I agree. The knock on Williams is that he might not reach his enormous potential. The scouts think he's a bit soft in appearance, and he did get beat occasionally.

nope, wish i did

cartman 04-22-2010 07:20 PM

I haven't seen it posted anywhere, but is John C. Reilly the father of Jimmy Clausen?

wow. I had Berry switched with Williams as the only wrong one.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:23 PM

I dont like the Haden pick

Mustang 04-22-2010 07:23 PM

At least I'm 7/7 for Jim's contest. Of course, Raiders are up so, that ends that streak.

Chubby 04-22-2010 07:24 PM

MAKE IT PAST THE RAIDERS!!!

Of course, the Bills will still fuck it up if he does...

Danny 04-22-2010 07:24 PM

Come on Raiders, make a smart pick for once. Please don't draft Bruce Cambell.

You are alone in first place now.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:26 PM

quick pick, lol

I'm sure this is where it all falls apart and I'll finish in 44th place

Logan 04-22-2010 07:26 PM

I'm really surprised some of you nailed Trent Williams to the Skins. Thought Okung was the lock there. Good job.

For awhile it seemed like there was a good shot of Haden dropping to the Niners, damn it.

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:27 PM

This is a funny situation. Oakland is so ridiculed that they're connected with a player who would not be drafted in the entire first round by most teams.

bulletsponge 04-22-2010 07:27 PM

dont dissapoint us Raiders

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:27 PM

I had Haden going 9 to Buffalo

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:28 PM

fwiw I have the Raiders taking Anthony Davis but I'm sure its wrong now

Chubby 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

Dear Bills: TAKE CLAUSEN!!!

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

Rolando McClain??

Danny 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

Wow, a solid pick for once.

Mustang 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

I was way wrong on that one...

Logan 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

Wow, never disappoints.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:29 PM

wow, I def didnt have Mcclain going till 15.

Izulde 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

Wow! McClain to the Raiders is crazy!

Danny 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

Sorry, but disagree completely with Kiper. After years of taking athletes, they took a good football player for once. Tom Jackson nailed it.

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

Not a terrible pick. He wasn't going to last too much longer. Only one person had Oakland taking McClain.

bulletsponge 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

McClain is solid, yet a slight reach. but at least he wont be a bustola like many of their 1st rounders (hopefully)

JonInMiddleGA 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

Watching the Raiders draft is almost worth declaring the draft Must See TV.

Logan 04-22-2010 07:31 PM

Couple nice OTs still sitting there with the Niners at 13.

Chubby 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

Spiller, Fred Jackson and Lynch??? WTF???

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

do you take your "complimentary RB" with a top 10 pick if you have as many holes as the bills??

Vote Chubby

Danny 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

A tackle like Davis wouldn't have been bad, but I don't like Claussen. I think he is raised by a weak QB class.

Logan 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

I like the Spiller pick for Buffalo...a lot actually. Despite it being a surprise. They need some athleticism in that offense.

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

I think this is a huge mistake for the Bills. They will have to trade up if they want Tebow.

Izulde 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

Spiller to the Bills?! How does that make sense?

bulletsponge 04-22-2010 07:32 PM

LOL, take a scat back that will run at most 15 times a game! LOL even the Faiders didnt do that

Chubby 04-22-2010 07:33 PM

Great now the Bills are going QB in round 2 for sure...

Lynch has been on the block for at least a couple weeks.

Matthean 04-22-2010 07:34 PM

As a 'Bama fan, I'm kind of disappointed in having to keep track of the Raiders now. :D

Tebow might be available :)

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:34 PM

that worked out ok for me, I had Haden and Spiller swapped

To expand on this a bit...while Spiller is not quite at the level of athleticism as Chris Johnson, they do have similar types of skills. And TEN had a very bland offense that opened up a ton once Johnson got going.

Galaxy 04-22-2010 07:36 PM

As a Bills fan, I'm speechless. Which being a Bills fan, doesn't happen much in terms of personel moves.

I didn't know bills fans were so kinky ;)

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:38 PM

wow, thats a huge reach imho

(AluAlu)

and thus, my draft is focked. I didnt have him in the first round. dayum

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:38 PM

who? what?

Logan 04-22-2010 07:38 PM

Aluawho?

Were are not. That is why I said I was surprised. ;)

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:39 PM

The highest anyone had Alualu (most did not) was 28th. The Jags must have really, really loved him.

Danny 04-22-2010 07:39 PM

Thats the first big reach. What's funny is if the Raiders made a reach like that (as they did last year with bey) they would have been blasted. The guys seem to be going easy on the Jaguars so far.

Mustang 04-22-2010 07:39 PM

Al Davis buy the Jags and we weren't told?

Logan 04-22-2010 07:39 PM

Niners trade up! Give me Anthony Davis!

Galaril 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

That's why the Jags are the Jags:)

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

Yea, thats crazy wow. either gonna be a huge surprise. or a buster bust.

I root for him cause hes a hawaii boy, but even us out here on the islands thought he was 2nd round material

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

San Fran traded up?? Who do they want here??

If the Bills do decide to make a move later in the draft for Tebow, it certainly makes the offense a lot more interesting.

Lynch is done in Buffalo. He'll either be traded or released by the season opener.

Danny 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

I think it's clear teams are not willing to trade up at all forcing teams to take their guy and not trade down and pick up their guy and some extra picks.

bulletsponge 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

Alahulua must have had massive bars

Honolulu_Blue 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

Mike Mayock loves Alualu!

Galaril 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

Did Denver just trade there pick?

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:40 PM

Iupati to san fran doooooooo it.

I'm pretty sure they are gonna take A. Davis though.

Logan 04-22-2010 07:41 PM

I wouldn't mind Clausen, but I hope it's not him.

Danny 04-22-2010 07:41 PM

lol and I post that, there is a trade.

San Fran wants Earl Thomas?

Draft is so much more fun when the picks are suspenseful.

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:41 PM

cost San Fran a 4th rounder to move up 2 spots?? Who do they want so badly?

Yes. With San Fran. Swapped for the 13th overall and a 4th round.

This I'd be pissed with. He's a better guard than RT. Davis or Bulaga please.

edit: Ha...didn't even notice your edit made it's way into my quote.

The more I think about it, it's not going to be a tackle. Unless someone was gonna trade up to 12, I don't see the point.

If I had to guess, they figure the first round has two CBs worth taking, and Haden went a little early.

Or they could be shocked Bulaga is still on the board and figure someone else would have dealt with Denver to take him. Denver's been trying to move down from the beginning. They want to pull a Belichick and get a lot of picks out of this.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:44 PM

yep thought so, good pick San Fran

Swaggs 04-22-2010 07:44 PM

Wow... this draft is not going at all how I expected.

Logan 04-22-2010 07:44 PM

Yeah!!! There he is at the Fox and the Hound!

Congrats AD, and a Rutgers guy going to be my team!

Great move move down just two spots and pick up a mid 4th.

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:44 PM

okay...that makes sense

Crapshoot 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

I think the 49ers paid too much, but we needed a tackle, and Davis is better than Bulaga (in my uninformed opinion). Denver played good poker.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

I wouldnt be surprised if Miami trades this pick

Swaggs 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

Hopefully the Steelers get one of Bulaga, Pouncey, or Dan Williams. Or trade down a bit.

I'm a little worried they are going to end up with the CB from Boise State.

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

Lots of teams willing to ignore bad work habits in college in return for size.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

Bam called it 10 seconds b4 it happened!

bulletsponge 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

another trade, chargers OTC

JonInMiddleGA 04-22-2010 07:45 PM

LOL, I thought the head shake & dismayed look on Davis' face was because he'd been drafted by SF. Instead the shot was on delay apparently & they celebrated when they saw the pick.

Solecismic 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

Can Miami ignore the only NT who can contribute right away?

Galaxy 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

Love the comments on the Bills facebook blog. Taking Tebow at #9 is just as dumb. And I'm not convinced on Clausen.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

Earl Thomas to SD? or Bulaga?

Swaggs 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

San Diego moves up? Ryan Matthews?

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

no way I really don't think they take Matthews here.

obviously they need a RB, but at 12 I'd just be surprised.

DaddyTorgo 04-22-2010 07:46 PM

apparently so Jim

Swaggs 04-22-2010 07:47 PM

Maybe Miami likes Terrance Cody, but doesn't think he is worth it here?

this would make sense.

Parcells loves those big run stuffing DTs

Bad-example 04-22-2010 07:49 PM

I like the Davis pick for the Niners. Fixing the OL was their number one need.

Swaggs 04-22-2010 07:49 PM

If Dan Williams falls to Pittsburgh, I hope they don't pass him up.

Rizon 04-22-2010 07:49 PM

Parcells and his wheeling and dealing. Didn't think the Phins were going to pick at 12.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:50 PM

I just think thats too high for Matthews. but SD does need rbs.

was just thinking that Tomlinson was probably the last Wac RB taken in the first round. heh.

Berman is so freaking annoying. I hate how he acts like he is guessing about stuff, when he clearly has two dozen reporters in his ear telling him what is going on. I like the rest of the ESPN team, but wish he would just host instead of trying to be such an expert and a personality.

k0ruptr 04-22-2010 07:51 PM

Eagles move up, Earl Thomas maybe?

Mustang 04-22-2010 07:51 PM

Wow.

At least as a Packers fan I'm happy because guys are sliding.

Here comes Thomas to the EAgles
