Pretty sure anyone who has a probate going on isn't caring too much anymore about what's going on with it.

Good to know.

Autumn 05-05-2014 05:48 PM

Okay caught up. Haven't really paid attention to the votes much yet, I'm more curious about the rule set.

#1 - what do we think the Doctor and Nurse do? Sherrif seems obvious, but Nurse and Doctor don't necessarily sound anything like seers. Perhaps can revive a lynched/killed toon, but not sure.

#2 - I wonder if the Mayor will be elected the same way every day?

#3 - I was thinking fixing the portal would be the endgame but it sounds like something that could happen sooner than later. What will be the impact of access to the Tube do we think?

Chief Rum 05-05-2014 05:49 PM

I am curious what the Mayor does. It might be a duke role, so I feel a little better about a Day One vote on Zinto and putting the pressure on him.

DaddyTorgo 05-05-2014 05:50 PM

It seems to be clear to me that you all are waiting for the Prince of Eternia to lead you in your decision-making.

Based upon his placing of an early vote (on the person who laid the first vote out there today) and then switching to someone who already had a vote relatively early in the day, thus seeming to drop an early vote on someone who was perhaps a fellow wolf and then switch off to a villager before momentum got moving,

I Adam, Prince of Eternia and Defender of the Secrets of Castle Greyskull,

Voting for the mayor, elected by random (and transparent to us) chance, who may or may not have the ability to shift the vote? I don't see the purpose in that.

It's a virtually pre-industrial civilization, so yes...yes I believe it is environmentally friendly. Artificial (non lifeform-based) carbon emissions are virtually zero.

Do you believe I err in my vote Captain?

Zinto 05-05-2014 06:50 PM

Zoinks, first you make me the mayor and now you all want to vote me out.

britrock88 05-05-2014 06:53 PM

There will be role reveals upon players being eliminated from the game. To clear that up before it gains any traction.

1) Will have to think on this. If we think the Mayor is a standard vote switch, maybe the doctor or nurse can target someone (presumably one-time if the sheriff is the BG) to prevent a NK or lynch with healing or some such. Maybe one of them can put someone to sleep for a day to prevent posting.

2) Guess we'll find out tomorrow ;)

3) I'm thinking the portal is more of a bull moose type event, maybe random, maybe a bonus for the side that helps fix it? Or maybe the bad guys don't want to fix it, hard to say at this point.

The Jackal 05-05-2014 07:45 PM

I also find voting for the mayor weird when EF said it would be tough to knock him off to begin with. What's the point at this stage? Especially if he probably can move the vote off himself anyways?

I know what you mean. I think doctors and nurses are typically used in rulesets where wolfiness is contagious, the nurse can find infected ones and the doctor can cure them, or vice versa. I know I used it once. not sure if that applies here in any sense.

Deadline

EagleFan 05-05-2014 09:01 PM

Each deadline will consist of a story write up followed by a game summary of events and any important information or decisions for the next day.

EagleFan 05-05-2014 09:18 PM

Many of the toons are getting restless with the Portal being broken as many love going to The Tube for their "day job". The tension seems to be building as the hours roll past with the engineer working tirelessly attempting to get the portal working again.

What does this mean? What happens if you can't make it back to The Tube? That is something that many have not thought of, or thought of the consequences of staying in one side or the other.

Then the portal starts to hum to life. It is fixed!!!! You may all go to The Tube tomorrow, there seems to be joy in Toonsville yet again. The Hulk starts to lead the group in singing joyous toons... though he only attempts to keep the melody while only saying HULK SMASH.

Then a flash... All the lights in Toonsville have gone out. The portal is no longer buzzing. Gasps and shock fill the air... amongst the gasps seem to be a couple evil laughs. What evil has come to Toonsville?

Wait? What about our voting? Good question as it seems many didn't want to vote based on the standard Toonsville voting guidelines, it seems there were many Floridians present with hanging chads.

Well, since you really had no idea why you were voting at that time that you have decided that Hello Kitty is really cool. Congrats Hello Kitty, you have won the spontaneous vote of coolness. That may mean nothing at this time.

However, you now realize that you have a task ahead of you; you must find out who has sabotaged the portal. You decide that you will examine the evidence and will each vote today to narrow down the suspects as to who may be the saboteur.

With the portal down the saboteur(s) will gain an extra vote for Day 2.

.....

Day turns to night and you awake with the entire group still intact. You have a goal today of fixing the portal. If you can fix the portal today the 'village' will gain an advantage on day 3.

A voting option of fix portal is now available. If fix portal has more votes than the 2nd highest vote getting player the portal will be fixed for da 3. See the summary for more details.

EagleFan 05-05-2014 09:24 PM

Day 1 Results

The portal was fixed but ultimately sabotaged again. No player was voted out, as you had no reason to remove anyone yet without knowing if there was sabotaged so you voted claphamsa as 'really cool'.

With the portal down for day 2 the saboteur(s) will gain an extra vote for day 2.

For day 2 you may vote to fix the portal. If that vote is higher than the second leading player the portal will not be able to be sabotaged at the day 2 deadline.

Example:
Fix Portal 8
EagleFan 5
hoopsguy 2

Would lead to an EagleFan lynch and the portal being fixed.

EagleFan 8
Fix Portal 5
hoopsguy 2

Would lead to EagleFan being lynched and the portal being fixed

EagleFan 7
Fix Portal 4
hoopsgu 4

Would lead to EagleFan being lynched only.

EagleFan 8
hoopsguy 5
Fix Portal 2

Would lead to EagleFan only being lynched

Fix Portal 7
EagleFan 4
hoopsguy 4

Would lead to the portal being fixed and the tie break mechanism (blood bath) kicking in for the lynch.

The Jackal 05-05-2014 09:24 PM

Right, certainly a possibility. Either way no kill is probably a good thing. Although it may mean that the wolves added a team member last night instead of a kill - presumably as a planned mechanism if that was the case.

Fix Portal 2 - The Jackal (182), britrock88 (185)

Shit, was on phone with ex-teammate who flew into town. And now I've spent the past 20 mins trying to figure out why my vote didn't count... (I know now).

So what's the guess as to how many saboteurs there are? 3 out of 15 too many? If so they have 3 secret votes and it would seem easy to vote for Fix Portal and then put a hidden vote on someone else... or they could double vote for someone I guess.

EagleFan 05-05-2014 09:49 PM

To clarify. The saboteur(s) have a total of one extra vote, not one per.

JAG 05-05-2014 09:55 PM

Can't have everyone fix the portal or we're likely to tie the lynch vote, but obviously fix portal should do well enough to be #1 or #2.
