th. So they can either testify honestly, lie and be convicted of perjury (which is NOT covered as it's an act that hadn't occurred yet), or be jailed for contempt of court. Fauci should have faced a Nuremberg(esque) trial but he can still land behind bars unless he helps convict all those who helped him perpetrate his crimes against humanity. |

What was Fauci's crimes against humanity again? |

If you can ask that after what he perpetrated, I won't waste either of our time trying to get you to understand. |
So... nothing.

His most serious crime is that he believes COVID exists and vaccines work. Remember it’s 2025 now. All those people that died had the flu or car crashes or whatever. Also vaccines cause immediate death so him telling people they work is akin to leading them to the firing squad. Get with the times. |

An overwrought response to a dubious situation that he contributed to the existence of. Immeasurable damage to the economy, immeasurable human suffering created by the measures he advocated. The only problem with hanging him is that you can't hang the American Mengele twice. |
Very normal response to having to wear a mask at Chipotle.

Covid was fake. But if it was real, Fauci got a piece of the action. Cover all your bases.

So not only the Republicans take credit for something none of them ever voted for with the Infrastructure Bill, Donald Trump is taking credit for an Infrastructure Week that never happened during his first Presidency:

Joe Biden has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of prostate cancer. It seems still veey treatable but they say it has metastasized in the bone, which sounds really bad.

It ain't good, that's for damn sure. Some quick reading tells me that the situation can/may be similar to some of the shit we went through around here (which is the reason I'm commenting my tiny bit of fwiw) It seems that when prostate cancer spread to bone, it may (does?) retain the traits of the original cancer. If that's the case, and if it is indeed hormone-sensitive as articles are saying, then if they hit on an effective hormone therapy course for the prostate portion then it should likely be effective on the bone as well. "Effective" may not be without complications -- we're talking about a compromised bone in an elderly person after all -- but it can slow/stop the spread, worse complications, etc. |
Ugh, that sucks.

F cancer and all that.

Karma has a way of working out in the end.

Didn’t finish strong but thank him for his years of service

The guy oversaw a genocide that killed hundreds of thousands of people, including tens of thousands of children. His ego and narcissism led to a Trump 2nd term that will destroy countless lives. Not to mention his history of supporting a war in Iraq that killed a million civilians or his bankruptcy bill that put an entire generation into insurmountable debt. He's one of the most despicable humans to ever hold office. But hey, if it makes you feel better, maybe there was a Hamas facility in his pancreas. That seems to be a justification he accepts. |
keep fucking that chicken. Cheering on someone getting cancer, maybe that karma you're such a fan of will run you down.
|
If I am responsible for the deaths of that many people, I would hope so.
|
Not sure how guy lives well past his peer's average lifespan is somehow an example of bad karma. You do realize we are all going to end the same way, right?
