leaving for home

Schmidty 07-08-2009 04:18 PM

Ok, I just caught up on the past 4 pages. From what read, I'm going to agree with (path I think) in that when PB was threatened, there was a really suspicious run to get those votes off of him. At this point, I'm going with:

Vote PurdueBad

Barkeep49 07-08-2009 04:26 PM

Forewarning that there will be likely coverage gap sometime after 5:30.

vote the jackal

I mean, I thought your vote was silly, and I got kind of angry because it turned into a run on me.. I think it was justified. I didn't blow my top or anything.

The Jackal 07-08-2009 04:37 PM

I don't want to add another candidate to the mix, or I might give saldana another look. If I'm choosing between PB and clap, I think it's more likely clap is just being weird.

VOTE PB

I'm out for dinner and dishes and putting kids to bed. I'll be back in sometime this evening.

FYI - I'll be pretty quiet today due to a death in my fiancee's family. I have to bring her to the airport a little later.

Expect to see more of me tomorrow for sure.

Sorry for you and your fiancee's loss.

Danny 07-08-2009 04:45 PM

Dp we have a vote count?

I need to leave for class in about 15 minutes, so will reevaluate my vote now and won;t be on again until probably after lynch.

Danny 07-08-2009 04:55 PM

Unvote Chief Rum
Vote PurdueBrad

I may revisit the CR vote later, but I think out of the two day 1 vote getters it is more likely PB is a wolf then NTN. Clap is not a bad vote either, but I don't want a runaway here.

PurdueBrad 07-08-2009 04:58 PM

Self-defense for now.

vote Claphamsa

hoopsguy 07-08-2009 05:41 PM

Well, I'm not sure how big a deal it is with no moderators around the thread - starting now - when there haven't been any posts in the last 40 minutes.

BK will probably be back here in the next 60-90 minutes if there are any questions to answer. I'll be back here (for more than a minute or two at a time) in a little less than three hours.

Chief Rum 07-08-2009 06:01 PM

Hmm, I would love to parse this whole PB-clap thing, but fact is, I still feel a little too under pressure, and this is my general short check in before skipping out for the afternoon. As such, I think I'm going to need to put in a self-preservation vote, since I won't be around to address things before a likely lynch.

I will be back tonight to catch up and see what goes down.

VOTE CLAPHAMSA

claphamsa 07-08-2009 06:19 PM

well llooks like im gonna get lynched..... here the pm i sent to DT

Im some far programmer... and I have special privelages with other programmers, but I dont know who they are......so fi someone tells you they are one of the programmers its good for me to know (maybe) probably wont matter :)

nothing vaguely wolfy..... im dead so whatever.... just stop letting someone who knows little more than you lead you around by your noses. and thanks for reminding me why i stopped playing WW in the first place.

EagleFan 07-08-2009 06:32 PM

What is the case against clap? He isn't anyone that pinged my wolfdar, but it seems to be faulty lately anyway.

The Jackal 07-08-2009 06:33 PM

He went off on DT and then rest of us for following DT, that's pretty much it.

The Jackal 07-08-2009 06:36 PM

But honestly clap you only have yourself to blame, you could've been cordial about suggesting that following DT blindly wasn't a good idea (which none of us ever said it was.. it was just day 1..), but you weren't cordial, you pinged a bunch of people's radars, and even if you're just good and being clap (which I had suspected) you can't act like this came out of nowhere.

claphamsa 07-08-2009 06:40 PM

i dont think it came out of nowhere. i just think its foolish. for people to think that DT actually knows anything... is ridiculous. we know hes good... what else? thats it. who is to say mine or any other PM is accurate?

claphamsa 07-08-2009 06:41 PM

he might have more info.... but its probably LESS accurate than the info we have... and because of it well have 2 lynches and night killings (minimum) with no info gained from it.

The Jackal 07-08-2009 06:41 PM

No one is to say that it's accurate, but on day one, when we have nothing to go on, if he thought he found an inconsistency or something fishy in someone's PM, that sounds better to me than a lot of reasons for most day 1 votes.

I doubt that, it's not like KWhit was an early runaway. And this hasn't really been a runaway on you, there's plenty of room for vote analysis.

That's not exactly a reason to lynch him though. Why would a wolf go off on DT about leading everyone to vote out a villager?

claphamsa 07-08-2009 06:44 PM

everyone will just fall back on, i was following jack!

I never said it was a reason to lynch him, and I'm not voting for him. So yeah, other people are welcome to answer that.

claphamsa 07-08-2009 06:45 PM

one thing to think of.... why would a wolf play the way i have?

Yes, that's a danger if you follow that route everyday. You can't let wolves hide in day after day of runaway votes - but we've had at least some movement going on here, I don't think all is lost. And you aren't lynched.. yet.

Probably wouldn't unless they have to trigger something by getting lynched.

Autumn 07-08-2009 06:49 PM

It's not just Clap's talk about DT that's getting him votes. It is the fact that DT has reason to suspect his role is a fake one. That's the main reason to vote him, as far as I can see, DT has said he is one of the two suspicious role reveals left. The fact that he therefore came out this morning against DT makes me suspicious that he realized he was under the gun and had to try to convince people not to listen to DT's gut. The fact that he did so in true clap fashion is just clap.

The Jackal 07-08-2009 06:50 PM

Oh, that's right, I forgot he was one of DT's two questionable PM people.

Ufortunately I've seen wolves say that very statement so that doesn't help much.

DT has no reason to suspect anything.

Except in comparing your PMs to all the others he received, presumably.

claphamsa 07-08-2009 07:07 PM

i psoted my pm.... anything suspicious about it to anyone other than DT?

ntndeacon 07-08-2009 07:09 PM

I think some of the suspicion on clap has been his questioning of what DT knows. which is good to a degree, we should question what we believe. I am also a little less likely to vote for him since I was the thing he was railing agaist following. Thus if it is just clap vs pB we are talking about then
Vote Purduebrad

Not really, but DT presumably knows a lot of people's roles and if no other programmers have made themselves apparent to them, maybe one of you is a wolf, I don't know exactly what the line of thinking is.

well per the rules.... there were maybe 30 ish roles? and 6 were programmers... so there HAS to be another programmer.....

There may not be anything suspicious in the pm itself Clap, its the fact that no one apparantly has told DT that they are a programmer as well, and apparantly nobody claiming to be a programmer has tried to contact you via one of our four free PM's either. Why if they are good, would a programmer hold that back from DT the only known good in the game?

Passacaglia 07-08-2009 07:22 PM
