Good news, I'm running a team.

Bad News is: The team's gone through four owners in less then a season, and they've pretty much wrecked the team financially and player wise. 90% of the team left when their contract expired. I'm trying to recruit folks to make up for it, but as things stand, I can only pretty much give a mininum to your level contract. But If you don't mind, I'd be glad to send you an offer

Anyone have a guard, CB, LB that is 14+ that needs a team?

Looking for a LB, DT and G. The Guard would be a backup spot, but players over lvl 20 would start at both DT and LB.

My buddy is getting a team in the next release, will be a capped team at lvl 13, I will be the GM and basically doing everything for the next few months (he is busy in med school)- so I will be looking for some players to fill out the roster. I'm assuming since so many teams are being released talent will be stretched thin, so I'd love to have some FOF guys starting on the team.

Trying to rebuild the Victoria Admirals, we hit a downward spiral last season, some of it is my fault as I didn't secure another GM after PurdueBrad has to step down.

If anyone wants to play in the CPL and wants to bolster a team hit me up, we need OL, WR, QB and CB.

My team has finally reached the European West Pro league this year, we need a DE as we have only 2 right now (the backups are leaving to friends teams). We have 5 or 6 FOFCers already and we are a stable team with good interaction in the team forums, tactics discussions, etc.

Level 15 Guard needs a team....

I need Cornerbacks. Anyone got any CB willing to play for my team?

I have a level 7 CB...Blasty McDynamite. He's a Zone guy.
I also have a level 13 QB name a' Hark Twiney.

Bob Kalsu is now a FA. Would prefer to play for an FOFC owned team. Don't have to start, just want max xp possible.

There's one thing that I have found to really detract from the "development" experience in this game. Since so many of us (and our opponents) basically started at the same time, the process of advancing to higher and higher XP and levels really has no practical effect. My DE has advanced to lvl 24 or so, but since every OT he faces is also in that naighborhood, it's basically a draw. *shurg*

I miss out on the incremental abilities I'm used to from a more standard RPG... where as my guy move up levels I can face tougher and tougher challenges and expect more and more rewards from my exploits. Here, it's more like the cold war... I just need to keep leveling to avoid being completely run over by the perpetual advance of all those around me. (That's happening slowly anyway, but my guy is at least still good enough to play)

The one thing that I am hating is trying to get free agents signed.

We eliminated a lot of our inactive riff raff last season and took a big time chemistry hit keeping us at the bottom of the Canada Pro League, however towards the end we gave a good fight to some of the tougher teams.

Now no one will sign with us because we are perceived as "losing team", it's beginning to piss me off and to the point I am getting disgusted with the game.

I think the key to the higher levels is how your player is built. You can be a level 24, but if you've not spent your points wisely, the Level 24 might be outclassed by a Level 18 player that has built their player better.

I just joined as a level one cornerback and signed with a CPU team. I've been playing MetroHo, the online hockey sim, a lot lately so I thought I'd give this football once a shot.

I have to say the AI tweaks leave the play calling to the imagination. It's made it definitely interesting again. Seeing some teams that should not be winning doing it against bigger guys.

The jury is out if that is the AI hindering the big guy or the AI helping the little guy.

My team is in desperate need of some help...and high rater players looking for some cash, and chance to be the man on a team let me know.

Also, there a lvl 7 SS on my team who is looking for a trade so that he can start- if you have a capped team and looking for someone, let me know and I'll be glad to send him over for min cash.

I created a pretty in depth defensive and offensive gameplan. We played against one of the better teams in our league. We are a top team also and we stomped them.

There are bugs defiantely, but you have so much control of how your team plays now. I really got my team to run the ball the way I wanted to.

I moved to the 3 - 4 defense and I really applies the heat and it worked out. You can choose what guys to blitz.

It reminds me of that old game called Playmaker football.

The team i own (Toledo Swords), has only 3 DE's so a 4th one would be great for our rotation system as having only one backup limits us a lot. We are in the Western Europe pro league after being promoted past season from AAA.

We have several FOFCer's with 1 or more players in the team, like Subby, gstelmack, Breizhmanu, Jeebers, Chesapeake and me and we discuss tactics daily etc in the team forum.

I'll send you an offer now, but have on mind that you will share time with those other 3 DE's already in the team. Nobody has the starting spot guranteed and we really try to give enugh time to every player in the deep chart, but if you just want a ton of playing time as starter, this won't be the right team for your DE (i like to make it clear in advance).

The Silverbacks are having an awful year. We used to have a terrific running game and a terrific run defense. Now we suck at both. This will be our first year out of the playoffs.

Actually, I was going to sell back the team and either cut or traded everyone. The team consists of all CPU guys right now other then a few stragglers of Arles.

I haven't sold it back yet just because of the car wreck factor.

Yeah, I added some of my guys in the D-League to get more XP. Of course, the QB has been seriously beat down and may never recover ;)

Just for balance, the only non-cpu guys are my level 7-9 ones. Given they are facing deep teams in the 24-29 range, it's not surprising to see massive blowouts.

It sure seems like this sort of "drift" was pretty inevitable.

If you're a guy who has poured hundreds of dollars of cash into this thing (like it seems some definitely have) are you feeling rewarded when your team full of ca$h players goes out and crushes somebody else's team 187-0? Do you think that's fulfilling?

I guess the way for this to sort itself out is just for those remaining hands-on teams to eventually coalesce into fewer and fewer teams by way of promotion and relegation -- but it sure sounds like a boring transition to me.

Yeah it is rewarding and fun. For the record quite a few teams are good by solely recruiting other players.

Its a time vs money thing for me. I have money but not alot of time. So, I bought and built alot of players so my team could be successful. I enjoy the game, but I don't have all the time in the world to recruit a ton of players. I have some players from other coaches, but my team is made of mostly my players and a few other people.

The gameplanning engine is getting better as well. I like owning a team, because I have complete controll of the gameplan. Since, I own alot of the players I have complete control of their tactics and builds.

I could see where others think its a waste of money or not rewarding, but I like it.

I'm on the same page as Astros, except the opposite. I enjoy the recruiting aspect. I have a very deep team of 50 players (all active, nearly all boost) - only 8 are my guys and 2 of those are just depth/special teams guys. 10-12 are FOFC guys and around 30 are guys I recruited to come play.

So, it costs me around $40 a season (cheaper if you buy points in bulk) to boost all my players on that team and field a team that has lost one regular season game in two full seasons. We have a very competitive conference with 8-10 teams capable of making a run in the playoffs and 5-6 very difficult games. Given the enjoyment I've had in finding wrinkles in the AI and building the team/stadium/players - I'd say it's worth that expense.

If you roll out a highschool team vs the patriots, I would imagine there would be scores just like that.

This game has pretty decent numbers and stats when the teams are of the caliber of skill. Its only when you have lopsided teams where you see scores of 150 to 0 etc...

Like, I said. Take the local highschool team and match them against a pro team and see what happens.

Actually, let me take that one step further. If you take Bowl Bound or FOF and you had players with all 1,2,3 etc... and played against players that were all pros and you didn't see results like that then I would say bowl bound or FOF had some major "fixing" going on in their engine.

I declined a contract offer from my current team after a game in which the backups were supposed to start and yet my HB barely played, but the owners HB and starter played the entire game. So, yeah, if anyone needs an ok RB, I should be available shortly.

Anybody need a level 13 C? I actually try to build a balanced guy instead of all of the people who purely pump strength. Yeah, I know it's important, but I think having 3 in Line General has helped a team that started 1-3 go 10-2 since then with a 8 game win streak and in the title game. We actually beat the two higher rated teams and now seem to be favored to win it.
