Repeatedly.

CU Tiger 08-01-2010 11:01 PM

That was great thank you.....but I AGREE punch the owner in the face what kinda tard owns a cat...

tucker rocky 08-01-2010 11:03 PM

Since pics that I've posted in the past seem to bother certain people on this board, I picked this video which seems harmless.

"Farms"
"Rollerskating girls"
Sp**mies"

These 3 pics bothered certain people.

The pet bath is really harmless to your pet by the way.

As a person who works in the pet industry, I can assure you that stressing an animal that much is NOT healthy at all.

Difference between cats and dogs. The cat freaks out the entire time, the dog figures out pretty quickly it isn't going to kill him/her and submits to it.

I agree it's not a nice thing to do to kitty...but it speaks volumes about species-based differences, huh?

jeff061 08-02-2010 08:59 AM

Well dogs also deal with water better in general.

Kodos 08-02-2010 09:10 AM

I say we waterboard the guy doing it. No harm, right? Just some water.

wade moore 08-02-2010 09:13 AM

Why am I the only one apparently bothered that now we're straight-up putting YouTube videos in the images thread rather than the YouTube thread?

Kodos 08-02-2010 09:17 AM

You get bothered easier than others? ;)

At least YouTube stuff doesn't launch unless you want it to. Unlike GIFs.

Seeing a cat under stress gets to you that much huh.....your a sensitive little guy. How sweet.

Kodos 08-02-2010 09:32 AM

Yes. Watching a helpless animal suffer for no reason bothers me. Guess I'm not a big man like you.

I also am a small man, for it bothers me too.

I'm with alien boy. If making animals frantic and panic stricken is entertaining to you perhaps you need some electro-shock therapy, lets see how you enjoy such things.

whomario 08-02-2010 10:42 AM

i´m of the WTF side in regards to that machine btw. You get a Cat, you should know it´s most likely not fond of water and will smell funky at times for it, deal with it...

anyway, speaking of cats in the water :

and a random "oh yeah, typical cat move" picture :

MrBug708 08-02-2010 01:07 PM

Seems like that particular cat just doesn't like water. How do you give it a bath if it smells and wants nothing to do with water? One of my dogs hates water to no end (Doxie) and shakes almost uncontrollably during a bath, but it still needs a bath.

But ya, water boarding is what that owner deserves!

Kodos 08-02-2010 01:09 PM

ALL cats hate water. And nobody has actually established that this particular cat stank and "needed" a bath, as far as I know.

illinifan999 08-02-2010 01:14 PM

I had 3 cats that lived for 18, 20, and 21 years. The 20 and 21 year olds never needed a bath. The 18 year old only got a bath once because he got paint all over his fur.

MrBug708 08-02-2010 01:15 PM

Clearly that cat is under so much torture that he is confused as to what his actions may be and is suffering a case of stockholm syndrome.

Danny 08-02-2010 01:20 PM

And the title of that youtube video is "Typical cat, loves water" right?

JediKooter 08-02-2010 01:21 PM

I've had to give my cats a bath, but, that was due to them getting into something stinky or fleas. I don't think all cats hate water, but, I'm pretty sure all cats would hate how the water is being applied in that video, plus any noise that even remotely sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

If the original video was titled "Crazy cat, hates water", would that mean he was the exception?

Danny 08-02-2010 01:23 PM

What is your experience with cats? There are exceptions of course, but most cats do in fact hate water.

Mustang 08-02-2010 01:24 PM

I'm wishing someone would have put a bikini on that cat so it would have been removed and all this talk would go away.

I agree it was stupid, but not as stupid as people wanting to punch the owners in the face or comparing it to water boarding

This. If there is a "cat odor" in your house, change the litter box.

Suburban Rhythm 08-02-2010 01:34 PM

Just imagine the outrage if a cat was thrown up on by a Philly fan!!!!

Ksyrup 08-02-2010 01:35 PM

If he choked up a hairball, most of you would have called him a Philly fan.

Waterboarding may be over the top, sure, but a good punch in the face would be about right. Just two instances of intentionally inflicting pain and suffering.

Danny 08-02-2010 01:47 PM

Also regarding if a cat actually needed a bath, my guess is you could have a good effect from running that machine for 5 seconds as opposed to 30 or whatever it was.
