I accept paypal.

hoopsguy 06-22-2008 09:09 AM

Poli, can I be the duke? I have never, ever been a duke in something like 40 games of werewolf. K, thx.

yeah, that hoops is always a wolf

SnDvls 06-22-2008 11:42 AM

I'd like the poster formerly know as AE to make me just a vanilla villager...thanks

SnDvls 06-22-2008 11:43 AM

dola, and I realize that makes me a pretty low pick and my ego can handle that :)

EagleFan 06-22-2008 12:23 PM

Count me in.

hoopsguy 06-22-2008 12:25 PM

So, 17 players so far? I guess that entitles me to what, about 6-7 wolves?

Passacaglia 06-22-2008 12:31 PM

Will GMs be able to post?

hoopsguy 06-22-2008 12:41 PM

Sadly, no. I would like to taunt all of the hapless villagers, but that option won't be available to me.

Although if you guys end up clowning my team I guess you have every right to mock me in the thread.

Passacaglia 06-22-2008 12:44 PM

Lame.

RendeR 06-22-2008 01:15 PM

Sign me up.

Lathum 06-22-2008 06:43 PM

I would like to be a wolf please

hoopsguy 06-22-2008 06:52 PM

You got it. Everyone, please ignore posts #63 and #64.

hoopsguy 06-22-2008 06:54 PM

I guess that gets my first pick out of the way. Poli is on the clock.

Remember, please do not look at posts #63 and #64 if you have any integrity. K, thx.

oliegirl 06-22-2008 07:07 PM

Very disappointing. I guess we know who will be the brutal wolf kill now.

Barkeep49 06-22-2008 09:38 PM

Lathum you should have spoiler tagged that. If they looked then they were just asking for the game to be ruined.

Telle 06-22-2008 09:48 PM

I'll play.

I probably wouldn't take anything I say (pre-draft, of course) all that seriously.

You're the best, RendeR :)

Schmidty 06-23-2008 04:53 AM

What time is the "afternoon deadline"? We're PST, and my wife doesn't have internet access at work.

I didn't take it seriously Hoops...hence the big grinning smilie after my "vote". I figured everyone would know I was joking, but I guess not...

Alan T 06-23-2008 07:50 AM

I'll play. Just got back in town from the weekend!

I've never been to the weekend. Is it affordable?

No gas prices are crazy. I would stick to the weekday if I were you.

Passacaglia 06-23-2008 08:25 AM

That's so weird -- I was planning a trip there myself in about five days!

Poli 06-23-2008 08:51 AM

I wouldn't recommend sticking a steak knife into your left index finger. It hurts quite a bit.

Affordable is debatable, but damn if my weekend didn't try to drown me.

Went camping at a local state park and telle took the kids for a birthday party saturday nd to give me a day to myself to relax. Everything was great, walked the nature trail, enjoyed the sun...till about 5:30....then it appears the gods were angry with the park as a 2 hour long severe thunderstorm wracked the entire place with thumb sized rain drops and lightning and 40-50 mph winds.

Even after that part died down it rained until sometime after midnight.

And there I sat in my dampened tent cursing the fact that I traded my ARK tickets for this damned camp site.....

Alan T 06-23-2008 09:14 AM

For the lack of any better place to post this.. One thing I did not expect to see while on vacation..

A native Canadian (not sure what they are called in Canada, but the equivalent to a native american that lives in Canada), in the middle of Montreal wearing a Dirk Nowitski basketball jersey.

Not that it is a huge deal, just not really something I expected to see in Montreal. :)

path12 06-23-2008 09:15 AM

Just realized that I'm way booked this week. I need to drop out.

That's rough.

Qwikshot 06-23-2008 10:26 AM

I have to pass :( My brother is getting married on Saturday and I have my daughter for two months, this is our first full week with her living at my house...prolly too distracting for me to be involved...

st.cronin 06-23-2008 10:35 AM

Tentative list of roles and rules:

Roles and additional rules (some of these will be posted in the thread, some will only be revealed to the player with the role, some will be known only to us three:

Villager roles

Seer
Fake Seer (thinks he's the seer, but isn't - revealed as seer upon death)
Spy (can follow one player per night - if he follows the wolf making the kill, he can id the wolf)
Bodyguard
2 Masons (no pm rights, and are not allowed to reveal upon pain of death)
Duke
Philosopher (scans for the cultist)
Hunter (Villagers win if he is one of the last two players)

Wolf roles

Cunning wolf (scans as villager)
Brutal wolf
cultist (counts as a villager, wins with the wolves, knows the wolves but has no pm rights - selected by the wolf team)
Sorceror (scans for the seer)
Regular wolf

Only the cunning wolf can kill any player - all other wolves may only kill a player who has voted for them that day. The wolves may kill 1 player per night.

GoldenEagle 06-23-2008 10:35 AM

I will forgo my final eligibility at work and declare myself eligible for the draft.

Lathum 06-23-2008 10:38 AM

Does the fake seer get an opposite scan or completely random or what?

claphamsa 06-23-2008 10:40 AM

what is a mason?

That's for me (also hoops and Poli) to know.

The masons are 2 or more villagers who start out the game knowing each others role. In some games, they have pm rights as well, but not this one - its simply a voting advantage for the village.

Passacaglia 06-23-2008 10:54 AM

Any conversion rules?

There are no conversions.

Lathum 06-23-2008 11:05 AM

is no vote or no lynch an option?

Are roles revealed upon death?

PackerFanatic 06-23-2008 11:11 AM

It's been a damn long time since I have joined a game, so if there is still a spot open - I wouldn't mind joining :)
